XXXL 810 Drip tip??

Hey all

Hope this lands in right forum but I’m struggling to find a super large 810 fir my DeathTrap 30mm RDA. The one it ships with is perfect but had the switch stick (twice now :/ ) on my Cthulhu series mech and burn out and completely melt the driptip (and my second biggest one from the Goon 1.5)

Original driptip probably around 24mm overall and anything smaller just looks kinda funny and doesn’t feel right.

Welcome to VU. That sounds sketchy as hell for an autofire situation that melted down a drip tip. it begs a couple of other questions beside drip tip.
1. Have you addressed the auto fire situation and confirmed its fixed?
2. Have you verified none of the other insulators in the death trap are damaged?

Issue was a dint on the brass button. It’s not fixed yet. Contacted supplier to see if I can get new parts (bit of a stretch) - worst case I have a clone hanged ordered in (use same button) I will wait and see how close the threading is.

I’ve cleaned up deathtrap itself and insulators look ok. I’ll throw a build on it and put it on a reg mod fit a bit of a work out. Thanks didn’t really consider that step

It would be wise to completely disassemble and eye everything with an eye of scrutiny. When you build it up watch for fluttering in numbers, and anything acting suspicious. Do hope it works out and isn't a waste. eBay is a pretty good place to scoop up drip tips.

Not sure if you'd be willing to overpay and also receive some useless parts, but the biggest damn drip tip I've ever seen came with a short bubble tank kit I got for my Sherman. It's pricey for what it is though, $40 IIRC.

I doubt that'll interest you, but it felt worth mentioning. Also, in my experience It's hard to get a good feel for the size of a drip tip just by looking at pictures. Your best bet would probably be to just order several from different places. If you can stand the wait, fasttech has a shit load of 'em.

Thanks guys. Got a few already coming in from Fasttech but struggling to find one big enough for the 30mm beast. Smaller ones both look dicky and just don’t feel right. The one that ships with the Death trap has a 16.5mm bore on it. It’s massive!

Don’t think anything hellvape produced have a driptip that large. I’ve contacted Deathwish‘s main supplier (carrack) but not holding huge hopes as the 30mm has been discontinued.

My mistake. I was thinking Hellvape made the Death trap.

And it seems this story does indeed have a happy ending. Contacted the head of Carrack Vape over in Canada direct thru Facebook. Dudes sending me over a new switch and even found one of the Hells Gate XXL Drip tips and sending them over.

Awesome company and great guy to deal with too. Happy days
