OK, (this is like pulling teeth ;-), so.. Now.. which "spoil" did you use for this wire? ;-P
Huh? I do not know what a 'spoil' is in this context.

if you mean 'spool', I have 'master Of Clouds' brand ss316L, in 22,24,26,28,30.32.34,36 gauges in 50 ft spools I got off Amazon for ~$15 for the bundle, and in this case on the Wasp Nano, I used the 24g.

I have a set of precision screwdrivers, and used one with a 3mm dia. and wrapped the coil tight, by hand, and then pull it to spread the wraps, and then squish them back together, and usually this results in wraps spaced 1mm apart, so then I pull the wraps out along the rod of the screwdriver upon which they are wrapped, a second time, and squish back down towards the handle, this time not all the way. Then I hold it up to the deck of the Wasp Nano and see how the legs will line up with the screws in the posts on the deck. If all is well, then I will hold the coil so it does not rotate, and with a hemostat locked on the wire leg, pull that tight, and repeat for the other leg. Pulling the leg firms up and straightens out the last wrap at each end of the coil.

Does this help?

Bingo! 24awg ss316L, 6 turns w/1mm spacing! Hah! THanks, @Arthur-VU - that solved it ;-)

That's a good price for the bundle, btw. And, hmm.. I think I once had some M.O.C brand wire - I think I PIF'd it when I sold the r91.

My best performing build for the Pulse BF on an 18650 is a 0.25 Ohm, which I make with 5x spaced wraps of 24g ss316L on 3mm, but on the Wasp Nano this low of a build was burning my lips off, so I added a wrap, which brings it up to 0.31-0.34 Ohms.

I sometimes swap the Wasp Nano from the Inbox v3 to the Pulse BF for a change. (I plan to get another Wasp Nano so I dont have to swap.) I dont know if the DNA75 is doing PWM when it pushes power to the coil in TC mode, but sometimes it feels off to me (like I can sense the pulses when I am vaping), and I actually enjoy the straight analog 'feel' of current going directly to the coil without 'interference' from a chip.

Also, you mentioned 1mm spacing, that is a good starting point, but when I did that on the Wasp Nano, I got lots of molten juice spitting up and burning my lips, but with 3mm spacing, this issue went away. Once the coil is already installed, if you pull out the wick, and insert the coiling rod into the coil, you can then adjust the spacing with a small flat-head screwdriver if you want to pull them apart, provided you have enough slack in the coil, otherwise you may have to step down to a 2.5mm rod inside the coil, since pulling the wraps apart will require some slack and the smaller rod will allow for this slack.

Need some authentic entheon build advice...I have some fused aliens coming in ni80 but I tried a simple spaced 24g SS316 build (3mm i.d) at .27 ohms and I'm not impressed...moved the coil up and down everywhere and flavor is just muted big time.

Looking at the air flow holes it seems you have to be rather thin on cotton so I tried that a few different ways but zero zilch nada on flavor.

I run a 316L 2x26/36g fused clapton in mine. 3mm ID, 7 wraps I believe. Installed legs down and then I push the coil down as far as it will go. Really good flavor for me.

I'll try as low as I can make it without shorting out...lowest I tried was just above the air holes which is where I figured best results might show up for me.

I run fused claptons in both of mine as well. Air holes looking at about halfway of the coil

Got here early - USPS said Monday!

eta: dang, VU logo blocking the fact that I was aiming for 0.4, and landed on it exactly, lol

I like the airflow.
Verdict still out on looks, and flavor...but it's nicely made, and I LIKE it, just can't tell yet if I love it.
Probably not displacing Flave22 as my current favorite...

I'll be waiting on the final verdict - I love the Odis 16 to death, really liked the OG, but it was no fun to build and swapping out the pin they charged so much for....

I am waiting for the final verdict as well even though I don't think I'll get one. I like the Odis 16's too much, besides, between them, the Supersonics and KRMA, the Hadaly is getting a little rest, even the Nuppins are getting a much needed rest. Truth be told, I'm using the Billet Boxes quite a bit for MTL, mostly at work.....I've given in to my lazy nature, the 1.3 ohm coils in the MF bridge are the perfect mtl draw for me and so far I'm starting the third week on the same coil.

I'm lazy too, but can also be a cheapskate, even with luxury gear :giggle:

Well, the SXK ones are pretty cheap compared to the authentic (I'll be able to compare it to the authentic in a couple of weeks) the MF bridge with MTL Kit was $66.27 shipped and coils are $6 for a five pack. They use the same 18650 batteries too! Given the ease of use, I was convinced. I know you're a mech gal and honestly, I still love my squonks - just received my third SV mod - but for something to carry in a pocket and not get smashed with the car door (even when you bang it twice:teehee: ....sorry, couldn't resist) they are worth it. The SXK, should it be as good/sturdy as it sounds, will be the one to get dragged around and not be too worried.

Yeah - not quite as gougey - this comes with squonk pin (installed!), and with both black cap and tip, and SS cap wtih ultem tip.
Still not cheap, but not as bad as the OG

I believe MyVPro has them also in addition to Eciggity.
First ones for the masses are being shipped now from China. Oddly enough I haven't seen them for sale anywhere in the US yet. Mine shipped Saturday morning....

Dean and Todd both have reviews up on Deans Basium dual 18650 squonk mod.
Since I'd be refilling anyways, I don't see myself getting a dual batt squonker. Hard to get 2 batts and a bottle in a small ff that's pleasing, imo. For me single 2x700 is the way to go, even if regulated.

Synchronisation of bottle and battery suits me too. A vtc6 on dna75 with 7.5ml bottle just works. If batt goes flat with liquid left, I know I need new batteries

Well, it will be interesting to see how the modders using FB groups to sell their "exclusive" wares will handle the fees FB is starting to charge.
