OSUB 80W TC/VW 18650 Doesn't fit.

My boss had me open his new purchase yesterday - to replace the Pico I gave him that is now suffering a loose 510. The Osub 80w mod by Smok.

Well, it's tiny and pretty - and you can't put an 18650 into it. Period. Neither the freshly rewrapped 25R I had given him, nor the 25R's that were in my Gbox at the time. In all cases, it was too tight to insert more than maybe 1/2-1" of battery.

I've told him to take it back to the B&M, and either pick something else or stand right there and watch the owner open a package and insert AND REMOVE the cells from the mod. I was joking with another guy, but I now wonder if they expected you to buy 16850's - because I just can't envision 2mm too much paint inside the case.

In any event, be aware this situation exists.

Heh.. So, in this chapter: boss got the same thing again - and it had an HG2 inside, but apparently it quit working when I left work.

It now just continually reports "check atomizer" - his, mine, another coworkers - just "check atomizer".

I can understand the pleasure in the tiny size and clean design - but, seriously: the board or connections are just trash.

The saddest part is: I love the teeny-tiny, sturdy look of it. But, goddamn - all these issues and from a local B&M?

I'd give him $5 for it and hope I could find a broken lead/solder-joint.. Nice and pocketable metal body.

If the board actually worked, the menu looks OK.. Small enough to fit in a tiny squonker. ;-)
