I hate that, had that issue on a mild scale just here recently while testing a lot of new flavors. Sometimes I think it's "olfactory overload." I've heard that vaping a cinnamon or mint type juice helps reset the senses. I've also read that smelling coffee beans will help. Personally, I have better luck eating something like dill pickles or a pickled giardiniera, banana peppers, something along those lines. I've also heard of folks who just stopped vaping for a day or few, but I've never been able to do that. ;)
I agree eating something vinegar/salt based helps or even a very diluted vinegar rinse. Also try sticking to something out of the normal and simple for a day instead of not vaping. Sounds like you like bakeries, cereals and the like (just like everyone else lol) so maybe try a fruity/minty/ menthol(maybe) combo for the day.
Funny everyone's talking about Jack because I use that and watermalone to "reset" my pallet when recipes start tasting off. Now a days I just try to vape those throughout the day once and awhile and that seems to help me not get vapors tounge.

Got my flavors ready to mix Bienenstich off ELR. A long recipe and I’m missing one flavor(which I promptly ordered along with a few others). It’s a German dessert with almondy, caramelly, custardy goodness. Chef’s has a one shot they’re releasing soon and the people that have testers have been raving. This isn’t the recipe they’re using(as far as I know), but imma gonna go for it, anyway. I’ll let you all know ASAP.:D

I was not impressed with that shisha strawberry, not as much as I thought I'd be. It's alright, pretty mild IMO, but I guess I'm spoiled by the Inawera variety. The shisha raspberry is awesome though.
I found that Shisha Strawberry sucked until it steeps for a month MINIMUM. But then it is pretty good. I just hate waiting that long.

Pic from my last mixing session this weekend of 5 x 100ml batches:

I should be good for a while...

but I am already working on more recipes.

Top shelf on the tri level stand is everything being vaped. Far right on the top shelf is ~1.3 liters steeping. Bottom shelf left is random older recipes and 2 x 500ml of emergency stash testers mixed together, and bottom right is the last of my non-RF concentrates... 60+ RF concentrates in the mini-fridge are not pictured, just ordered a handful more of 50ml RF bottles and working on my next order of new and replacement RF concentrates.

Mixed up 50ml of Crom's Custard for myself today. Need to stop mixing for myself for a while so I can use up some of what I already have. His custard is nice because it tastes great and doesn't have to steep for long.

Odd I don't find that the case but hence why taste is so subjective and unique to everyone :) it is strong though and I can't ever use it above 2%.

Surprised it didn't fade after a month so that's good! What % you try it at? Maybe you just aren't a fan of the "seedyness" of it? I know a few people who don't like it either.

I like it best with FA Juicy Strawberry, never on its own though..

I mix it at 3% & I also mix it with FA Juicy Strawberry. As a shake & vape it tastes stale to me & the staleness doesn't seem to go away until a month of steeping. But after it properly steeps I love it. Yeah, the whole subjective taste thing is funny & seems to be more so with strawberry flavors from my experience. I am also one of those people that love strawberry but have a hell of a difficult time finding recipes where I can taste it.

I think I have just discovered this morning that this is also the case with TFA Maraschino Cherry. About three weeks ago I mixed up a Spumoni recipe of my own. After a week it was just bad. I thought I was going to have to toss it. Decided to be patient, and guess what? It's actually pretty good now that it has steeped for all that time. The cherry lost its chemical taste and the pistachio woke up. Chocolate is in the background, where it belongs. A keeper, possibly.

I am not a fan of fruity flavors. I've come up with quite a few fruitless flavors but I have done a few fruity flavors for others. I am now working on tobacco flavors. I never liked a tobacco and avoided them like crazy. I did finally find one tobacco flavor that I fell in love with. Then the company closed. Now I'm trying to make a similar one.

The only sub I made with the buttermilk pie was Jungle Flavors yellow cake for FW, as it's much kinder to my coils and I just like the taste better.

I watched a Noted podcast on Cakes. In the Yellow Cake category, JF faired well and if I remember correctly the best out of CAP and FW. So happens I have JF in my stash :)

I was getting very low on Cigar juice and mixed up 400 mls.

Also
30 mls Coconut (1.9& FLV Sweet Coconut with 1% FA Coconut)
30 mls FLV Wild Melon

I recently got a small flavor order from BCF. In one of the bags they pack flavors in were FW Blood Orange and FLV Kinako Soy. Only those 2 flavors. Other bags had 3-5 flavors in them. I saw this as a "sign" and mixed those 2 flavors together. (FLV Kinako Soy .8% with 5.5% FW Blood Orange)
The Kinako was the first FLV flavor I've bought sporting their newish cap....I really like it.

Felt like basically spinning the roulette wheel on ELR and clicking “What can I make” and then sorted by highest ratings and picked some out and mixed them up.
Haven’t tried any yet, but these are what I mixed up:

If you have not tried any yet, why are the orange capped bottles at differed liquid levels? Are you not making them all 10 mls?

Even though I adapt all the recipes to 80/20, some of these didn’t say to add any extra PG to the mix, not to mention I’m not the most steady hand in the world.

I have them both.....27 fish is a pretty standard/good Swedish fish. DIY or die has a recipe using it. Haven’t used the bears yet, but I’ve heard good things.....a good gummy bear base.

Yeah, the cinnamon strawberry milk is definitely what caught my eye and am looking forward to, though the 2-4 week steep time is hard for me to wait for, lol.

Exciting mixing day today. 12ml of an Orange Creamsicle tester. Yippee! (It actually is a milestone, since I haven't been able to get myself to settle down enough to mix any testers until now. TFA Maraschino Cherry has taught me a lesson.) ;)

Just tried the Glass Apple out and if a chilled Green Apple Jolly Rancher is your cup of tea, it’s perfect for you.

That recipe taught me I dont like Koolada that high.

Same lesson learned here...at first it’s not bad just as a mouthfeel type of thing, but the lingering chill factor on my lips and gums is annoying as hell and feels weird.

Tried out the Leprechaun Dairy I mixed up earlier...it was a very simple and straight forward recipe, but just seemed to be lacking something (granted Lucky Charms cereal isn’t exactly busting at the seems with flavor to begin with), so I tried altering it...and though there was a definite improvement, it still feels like it’s missing something but I can’t quite put my finger on it.
I took this recipe
b3846b5f68308fcd38808039dee20ba9.jpg

And turned it into this
418c5c125634afaa2336ed66b6777e24.jpg

So, I guess I’m looking for a little help on something I could add or subtract or alter to maybe bring some more sharp flavors into the mix to brighten it up, but not take over the flavor profile completely.
Not necessarily trying to make a perfect clone of the cereal, so, any ideas would be welcome-even if it takes it in a bit of a different direction than trying to make a 1:1 clone of the cereal.

Could try adding a little more cereal types to it in small amounts to try to enhance the lucky leprechaun mix,

Keep the Meringue an dairy milks creams but these could add to the Cereal flavour notes ,
these are some other cereal Flavour notes i sometimes use. In other mixes there are more but dont own the others,

Berry crunch
Fa Breakfast cereal
Fw crunch fruit cereal
Or even some inw biscuit,
Or cereal 27 by capella,
Capt Crunch
Tfa Crunch cereal
Fw Crunch cereal mix

Even adding a few drops of Acetly pyrazine,
can add some extra bite its just finding the ones that do best for you,
I sometimes start by making an 100ml batches ,
Then just seperate into 10mls that way i can try other Flavours to the mix an see which ones, enhance or change it to my likings,
Whilst keeping one as standard mix to compare too.

I occasionally mix up a plain Cereal mix. I call
:Just Cereal:

Fruity flakes or Crunch fruit cereal, 5%
Bavarian Cream 2.5%
Hazel nut 1.5%
Sugar cookie or FW cookie 1.5%
Fw Meringue 1%
Acetly pyrazine 1%
Breakfast cereal 0.5-1%

Just gives a nice plain sweetish cereal flavour not overly packed but can be a great base for other cereal juices.
Makes a change to the Fruity loops an fruit circle type cereals

The glass ones are from glassbottleoutlet.com in Florida. I got 2 dozen more arriving today actually. The brown plastic ones are Azlon bottles that I bought 2nd hand from someone on ECF. You can probably find them on Amazon but they cost more than glass bottles.

Yeah, the more I vape this the more it seems like this is a very neutral or background kind of recipe that needs a star player to bring it all together. Thinking I might mix up a few bottles of this to use as a base and try different dominant flavors. A brown sugar or danish cinnamon roll juice could work, or maybe a banana variation...we’ll see!

Almost out of Nilla Cake by Elysian Labs, but can't really justify buying more when I have a CRAPLOAD of flavors, gallons of VG and PG, and enough 100mg nic to last me until about 2035.

So I came up with this. Hopefully it won't be too strong at 18%. Gonna try it as a S&V, then let it steep for a week and try it, then another week of steeping to see how it comes out.

Nilla Bomb Beta v1.0

1.00% Bourbon (Vanilla Bourbon) (FA)
2.00% French Vanilla (CAP)
1.00% Madagascar (Vanilla Classic) (FA)
2.00% Simply Vanilla (CAP)
1.00% Sugar Cookie (CAP)
2.00% Vanilla Cupcake (CAP)
2.00% Vanilla Custard v1 (CAP)
2.00% Vanilla Shisha (INAWERA)
2.00% Vanilla Swirl (TPA)
1.00% Vanilla Tahity (FA)
2.00% Vanilla Whipped Cream (CAP)

Flavor total: 18%
