Unicorn Milk - I wasn't sure where to put this... For those who like this stuff, you may recall the recipe posted years ago from someone named cuttwood spy who said he had the original recipe. This was the first diy recipe I made, although I've never had the original. Well, people always commented that this was not the correct recipe. A good mixer on ATF, remixed it with a few changes by replacing the graham cracker and butter cream with FW and it's now supposedly the real thing. Thought some of you might be interested.

I had some of the original years ago. I finally mixed Cuttwood Spys recipe a few weeks ago. Memories fade, but that recipe doesn't match. I did it out of boredom really. The subs you mentioned make sense. I can see FW Graham Cracker being the one.

The mixer is slashlo who I think is very good so if you like unicorns milk, it's worth a shot. I like the profile and am going to give it a try once I finish vaping the multitude of other stuff I have steeping, LOL

Update on the Nilla Cake that I made with the Cap Vanilla Cupcake & Cap Golden Butter. It’s ok but I think it will be much better with @wildgypsy70 original TFA Vanilla Cupcake. Was going to mix it up today after I found the TFA Vanilla Cupcake but I’m pooped, went out all day. Will mix tomorrow with a few drops of FA Butter.

I think the TFA will be a better fit. And v6 is in the works.....v4, after a few days is looking like it’s steeping out well. I also think maybe the cake batter can be dropped to .25%. It’s still pretty prominent in v5, but I think it will steep out eventually. A few drops of fa butter will be good.

Btw.....I really liked the process of trying to come up with a “clone”recipe with y’all! We should do this more often!! Is anyone interested in a thread for this? Or I don’t know......something. Or just leave it here and let it blossom organically.....

For purely selfish reasons, I would love to see this group of mixing brains decode secret mysteries of great juice.

I think it's been out about 2 years? My rep from Dotmod moved to Elysian about a year ago and sent me a sample and I fell in love with it. It's my "go-to" juice for testing new builds, RDAs, RTAs, etc.

Ok. So no Real Flavors, Wonder Flavors or Vape Train in it, probably. I’m attempting to go “authentic”. Lol!

Me, too! I am by nooooooo means a pro, but this was(is....it’s still going on) such a fun process and I loved seeing the energy.

The collective knowledge of people with refined tastebuds crowdsourcing an end game and reverse engineering something is impressive. All the little details getting worked out in a short period of time with everyone coming together like Megatron to make it happen is the essence of a community. When this is said and done all the people hooked in here will be able to take that magic, swirl some drops of liquid together and voila. Goodness.

I thought it was huge fun, even if I was completely in the dark about where we were heading...

My problem will be that I've got very little experience with flavors that most people like - my tastes seem different in that I like spices and beverages more than sweet juices and fruits. I'm also really new at DIY.

Still, it was fun. :D

Thats what make sit work though. If everyone was shooting in the same vein it just wouldn't work out the same. Coming at it from different angles makes the process work better.

Same here - I don't really vape much at all in the way of fruits. Just the occasional cereal type vape. I have all these strawberry variants just sitting on the shelf. I prefer bakery and custards (obviously), and have used FA clove on occasion in mixes, though it's been a while.

@wildgypsy70 your suggestion seems to have support, eh? Next question, how badly did we hijack this thread from its customary purpose? Does there need to be a separate "development" thread?
That’s what I was thinking. No one seems to have minded the potential “hijacking” of the thread. I guess if we keep doing this(clone or other recipe development), should we start a new thread? Any input? Or do we keep it here? I definitely wanna keep doing the extensive development, but as we’ve seen, it can take days/weeks and can take up a lot of the thread. Thoughts, anyone??

Here's one that I put together but never tried that's a fruit, but not like your normal blue/razz, straw/cream, etc.

Autumn (Spiced Cider) #1

4.00% Apple, Fuji (FA)
0.50% Bergamot (FA)
0.50% Brown Sugar (TPA)
0.50% Cinnamon Ceylon (FA)
0.25% Clove (FA)
0.50% Ginger (FW)
0.25% Holiday Spice (TPA)

Flavor total: 7.5%

I have a first attempt at an Italian Creme Cake juice stored over at ELR. Going to review it tomorrow, but perhaps it's a good candidate for our next collaborative effort?

Anyone here familiar with Italian Creme Cake? It's my favorite cake, mother in law used to make them occasionally, unbelievably rich and wonderful.

Here's what I have so far:

Brown Sugar (TFA) 0.5%
Coconut Extra (TPA) 2%
Cheesecake Graham Crust (TFA) 1.5%
Cream Cheese Icing (LA) 3%
DX Vanilla Cupcake (TPA) 3%
French Vanilla Deluxe (TFA) 1.5%
Marshmallow (DIY) 0.5%
Meringue (TPA) 0.5%
Nonna's Cake (FA) 0.75%
Pecan (TPA) 0.75%
Reindeer Poop FW in 50/50 1.25%
Sugar Cookie V1 (CAP) 1%

Total flavor 16.25%

ETA: .Changing sweetener 1% to DIY Marshmallow 0.5% and TFA Brown Sugar 0.5%, adding 0.6% VW Graham Cracker.
ETA2: Adding 1.5% TFA French Vanilla Deluxe, reducing Vanilla Cupcake to 3% from 4%, changing 0.6% VW Graham Cracker to 1.5% TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust, reducing LA Cream Cheese icing
from 4% to 3%
ETA3: Add Reindeer Poop for acetyl pyrazine

As I’m heading to bed, no cake juice in hand(I need a break), I’m thinking about v6 of Nilla Cake. I’ve got JF yellow cake coming as well as FW buttercream. Still trying to get closer.....I think I’m trying too hard. I think it’s really more simple than I’m trying to make it. I just haven’t found the right combo. I’ll post v6 tomorrow...when I get the percentages written down. Good night, mixers.....:blowkiss:

If a person likes cream cheese icing, coconut, and nuts, you really can't get much better than this, at least in my estimation.

The only place I ever had ICC, besides my MIL's house, was at Clary's Diner in Savannah. They made it homemade there, and it was just like I remembered. Oh and I managed to talk a coworker, who is really good at cakes, into making one for me for my birthday one year.

Trisha Yearwood has a recipe for it out on the net, and it sounds right - whipped egg whites folded into a homemade cake batter, coconut and nuts in the batter and on top of the icing. It's just outrageous.

I've tweaked the recipe and now added a flavor that I don't have on hand - the TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust. Just ordered it, so will wait on it before I mix this.

It's for more experienced mixers than me to try to create that icing from scratch! Carry on, though, if the spirit moves ya! :p

Not to deviate, but my wandering eye for juices got the better of me this morning and I had to venture into something else. Threw together a bottle of a Flavorah tobacco concoction-y awesomeness that is treating me well.

4% FVH Red Burley
0.25% FVH Wood Spice
1 drop per 10ml FVH Smooth Vanilla

And I'm tickled because I may have found a use for that dang, overly hyped, overly expensive - yet oddly underwhelming on the profile - Smooth Vanilla. Both it and the Wood Spice are "oops, that was one drop too much, throw it away" flavors - but small doses here work well to, erm, "class" up the Red Burley - a staple FVH tobacco IMHO.

It's decent. (and 12mg nic, so I should be doing well through the day)

Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming.

I've never heard of this before. I've probably just glanced over them if I ever did see it. Historically, I've been partial to plain cakes and frost. But I love carot cakes and such with nuts on them recently.
A visual for anybody that isn't familiar with Italian Cream Cake-

I've never vaped a tobacco flavor. I wonder if I'd like it. Does it taste like swishers?

That's tough to say, because they can vary. And they can vary wildly.

Red Burley is a little on the gruff tasting side, it's got a strong upfront... hard to explain, kind of a 'grit' taste to it. It's not a "room clearer" flavor, that'll stink up the block or anything, but it's got kind of a woodsy, maybe grassy kind of taste.

But then you've got sweet, almost candy-like sweetness tobaccos - Desert Ship by FA or Turkish Tobacco by Flavorah (they taste roughly the same) come to mind.

Then you've got your "room clearer" vapes. I'm a fan, my wife is absolutely 100% not. Ones like FlavorWest's Honey Oat Tobacco, tastes awesomely strong and punchy, very much like the name states, with a touch of sweetness - but everyone in a five-block radius of you is going to go "oh, uhh, hmm... outside, maybe, please?"

Then there's the very, very subtle ones like FlavorWest's Coumarin Pipe Tobacco, INW Vanilla for Pipe (which is my numero uno favorite at the top of the list, but it's (I think) being discontinued, so I'm using it sparingly these days).

Then there's the NETs (naturally extracted tobacco flavorings), and that's a whole 'nother ball game.

And then the additives, like FA Oakwood, FVH Oak Barrel, Tobacco Absolute, that kind of stuff that can add a twist, a punch, a karate chop to an otherwise staple flavor that you've become accustomed to.

I dig the spectrum of synthetic tobaccos. A lot of folks out there hate em. Only way to know is to give one of them a sniffer test and see if it's something you'd enjoy putting in your lungs over and over and over again. I'd say, though, don't let one taint your opinion of all of them, they're quite varied and different from each other.

If you wanted my personal recommendation, I'd start out with Flavorah's Cured Tobacco. It's about the best synth-tobacco I've ever tasted. @ 4%.

Ones like FA Cigar Passion, Shade tobacco, Perique, again all very different from each other, kind of in fields of their own to be honest. Perique is a fave of mine, it's a high-note, peppery kind of tobacco.

Yeah, hard to recommend certain ones, because they're very subjectively favored or hated.

Also, I can get really wordy about the whole thing. Obviously. :D

I think it serves as an advantage, especially when collaborating. You’ll have a different take on things than I would....my thing is Bakery, custards and anything Strawberry. I don’t do beverages and not a lot on spices...though I do love a good cinnamon!
