Was just gifted this set up. I'm using 60-80W V8 Baby T-8 coils and 50/50 juice. But when I run it at 50 or 60W it's a really hot throat hit for me. If I turn it down to around 35-40W it's better. But that can't be good right? Am I using the wrong coil or the wrong mix of juice?

You are using 50/50 juice so the higher PG is giving you a throat hit. I would suggest trying some e liquid that has higher VG.
Try some 70/30

What SkoldVape said! Not a thing wrong with running a coil at lower wattage than advertised. As long as it doesn't spit raw liquid and fires smooth with no gurgling, your golden. Smok tends to recommend wattages on the high side for their coils anyway. Another thing to consider as well is nicotine content. You don't mention it in your post, but the higher the wattage the heavier the throat hit from a given nic level. So if you are running like 6mg of nice, try dropping it to 3mg. If you aren't using any nicotine, then disregard my last! :wave:
