Aesthetics and Ergonomics

The Suorin Vagon comes in cardboard box packaging with the Vagon with installed pod in a top tray and the other included items in a lower tier. I received the Blue version which is a glossy Blue with a metallic sheen, it's also available in Orange, Red, Black and Green. Both battery and pod are very curvy (it's a very aesthetically pleasing shape) with a strong springy clip on the bottom which can be used to clip the device onto your pocket or belt. The front of the device has a large frosted silicone "V" which allows the LED light to shine through, one side has a micro USB port towards the bottom while the other side is featureless. The back of the device has a removable filling instruction sticker and on the back of the clip we have branding and safety stamps. The Vagon is very ergonomic and pocket friendly and the curved mouthpiece feels very comfortable while vaping.

The Pod

You receive just one pod with the kit which has a 1.3 coil sealed inside with organic cotton wicking material, my opinion is all pod systems of this type really should come with at least 2 pods but looking online the pods can be bought for $5 for 2 which is pretty good. The base of the pod has 2 gold plated contacts and very small airflow slit with resealable membrane which seems to do it's job as i suffered no leaking or condensation. To one side on the base we have a removable bung which once removed reveals a generous fill port (i can't think of a pod system i've used off the top of my head that has a port quite this big, as usually they are tiny) the pod holds 2ml of e-liquid and should be left standing after filling for 10 minutes before using (of course only when the pod is new). The curved mouthpiece which as mentioned is very comfortable between the lips has mostly a solid top with only a small opening for the vapor. The one thing that does need to be mentioned is the pod is a very dark Black tinted colour so it's not very easy to see your juice level.

Using the Vagon

The Vagon is a simple device to use as there are no operational buttons and fires with the action of your inhale, it has a maximum output of 12w and is a direct output device. The "V" on the front of the device lights up when you vape to give battery status indication, when the battery is between 70% and 100% it lights up Green, between 30% and 70% it lights up Blue and when the battery is below 30% it lights up Red, finally when the device needs charging the light flashes Red.

Charging

The device supports pass-through so you can vape while charging and charging the device took just less than 1 hour the 4 or 5 times i charged it. When you charge the Vagon it flashes Red, towards the end of the charging process it starts to flash Green and when the light turns to a solid green the device is fully charged.

My Experience Using the Vagan

I have had the device a while and have been using it when i go out testing other devices while i'm at home, it's how i always test these type of devices so tend to use them for quite a while before sharing my opinion. I was expecting looking at both the very small airflow and small opening on the mouthpiece for the Vagon to be a super tight draw but actually it's quite loose, not very loose but definitely still what i would describe as a loose MTL draw, also the vapor production was impressive for a pod device at such low wattage. I also wasn't impressed with the flavour to begin with as it took a fair time to break-in but once the flavour came through it's not bad at all, not excellent but good for a pod system, the other thing to note is i have been using the same pod all the time i have been using the device and the flavour has not deteriorated at all so the pods last a good while and are not expensive but still in my opinion an extra pod should be included. I used both 50/50 and 70 VG liquid and both worked fine although i used the 70VG first which possibly prolonged the break-in period. As mentioned the battery charges in an hour max and supports vape while charging which is a must in my opinion as i wasn't over impressed with the battery life, it's fine for using for an out and about device making sure it's fully charged before leaving home but it won't come close to seeing most people through the day. The Vagon is a direct output device but i didn't really notice any drop off with power until just before the battery was almost ready for charging, but i still prefer constant output devices. As with these low wattage devices the Vagon is very much suited to high nicotine e-liquid and nic salts.

Final Thoughts

Not a pod user by choice but the Vagon is one i liked as the loose drawer is how i prefer to MTL despite really hoping when i try a pod system it will give a tight drawer so it's suited to more people just giving up the ciggies. I was impressed with how long the flavour lasts but less so with the battery life.
