None of us bit on it - though the OG (nonsquonk) Reactor was a very bad ass mech

While the Deco look on it is insane, there were a few niggles you could see on the construction of the outside of the mod

I seriously considered picking one up a few months back. If it'd had silver internals I'd of probably caved and got one

Reactor Squonk by MCV Philippines.

The mod is called the Underground; SQK (short for squonk) denotes the model. You can get it as an Underground mod (regular mech mod) or Underground SQK mod (an Underground that squonks)

I just watched Dean's presentation video on the Basium.

Looks nice, and I like that it has a square footprint, but the heft will likely be too much for me. I really want to avoid anything bigger/heavier than the Inbox v3. I like the finish on the Basium though.

I think Bogan showed off one of these (authentic) in a vlog/bog many months back but I don't recall him doing an actual review on it.

Just curious, anyone here have a holy? Thoughts?

These look interesting, though as @The Cromwell says, JAMS. Might eventually find myself getting one of these. Seems I'm realizing a slight affinity to plastic type mods & especially smaller form factor ones. Not giving up metallic mods.

Currently, I'm looking for a basic variable wattage regulated squonk mod. It does not need to have temp control. I can handle it only doing 50 watts and having an end positioned squonk hole like a Coppervape. Would like it to use only a single 18650 cell for a battery. Don't need fancy features or material, designs, logos.

Plan on using either SS or Kanthal for my coils at around 0.50 - 0.30 ohms. That is my sweet spot using either a single or dual coil build. Lower rated ohms is too hot for me to vape as well as draining on batteries quickly. Gosh darn being practical & simple, I know.

I've found that 5 spaced wraps of 24g Kanthal A1, on 3mm ID, in the Wasp Nano, which comes out to ~0.47 Ohms, gives a nice warm and moist vape when on a mech squonker such as the Pulse BF (in spite of the 0.4Vdrop I measured) and stays that way until the battery is down around 3.11v.

If you have a Wasp Nano, and a mech squonker, maybe give this a shot before you invest in a regulated device, you might like it.

Battery life is better for me, and almost double with that Kanthal build, as opposed to the same 5 spaced wraps of 24g SS316L on 3mm ID, which comes out to ~0.25 Ohms. The SS wire has roughly half the resistance of Kanthal at the same mass, so the SS ramps quicker, but also gets significantly hotter once ramped up. SS is better if you take short, hard draws, and the KA1 is better if you like to take a longer, relax draw and do not mind the ramp time.

Also, if chain vaping, the Kanthal takes longer to cool down, so once ramped up after the first 1-2 draws, it stays at a more consistent temp to you lips.

Bingo.. I was musing how I'd phrase that as I was recoiling the other day. Given that I Fire&DRAG at home or work, (and at work it's a fast hit and back to the salt-mine), that's why I still lean toward SS316L - I can't quite convince myself to buy more kanthal - again.

Yes, I'm using Fast Tech's generic Pirate Coil brand of 24 AWG which rates out to around 0.50 Ω +/- 0.02-5. These are Kanthal A1 wire, got 100 piece pack for $3.00 USD or a little less. I simply cannot buy a spool of 30.48 meters of Kanthal, and figure to build each out of 100 pieces so percisely, at that cost. TEMCO charges around $6.00 USD for the spool of wire.

If I was fair on my labor time, roughly $10.00 USD per hr at possibly 4 hrs if I remained on task, there's $46.00 USD. That still does not guarantee I would hit their consistent tolerance Ω wise no matter how much I chant the mantra "the force is within me, I am one with the force."

Unfortunately, their CMS (Computer Machining Systems) is just too up to par excellence and could likely do those same 100 pieces in say 15 minutes. I know that because I was likely one of the human workers that trained up the machines to go so swiftly and accurately.

"You son, do the work and let the cameras record you so the computers can extrapolate your methods and improve them efficiently."

"Oh, okay then the machines can do my work. I can then go do other work."

"Yes, yes, and we'll let the machines record you all day."

Nope, I never pondered the notion. I was a dumb kid, what does anyone expect I had learning disabilities, emotional trouble/s. Life at home was shit. I worked and the higher ups seemed happy I wanted to help them. Never really thought on it too much.

If you have a Wasp Nano, and a mech squonker, maybe give this a shot before you invest in a regulated device, you might like it.

Yep, got two WASP Nanos. One is on a Pico Squeeze which for me is half way toward the spot I'm seeking. I do like the setup also on my CopperVape, which is a full mech.

Uh huh, note all that as well. Finding out the Kanthal is better for long draws, and more frequent ones. Forget using NiChrome 80, to me that stuff just reeks of "hey let's walk into a foundry and stay hot all night!" I'm not able to find a sweet spot for it Ω wise. I'll think I have it, then it goes wonky and changes up. Then, I try that spot next build, then ... wonky, repeat. I'm going to keep chasing that maliciously vicious circle. I say, "fuck that!" Might be great toaster wire but I'm not sure it suits for vaping. Pardon my Turkish.

Also, if chain vaping, the Kanthal takes longer to cool down, so once ramped up after the first 1-2 draws, it stays at a more consistent temp to you lips.

Eh, chain vaping? Me? Nah, never, no not me. ;) :p I take to that in fits at times, yes. I kind of vape like I used to smoke, to offset the anxiety, to offset needing something in my hand/s to do. Me set still? Nope, doesn't happen despite seeming so as I type up posts, at times doing that I'm doing three to four other things as well.

It's not so much the enjoyment issue seeking out a regulated squonker for me. It's a perception of others issue.

"Oh hey look he's vaping on a regulated mod, at least he's being safe."

Normally I don't give a shit and quite enjoy kissing dynamite to vape. Then here comes one of those damn but things, ... they always show up, always. In our current age with rampant fear/s and large throngs of people crowded in places, stupidity can add to fear. next thing I know I'm rendition off for being a terrorist as I enjoy a mech mod in public. I'm thinking Wal Mart parking lots, any dept store or retailer parking lot, safe areas that folks allegedly can vape or smoke in public.

So if I kind of blend in and go with the flow so to speak, "you'll vape a regulated mod or else."

See my camel flaunting? ;) It's called being S-M-A-R-T or so my wife tells me. "Eliminate any need for anyone to give you hassle over vaping," she tells me. Others have said similar or as much. To me it seems like one of those Good Ideas and it got me thinking. Of course, I can eat a hubcap loaded with beans using my hands if need be and not think much on it. I'm also told my thinker thinkers too much sometimes, I can never find him to shut him up though, ... rat bastard! :)

Excuse me need to dart off a while, ... housework and or scrambling the nuclear football codes, maybe. Hehe. :)

purple mountains majesty

Ah, quick and gone.

I saw that once. Rode back home to VA from Great Lakes MI. Bus topped up and over one of the first mountain crests coming into VA. I sat there in tears as what I saw was indeed majestic purple mountains and they seemed to call out to me, "welcome home".

Purple Mountain or Zijin Shan is located on the eastern side of Nanjing in Jiangsu province, China. It is 448.2 m high, with the lowest point 30 m.

First hit for Google with 'purple mountain'.

:yes:The Pico Squeeze 2 (PS2) arrived a couple of hours ago. It's a real nice looker and feels great in the hand. The fire button placement is gonna take some getting use to but that is what drew me to the mod in the first place. Feels real nice in the right hand but I haven't got the left hand placement down yet. The Coral RDA is not bad. A little hard for me to get the coil in with my big fingers and the 810 drip tip was a bitch to get out. The flavor is right up there though. First impression of the kit is great although I may throw it out in the yard by evening if things change. :)

The stuff you learn from the NSA, erm Watson, erm Deep Blue, erm Hal, erm Google.

Check the junk drawer. Oh wait, no I nabbed those last week for some nonpunishable stuff. Thought I put them back after. ... Was that @The Cromwell I saw after that at the junk drawer though? He needed them for his speak and spell Google bot I think.

To more serious stuff, or at least trying such, ...

Got the Firebird atomizer in today from Fast Tech. In all fairness, this
past week I've been fighting off a rough sinus / bronchitis infection. I
tried it a little today both with and without the reducer drip tip. For
me it seems more leaning to being a MTL atomizer. That said, this could
be from slight ailment straggling off on my end.

Will try vaping it out later on when I know the seasonal 'crud' has left
in full.

From my first looks at it though, it looks really sharply finished. It
went into the CopperVape 510 connector with truly buttery threads. :) I
usually need to worry over cross threading. This atomizer seems keen to
fit whatever it gets mated to for use. For me that rings of excellent
design consideration, excellent execution of machining.

Well, that's my quick little half review until I give it a more thorough
one.

Worst case scenario, I put it up for the paying forward bin. Pft. :)

Alright, out again. Y'all run er slow and catch some      , y'know what to do with extras. :)

That is at maximum a 20 A battery. did not find it in moochs test results but he showed a MXJO 2900 mah 30A cell to be a 10 amp cell.

I would not recommend buying an MXJO cell. all are over rated and some dangerously so.

Good to know. I didn’t look at mooches list for these. Just happened to get the email for them today.

Never buy relabeled batteries unless they have been 'mooch approved'.
for the most part only some of the relabeled 2XXXX cells are ok with mooch.
Actually they are pretty much all you can get in the 2XXXX cell right now.

And only buy from mooch approved battery sellers like Illumn.com. There ARE counterfeit HG2's sony's, etc out there.
from mooch's blog.

thx that is what I thought. I was one click away from the rage/rebel combo earlier today because of the '4th' promo and talked myself out of it. I think I am going to wait on the basium.
