Mod display data incorrect?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, first time here.. =)

Recently upgraded from a simple Aspire CF sub ohm and Nautilus tank to a Smoke Alien 220w and Baby Beast kit. From what I can tell it is performing well, vapor density wise, compared to the Aspire stick that is. However much of the screen data doesn't appear accurate.

Testing batteries with a multimeter at full charge shows both at around 4.2v.. The Alien always reads at 3v or less. Also I switched to the quad coil atomizer that was included in the kit, I understand it's supposed to be .15ohm, but display reads .405 ohm..I can't recall what the ohm reading was for the pre installed coil. The Amp reading bounces from as low as 7 to as high as 28 seemingly at random.

Am I missing some setup steps or anything? I followed the manual and Googled a bit, but couldn't come up with much related to my specific issue. Seller has been slow to respond.

As a side note, even with full charge and ramp mode set to high, it takes over 2 full seconds of firing before it starts producing decent vapor and coils making noise. Watt setting seems to have little effect on this delay. Is this normal? My Aspire stick is always making noise, coils simmering ready to go in literally a split second.

Sorry for the wall of text, very much appreciate any help or insight. Thanks!

First of all, WELCOME TO THE UNDERGROUND!

Just like you can get a bad batch of replacement heads, you can get a bad batch of mods.

A mod that I am testing at the moment always show's + 0.02 resistance.

And since that is a constant, I can live with that.

In your case, you seem to have a defective device all the way around so you should return it.

The difference is.. You are entirely at the mercy of what yer MOD believes true. This is at least the 5th time I've heard of SMOK issues. And several on the Alien. That said, I'll tell you what my buddy in vaping S&R has told me: SMOK atty are rarely an issue, but their mods have the highest RMA of all they ship to 1000's of stores.

Thanks for the fast replies guys and appreciate the honesty. So none of this behavior is normal with these mods? It is definitely a bummer, I tried to research quite a bit and most reviews were positive and it made a lot of "best of" lists so I figured it was a safe bet. The ebay seller is horrible at useful and timely communication and sloooow shipping, so I'm dreading the exchange process and delays..
Do you think the mod will still function normally, despite the incorrect readings or will this also degrade its performance?

Why are they getting all these great reviews and high praise from mainstream sources? Probably they are buying it by throwing free equipment at them?
