Hey guys, aint posted in ages and this has been my trusty, go-to place, for good info, so back i am!

Currently using a TFV8 Baby beast coupled with a Sigelei 75w mod. My mod is basically fucked now, the magnets that hold the side doors on have gone missing so the sides fall off and all the chrome has turned to mush.

As for the TFV8, ive tried all different coils but recently ive just been getting a really muted plain taste. Tried the double coils as that was recommended by my local vape shop, but they was just worse, plus they dont have the airflow that the 0.4 single coils have. Ive also come to really dislike the top filling option on the TFV8, yeah its handy to drop liquid in, but that white rubber seal is an absolute nightmare. such a poor design.

SO! Upgrade time. I had a poke around the vape shop but tbh i didnt wanna jump straight in and buy something i knew nothing about. After recommendations for a new complete tank setup and a new box mod to go with it. I dont mind if its not the same brand aslong as they look decent together. I prefer to buy premade coils, as i cannot be bothered messing around with doing my own coils n wicks, id rather pay £2.50 n be done for a couple of weeks.

I generally vape at around 50W, i like sweet, fruity liquids and both the mod and tank need to be pretty durable as i work in car body work and its with me all day. I have up to £100 to spend.

Cheers all!

Welcome back FM. Might check some reputable on-line resellers like 3fvape or smokstore for kits. A nice mod I have been using is the GTRS V-Boy. Nice screen with an easy to use YiHi chipset. For tanks, a lot of good ones out there. Smok Prince, and Horizontech Arco 2 or Falcon tanks with the flax paper or mesh coils have been really raising the bar on flavor and vapor production. Good luck, and let us know what you end up with.

If I were to get another tank I'd look at one of the prince tanks. Unfortunately I have no recommendations for mods. I want a cylon if that's any help lol

Cheers for replies. Just reading reviews on the Smok tfv12 prince, loads of people saying the coils are still bad, weak flavour, leaks etc. Think i wanna get away from Smok this time around.

Just looking at the Freemax Fireluke Mesh, any good?

I disagree with the reviews you have been reading. I own 2 TFV12 Prince tanks. On one I use drop in coils and the other I use the RBA and build my own coils. I have never had a problem with the flavor, except when I jacked the wattage up too high and burned the coil. I get awesome flavor out of my Prince tanks. I also own a Cloud Beast that also does good on flavor. I guess from what I have heard it is luck of the draw with Smok. Well I must be one lucky guy, because everything Smok I have bought has been good

My Smok TFV8 was amazing the first few months, but i cant remember the last time i had a great vape from it tbh. Easily over 10 coils ive bought and not once have i thought, ahh this is such a good tank. The coils work themselves loose and attach to the inside chimney, the white rubber seal on top pops out everytime you fill it and everytime i take a hit off mine now i have to unscrew it and rescrew it back down to prime the wicks of the coils and allow the air bubbles to release. Its a complete pain in the arse :\

I've never had a tfv8, so I can't say anything good or bad about it. Based on what you are saying, I will be less likely to purchase one. Sorry to hear you have had the bas experience with the tfv8.

Supposedly, Smok will have mesh and strip coils available for all the tanks in the "tfv" line in June sometime. The original Tvf8 Cloud Beast is still one of the best high-wattage sub ohm tanks out there, imo. I still use Baby and Big Baby tanks with the T-8 coils, and there are really nice RBA decks available for all of the Beast tanks. Cant go wrong with either the Tfv12 Prince, Arco/Falcon, Valyrian, Fireluke or Cascade tanks. Always get the best coils you can afford to go with them.

I wonder how far back Smok will go for the mesh? Wishful thinking on Cloud Beast? Tfv4 would be a lot to ask, 2015 design.

If the OP doesn't want to go much over 50w, I'd say Fireluke Mesh, or maybe even more so- Crown 3 with 0.4 coils.

Others might like original Cleito or Super Tank Mini.

For my tfv8 babies, I have one with a prince baby mesh coil, and another with new T12.....that lights up but vapes a lot like the T8. These new coils do seem to last longer and have B+ flavor.

My Fireluke Mesh has better flavor and clouds, but I still have 2-3 babies that I enjoy keeping in use.

Not been so lucky with Smok mods. But there are so many good alternatives that it would be a topic for another day.

I got a friend of my this couple of months ago and she absolutly loves it. It's well built, excellent form factor, changing coils is so simple and it's a great performer.

I recommend it for a regulated Mod kit

I second this, Prince tanks give great flavor and a good vape. It's one of the better ones out there right now. My first coil (Q4) has lasted a very long time.

Yes, but you probably want to put it on a dual battery mod. It does best between 65-75W. It's a different kind of vape. Great flavor but the cloud isn't that big.

They make newer coils for the baby prince. Some with different wire configurations, some mesh, and some with lights. They are supposed to be compatible with the baby beast tanks. The newer coils might breath new life into your tank. The bigger Prince coils are awesome. I'd think the newer baby prince coils would be too. But I haven't tried any yet.
