I recently quit smoking, wanna give vaping a shot.

Hey ive been a smoker for about 11 yrs and I quit 5 days ago. I want to try vaping. Did thorough research about all aspects of vaping but still want to start with something simple to midrange mods/kits. Biggest problem is the limited variation of vaping products in my country (Lebanon). There are some vape shops but extremely pricy so I want to make sure i get a decent device.. any ideas? Im looking into Vaporesso Swag kit or the Revenger mini. Alot of Smok products are available but i learned that people are complaining about them on forums!!

Thanks

Welcome to VU - yes, avoid SMOK™ mods, (the tanks might be ok).

I'd order online. So far, no shop has been worth walking into.

Eleaf and Isticks are ok; geekvape Gbox is ok - you can order online and spend under $100usd to get a good start. I never recommend buying offered atomizer/mod combos.

Others will chime in.

Welcome to VU and congrats on quitting. If ordering on line is not an option both are good devices, go for which is more comfortable in hand.

Can you have vape gear sent to your country? If so, then buying directly from China is the way to go. I suspect anyone selling online in Lebanon will be charging quite a bit more so if you're willing to wait you can save a lot of money. In addition, the selection via China is endless.

Well that a good idea thanks. I want to see if the accessories/gear can pass Lebanese customs. Like you said, online shops and the very few shops here are extremely expensive.
Thanks for you advice

HI!
The online order of vapes is a great idea, especially if the physical shops are absent in your area and prices are too high. Regarding your choice of vapes, both Vaporesso Swag kit and Revenger mini are good. However, I advise you to buy Vaporesso Swag kit as it is more suitable for the beginner.
You can read more information about these two alternatives here:
https://vapingdaily.com/vape-starter-kits/vaporesso-revenger-mini-review/
https://vapingdaily.com/best-box-mods/vaporesso-swag-kit-vape-review/
I also decided which vape to buy first reviewing this site. I read it from time to time to be aware of the new paves or liquids.
Hope, it will help you!

Never quit quitting. It may take a few tries to quit for good, but keep trying.

Talk to your doctor, dentist, pharmacist, or other health care provider about the proper use and potential side effects of nicotine replacement products and other medicines to quit smoking. NCI’s Smokefree.gov also offers science-driven tools, information, and support that has helped smokers quit. You will find state and national resources, free materials, and quitting advice from NCI.

Reach out to people that can help, never be ashamed of the fact that you need help. Quitting smoking can be the hardest thing you will ever do, but it can also be one of the most rewording things you will ever accomplish.

Trust me on this, I was a smoker for more then 30 years and I tried to quit smoking more times then I can count. I was not successful until I (1) took quitting smoking seriously. (2) I sought out medical help. (3) used nicotine replacement therapy.

I'm not saying I quit smoking in 3 easy steps, its still hard. what I am saying is that, as hard as quitting smoking seems it can be done. I promise if I can quit smoking anyone can.

I feel as if smokers are caught in a lie, more like trapped in a web of lies. Big tobacco is a trap and its a lie! Free yourself now!!!!

The Swag is single 18650 and you could keep a charged battery on hand. Sony VCT6 is good and has 3000Mah. Revenger Mini has built in 2500Mah and may not last the day without plugging it in.
Go for dual 18650 if you can. A single charge will most likely last all day and be more future proof for other attys.

I ended up going for the Revenger Mini. The only reason i did was because i dont know how to maintain these batteries and was worried about safety. I admit that the internal battery is not too good but it "does the job" for a new vapor like me. I wanna go for a new mod that has replaceable batteries (maybe dual 18650) and buy a separate charger for them. I also want to buy an RDA or RBA and learn to build coils. Do you think the Revenger Mini can sustain any other RBA/RDA with low wattage?
