What silly mistakes have you made in DIYing

What are the silly mistakes you've made while DIYing, I had my 1st silly mistake this last weekend.

Mixed up a 50mil of juice that came out really good in testing and 2 new 10mil recipe testers, to then notice I hadn't changed the default from 50%PG/50%VG on the nicotine to 100%VG on the ejuice calculator, thought I might just be able to add more VG to make up for it, but then realized it would put flavor out too, and not enough room in the 50mil bottle, decided was not worth the hassle and dumped the 70mils of juice and started over.

I'm hoping I'm not the only one to make this sort of silly mistake.

Lesson I learnt, double check and triple check everything before mixing :)

I've learned
- not to buy huge bottles of concentrates until I've tried them.
- that the flasks and beakers that I thought were essential to mixing make lovely vases.
- not to follow other people's percentages as law.
- that my furry friends need to be stowed away till I'm done mixing.
- that other people's favorites don't mean they'll be mine, too.
- to keep a roll of paper towels nearby at all times (Viva brand is the best).
- ordering a poop load just to get the free shipping is worthless if the product is crap.
- not diy, but no matter how many times I try it, my electric toothbrush, pen, spoon...is not a pv.

I've done this once, and probably will again sometime...not shaking my new mix before filling my glassomizer.

I think this would only be a real concern if I filled from the TOP of the mix where all the 100mg/ml nic is. I usually fill from the middle of the bottle (with a syringe). Even then, I think I'm very sensitive to the taste and feeling of nic (even the UK stuff), so I would recognize it right away.

My wife mixes too, and just a few days ago she is mixing away, just got to add 1 more flavor to the bottle, and she knocks the bottle over, luckily only a 10 mil bottle, good job DIYing is so cheap lol

Mine is not juice related but I was changing my coil and put my top cap back on my dripper but then took it off again for some reason I can't remember and went to take a draw....well you can guess what happened after that....looked like I had lip herpes for a week

Totally unrelated....well kind of....I was into reef aquariums for about 20 yrs and I was gluing a frag down on a piece of rock and went to put the super glue gel tube in my mouth to hold it while I placed the rock and well what do you know....I forgot to put the cap back on....me and caps....it's a love hate relationship!!!

I tend to reuse bottles and stuff, which is all fine and dandy...as long as I don't forget to re-label them with the ACTUAL contents. And, look at them.

One time I caught myself mixing a 120ml batch with a 20mg nic dilution when I stupidly assumed it was full-strength 100mg. That would have been a crappy batch of fail if I hadn't looked twice at the bottle...or far worse if it had been the other way around.

I'm a bit more diligent now about that sort of thing, but whew...

I've started putting supplies in amber bottles and ejuice in blue bottles so I don't mix the two and vape the wrong thing, though I always read my clearly-labelled bottles, too.

My label maker has optional borders for your labels, so I also use a particular border for nic, and one for PG/VG, and no border for flavors (in clear bottles or vials).

Was mixing 30ml's of Chinese "M1" menthol tobacco flavor 18mg nic 50/50 juice. Went WAY too heavy on the flavor (that china shit is STRONG!) ended up with 240mls of juice. Shortly after I realized I dislike tobacco flavor juice :(

First mix ever.... read the wrong line for flavoring. Put ONE FULL ML of TFA Caramel Cappucino in a 10ml mix.

Would not vape Coffees for a while. Then I met FA.
When I first started, my brain did have to adjust to working with syringes until I changed over to grams. I'd confuse ml with .ml

I mean...when it said .3ml, I'd add 3ml. It was hard to comprehend such tiny amounts.

That's how I feel about coffee, thanks to TFA CC, that is some nasty ass shit, tried it in 2 mixes, after that the bottle went in the trash, have no idea how they think this tastes anything like Caramel Cappucino
