Yep, going to finish it off tonight. Really good. I have to go get a rental car again :( Neighbor backed out of his driveway, right into hubby (in my van). Cops, tow truck, aid rig, whole thing. Hubby just had his pacemaker replaced and he hit the steering wheel with his chest  At least he has insurance! We'll see how good it is, Safeway insurance? Cross your fingers. Hugs to all!

Damn! I hope everything turns out OK. Dinnertime needs to create an oreo cake & ice cream juice recipe...or maybe someone already has. That sounds good!

I know... 3 days in a row with no posts in between. Seems the online community is rapidly disappearing.
Yeah, I know I've been intermittently absent. It's just so crazy these days. I have a week long training I'm going for starting Monday in hopes of getting a new job when one becomes available, I'm finishing an ungodly amount of projects around the house in hopes of refinancing, & work has been ridiculously crazy. But I am still around.

Oh, poo. Was laid up in bed for days! REALLY Bad back. Hubby pulled his out too. Fun week here at the shack. None of us could stand up more than 10 minutes at a time. Forget about bending at ANY angle. But, the pure rest, as much as we hate it's, paying off.
I know the pain... I've had 2 surgeries on my back... and it's currently in spasms in a new spot o_O

Hi, everyone! Good luck on the job, voicenyerhed! The rest of you guys, hope you are getting better, pain is no fun at all.
Doing ok here for now. Hear tomorrow about my poor, abused van. We hope to buy it back from insurance co. and repair it. Hubby is doing better, too.
Stuff just needs to calm down, right? Hugs!

I feel for you guys. I had surgery years back because mine got so bad, but it only made mine worse, unfortunately. Hope you guys are feeling well again soon!

Sorry to hear that. :( I hear these horror stories all the time. My brother is actually going through this right now... he had a 3 disk fusion (which I told him not to do!) and it doesn't seem to have helped him at all.

Damn! Are you taking something for the spasms? I've got Tizanidine. It says take 1 pill ea 8hrs. Hell, 1 pill knocks me out cold for 2hrs. I can function on a half and it helps to a degree. I had to have the nerves on both sides of my L4 region cauterized. I could hardly walk before that.

As of yesterday, the pain was in my right butt then worked it's way upward again (spent top much time in this chair). OD office finally sent the referral for the MRI. They were supposed to do that LAST Monday. I was in so much misery I kept forgetting to call them about it.

I hope you get that checked out before it gets worse, Pami. But you already know that.

My surgeries were L1-2/2-3/3-4/4-5... what's happening now is up around the T7-10. I know for sure it's another disc, I'm all too familiar with that pain. Right now I'm just taking Advil... anyone who has ever had nerve pain knows, no amount of pain killers will help.

My pain goes down rather than up. My surgery was for my L5/S1. Right now it is shooting from my lower back to the tips of my toes. And you're totally right about the pain meds. The only thing they ever did for me was nearly ruin my life. Now, every time a Dr or dentist want to prescribe them to me it turns into an argument because I refuse to use them for anything. Even when I was writhing in pain from meningitis I refused for 2 days, then I finally caved on the condition it wasn't a -codone. Doctors can be worse than crack dealers sometimes.

OH, Pami.
You've been through hell! I can't even imagine! I cannot even fathom the years of back pain you've endured. And it's working its way up? All the years that have been taken from your quality of life. My L4/L5 pain pales in comparison to yours. I'm going to look up your pain areas. I'm curious. I completely agree with you on pain management.

Thurs. the 12th I slightly bent over to get something & BOOM! It was like a bomb went off in my back and every nerve lit up. It hurt to breathe, I couldn't move and my legs were giving out. Thank God Chuck was home. July last year I was approved as a "candidate" for minimally invasive surgery by North American Spine. Get this - I received a $50 check 2 months later from them that basically said, "Thank you for being our Guinea Pig".

Yeah... it's been rough, but I try my best not to let it define me. I was diagnosed with DDD (Degenerative Disc Disease) at 19. It doesn't help that I'm extremely overweight either! Thank God hubby has a good job and I can work part time from home.

Sounds like me when a disc goes out. Usually the only thing that helps me is literally doing nothing. No lifting, bending, cooking, sweeping... nothing for several days. At it's worst I was bed ridden for 2 months. That was right before my 2nd surgery.
