Smok X-Priv pros and cons

Thinking about picking up a smok x-priv online. Before i buy just wanted to see what pros and cons you can share before making a decision. Thanks!

The kit, or mod only?

I’ve got one recently but haven’t started to even use it.
The tank looks pretty cool with a latched swivel top while the mod has a large screen - bright & simple to read.

I did notice that the bubble glass (7ml) was chipped when I opened it. That’s the glass that was preinstalled while the 5ml straight glass looks to be intact. Not a huge deal.

I haven’t broke it in yet cause I’m so used to my Revenger X.

I shy away from smok because they basically have been using the same circuit board for years and it's in all the different wrappers they can come up with to make it visually appealing to the masses. x priv has a nicer screen than some of their previous models, but it's ran by basically the same board as many other smok mods. smok quality control is very lacking, poor actually, and customer support is non existent. Some may say they love their smok, or have had it for umpteen years. But facts are facts.

Their coils are hit and miss if they are going to work, for the same reason(s).

I'd be more inclined to go with proven reliability.

I'm done buying Smok. I got a Voopoo drag I'd buy a second one.

NO MORE Smok for me either.
Mods are the biggest POS I have ever owned.

I don't know 'bout the x-priv, but I do have general pros n cons for smok.

Pros: They're easy to get ahold of.

Cons: Cheaply made and overpriced. Many people experience problems within days or even hours after buying. Customer support is awful, even by Chinese standards. Packs of coils are pretty bad, where most packs you may get 1 bad coil, with smok the inverse seems to be true.

Now all of this may not be true for you if you do buy it, I would personally look for something else, but that's just my opinion.

Don't listen to most of the people above. They shit on Smok any chance they can get. I actually have the kit you're talking about. Ive been using an Xpriv kit for a couple of months now. The mod is solid, it works good. The Prince tank is awesome. I'm still on my first coil and its still working great. I'm on puff #1147 and I take 4-5 second drags.

Pros-
Big easy to see screen.
It has performed flawlessly for me.
Great tank with a bunch of coil options.

Cons-
If you get a mirrored finish it is a finger print magnet.
Prince seems to leak juice on the first fill for everyone. After that the tank is awesome.

A Smok mod is something I'd get from a trusted vape shop that knows me, with the understanding that they are comfortable replacing it or giving store credit if there are issues.

I got an Alien that way. They got too many and had them on clearance. They replaced mine twice, but third one had been good for about 5 months.

Have 2 stick v8's. The larger one with big baby has stopped firing. Have an older Koopor Plus, just too many issues not reading resistance right or not firing cleanly after awhile, so I retired it.

Instead of the X-Priv, maybe Revenger, or any of the Smoant or VooPoo devices. Or even the Ravage 230 and similar Espion. Asmodus is usually good, costs a little more, but they are not cookie cutter.

I have had nothing but good experiences with my Smok gear, mods and tanks. The XPriv is one of Smoks nicer devices, and I think you would be happy with it. You might check youtube for reviews on the XPriv.
