11 watts. I'm using a LG HG2, aka doodoo brown, and getting 2 days and 2 Borotanks out of it. I'm tempted to try the 0.7 ohm ones.

Sent from my pants.

I run the .7nats (.84) and it sips juice and battery life I can get almost 4 tanks with my 30Qs...but flavor is meh to me, I'd try the higher Ω ones, but the .7's are mediocre in the flavor department, which makes me think the others ones wont be much different.

I'm sure the possibility of my juice just not being keen for it (7% flavoring) but even some of my higher % flavoring juice tastes like shit with them, well not shit, just not like its supposed to, well not even close to...nah its shit lol

I'm not crazy about the flavor I'm getting from this 1.6, to be honest. It's okay but I'm getting better flavor from my Limitless Pulse pod vape. Really want those MF bridges to come.

Yeah, I'm back with the A-Tank... the .9 cCell guzzles juice in comparison, doesn't last nearly as long as the Nats, slightly airy without a plug, but its night and day in flavor...hopefully the MF bridge is good...really will be the last chance for me with the BB, then its going to the chopping block I am afraid.

Euc coils should finally be here Monday. Got the 1.3 and the .5 so I can get the sleeve for the a-tank. If that doesn't work I will have some euc coils if anyone needs them.

Btw Brew, do you use any of Troy's plugs with the MF Bridge?

Sent from my pants.
Nope! They don't fit with the MTL kit. I never got past the MTL.....maybe I should try the 0.5 ohm coils....oh. wait, I just ordered a pack so it will be a while....

Oh really? That's a bit of a downer. I like how it keeps the condensation at bay

It should work fine with the regular bridge (the TP I mean), other than that, I give it a quick wipe when I fill the tank. I usually pull the tank out once a week and give the inside of the BB a thorough wipe down. It really is @troydestroy 's fault for not accommodating us and making the plugs we so much need!:teehee::cheers:

Awww man

I'm busy right now working in getting my CNC machine up and going. I haven't forgot about you and your mf/mtl plugs though @BrewBear

Questions about the sxkusbbb. Got an Atlantis coil in and can't get it to read anything but SS or n200 or titanium. Got it from gadget and asked if he took kanthal out. Do I need to add it back on I'm guess with escribe. If so are there any certain parameters? Like a tcr value is anything

You should still be able to run it in power mode. If not setting up profile strictly for power should do it

A Factory Reset might be a good idea. Can be done through Escribe.

Does anyone know the dimensions, height vs. diameter of the various BB drip-tip keys from JMK or Nolli Designs?

Also, the Nolli Designs do not say the materials they are made of, and without some conductive metal in the threading, the BB will not fire since this is the ground connection between the atomizer and the case.

If nobody knows, or has one to look at (and measure, in mm please) I'll have to ask these folks directly.

Thanks!

Dropped in to say hello. Been a squonker almost exclusively for a few years. Just got this SXKUSBBB two days ago, and love it. I travel quite a bit, and wanted something easier than traveling with all my supplies for rebuilding. The onboard charging sealed it for me.
Currently using the Vapeshell with a 1 ohm SS316L and rayon wick. Flavor is great, and love the form.

Anyone here ever use the Triton Mini 1.8 ohm clapton coils? I'm wonder if they might give better flavor than the traditional Nauti coils...

Hey guys. Looking for a little help. Guy at my local shop took a billet box in on trade. Looking for glass and coil sources as the coil is old and glass was cracked. Since it is shop owned he says it's also available to buy for $160 or so? Has a small mark on the button side as seen in the pics.

Any advice is much appreciated!

Someone older into BB will have to help on that one Dave. Not much rev 3 action these days I don't think. Not sure where you could find the glass

That's a BB rev.3, I'm not sure the glass from rev.4 will fit. Your best bet on that is asking the manufacturer. The coil looks like the Aspire BVC. That's an easy fix, just replace it.

Yeah we got the coil figured out he just doesnt carry them. I think if he was to keep it for himself he was going to go with the kanger replacement parts... not sure what's best?

The Kanger coils seem to have a bit more air, others here can confirm that.

I've got one of the Kanger rba's in one of my rev 4s. I love it. Getting a steam tuner clone rba in a few weeks when it arrives to try it out. But the Kanger works well man. Not sure about the ssocc coils.

I have the Busto- 10mmOD 4mmID 10mm tall
and the Pico- 8mmOD 4mmID tall

The Nolli tips are some sort of plastic, but I'm not sure? They don't screw in, but press fit (no o-rings) into the top "nut". Therefore they don't need to conduct. 13mmOD 5mmID 10mm tall.

NOTE: measurements where all done with a rule, by eye, so not super accurate, but should give you an idea.....

As other folks have said, that's a Rev-3.a

Seems to me like replacement parts are rare, even BBV does not show them avail.:
https://billetboxvapor.mybigcommerce.com/first-generation/

You may have to look on FB groups, or Flipper sites. maybe contact BBV from the link above and see if they can sell you the tanks and glass?

I do not know if any of the currently available bridges will work with the Rev3.a boro tank, so getting something else in there besides that Nautilus bridge in your photos might be a challenge.

Also, using the 18350 batteries, each with their typical 900mAh capacity is likely to not give very long run time compared to the 3000 mAh 18650s we often use now in the Rev-4.b version of the BB.

For trying to maximize the run-time of those batteries, I think you'd truly want to keep your resistance up closer to 2.0 Ohms, and to use that existing Nautilus bridge, I know that there are readily available coils that Aspire makes for the Nautilus that are 1.8 Ohm, so that will 'work'.

Just IMHO, for a collector, that's a nice piece, but will be difficult to get running properly today, and for a daily use vaping device, you can get an SXK clone with a DNA60 chip and USB port (for charging in a pinch, and customizing via Escribe) for $100-$125, or the previous iteration without the USB port for ~$90, or the other version with the Ares 70w chip for ~$70 currently.

Alternatively, current authentic Rev-4.b BB units can be had direct from BBV starting @ ~$264 (but they do NOT have a USB port, yet a dongle can be made from a $5 add-on, which I have done myself):

Kanger SSOCC coils in the 0.5 are quite airy, restricted lung hit for sure.

Yes, I have used the SSOCC (round coil barrel) in the 0.5 and 1.2 Ohm resistance, and the SOCC (squared coil barrel) in the 0.5 Ohm resistance.

Either of the 0.5 Ohm coils have lots more air, with the coil inside the coil head having a 3.6mm inner diameter, and the 1.2 Ohm coil is more restricted (an more pleasant for me) while having an ~2.5mm inner diameter.

You can get Kanger bridges from BBV themselves direct, as well as from Atmistique in Greece.

For a Rev-3.a BB unit, you may have to look for something called the 'Kangeroo' if these others for the modern BB unit do not fit. I do not know if they will fit.

Other forums said you need a 35mm long unit like the old cartomizer heads, and I've seen conflicting info also about 40mm long and 45mm long, but I've not measured them yet myself, and I dont have a Rev-3.a to test on.

Got the euc coils today with sleeve. These things are tiny. Got the .5s for the sleeve and 1.3 for mtl for the a-tank if I decide to go that route. Got some more boros and rba coming in a few weeks from Gadget. So the .5 euc coils for the sleeve that came with it but the 1.3ohm coils are too small. Did @BrewBear said those are for the MF bridge. Don't plan on getting one so if someone wants these 1.3s pm me

As far as I'm aware of, the 1.3/1.4ohm coils are MTL and you have to use the MTL kit with the MF bridge for the BB or use the Drizzle tank from Vaporesso. If nobody wants the coils, I'll give them a home, but I'll let the other people here take a crack at it first.

Actually i think they take 16340 batteries... Even harder to come across and lower capacity than 18350s
Thanks for the correction. :)

I've only come across one Rev3.a BB in the wild, and that was very early in my vape journey, before I knew much more than internal or 'external' 18650 cells.

That initial favorable impression of the old BB stuck with me tho, since I have 2 now and seriously thinking about the SXK DNA60 w/USB in the RPG color.

When I started, the choices were either a Subvod, Kbox mini kit, or a Releaux RX 2/3 at the local shop, and one customer, who later became a friend, walked in with that BB and I offered him $200 cash on the spot for it and he politely declined.

Later he sold it without letting me know (fcker!), but he uses a PHIX now.
