Best SMOK TFV8 X-Baby coil recommendation for MTL vaping

Hi all,

First of all, I am new here, just signed up, looking forward to this awesome vaping forum. :)

I quit smoking 1.5 years ago and have used a SMOK R80 kit with one of the higher ohm MTL coils,
and recently I decided to switch to a newer system as it's obsoleted and quite leaky...
I'm tired of having drops of juice slide down my mod's buttons and constantly having to wipe it clean with a cloth.

After some research,
I bought a SMOK G-Priv 2 kit, and am very happy with my purchase, great quality, awesome LCD screen.
I'm using the included TFV8 X-Baby (the 2nd revision of the TFV8, which also uses newer type coils)
It's awesome as it's intake airholes are ontop and as a result no leaks ;)

I have used the included Q2 0.4ohm and M2 0.25ohm coils, which are mainly for direct-to-lung, but also capable of mouth-to-lung if you make the air intake holes small to restrict the airflow more.

I am going to order a large number of replacement coils to last me a few months,
and would like to ask if someone can recommend me the best coil of the 5 different types which are available for the best mouth-to-lung experience.

Here are the 5 types available for the X-Baby from the SMOK site:

- Q2 (0.4ohm Dual coils, 40-70W)
- M2 (0.25ohm Dual coils)
- T6 (0.2ohm Sextuple coils, 40-110W)
- X4 Core (0.13ohm quadruple coils, 30-70W)
- RBA (0.35ohm dual coils) ---NOT INTERESTED IN RBA COIL---

I'm not interested in the RBA coil as I just want a quick pre-made replacement coil...

I have only tried the first one (Q2, included in kit) and it's good for both direct-to-lung and mouth-to-lung, but for the latter there's not much smoke and flavour produced compared to my old MTL atomizer...

What should I buy ???
Your recommendations and any additional information is highly appreciated ;)

Thanks,
Radiance

Welcome to VU....:vino:

I believe you bought the wrong atomizer for MTL vaping....those smok tanks are for cloud chucking.

Yeah i know, it's not primarily a MTL tank, it came with the mod in a complete kit, but it's useable as an MTL tank and works okay (not perfect) with the included coil (the Q2) if you restrict the air intake.

Just wanted to ask if any of the other coils available are better for MTL vaping...

Thanks,

I don't believe there are any factory coils for that....you'd have to make your own.

Sure, but I'm really not into making my own coils, at least for now...

Anyways, MTL works okay with the Q2 coil that came included in the kit.

Let me rephrase my question:
I just want to ask if any one of the other 3 types of coils I listed are better than the Q2 for MTL.
eg, which one would give me more vapour and flavour at low air intake...

Thanks ;)

Sorry, no....

You should watch a few youtube videos and save a ton of money not buying those junk smok coils

Agreed. Maybe I will go the rebuildable way in the future, or buy a different MTL tank.

But at the moment i've got a working vape and just want to know which coils to order before the 2 coils included with my kit are used up,
so i can keep on vaping ;)

I am new to this and I have no idea how the whole ohm thing works... what makes more vapour at lower temps, a higher or lower ohm ?

Thanks,
Radiance

You won't be using them long....I'd get buying asap if you want to keep vaping.

There are a shitload of atomizers available MUCH better than the smok tanks.

Post a question in the RTA section, you'll have all kinds of good choices tossed your way.

Okay, will get buying asap;) So which of the 4 different coil types I listed in my first post would make the most vapour/flavour on a lower wattage and less airflow?
The one you mentioned, Q-2

Welcome @radiance32 and I hope you enjoy your stay~!

With my Baby Beasts I tried the X4 coils 1st and loved them but they were out of stock when I needed to restock so I tried the Q2 and the T8's. Now back to the X4 because they are the best in my humble opinion. Personal preference and all that you must remember. Good Luck~!
