or does this juice we mix up ourselves actually vape better than bought juice?

My very first mix has finally aged enough and I am loving it. It is 50/50, 12 mg. The taste changed quite a bit so I renamed it to Snickerdoodle ( cinnamon-sugar cookie). It's a definite keeper.

But the thing I notice most about it is how smooth it is, even at 50% pg. The amount of vapor is really good considering I'm vaping it in a Triton Mini with a 1.8 ohm Nautilus coil in it, at 12W.

I think I've been converted.

@ZoeBoy

5% cinnamon
1.5% French vanilla
1% Lemonade
1.5% Graham cracker
0.1% Sweetener

All the flavors I used in this came from VapeWild as part of a "sampler" of 6 flavors for $10.75. Sweetener was separate, $1.49.

It has needed nearly two full weeks' steeping time. The flavor has changed half a dozen times during steeping.

This is a very lightly flavored cinnamon, so if you substitute another brand, you may want to adjust percentages accordingly. The Graham Cracker is surprisingly present for there only being 1.5%.

Yeah that much Flavah or FA cinnamon would burn your lips and throat off - literally

Yeah I cant tell you how many times I have been in a local shop to pick up something I did not want to wait for shipping for or just buy some juice-oddly I still do this every few months. Sometimes for some old favorites or something I want to try and clone... And I get told something like yeah anything with less than 80VG has so much throat hit its not enjoyable to vape I just pretty much chuckle and so oh really I have never had that issue.

One guy even asked me what I was vaping in my mod all I said was it was a mix of melons I had, he wanted to try it so maybe he could use it to make suggestions. He took a huge ripe, and another, and another. Replies I really like this, what nic level was it (cause he could feel it)?. He did not believe me when I told him it was 8mg he said that was impossible. I let him know its salt nic. Asked were I got it from... Oh I mixed it up myself and its 40/60 you would have thought he saw a ghost. Then started to pick my brain on mixing...

Sorry for the long way of saying yes DIY is much better than most store bought juice. Kinda like cooking at home ;)

@ZoeBoy the recipe I shared with you is continuing to change, and I'm not sure it's what you want to even try for a snickerdoodle cookie flavor. Today I am getting a much more muted flavor; at the very least, it needs some sweetener added to it.

Wanted to let you know before you spend money on juice especially for this. It's still a decent vape, but if you specifically want snickerdoodle, I'm afraid that was just a phase this juice was going through. :(

I would recommend @Squonk's Sugar Cookie with a drop or two of FLV-Rich Cinnamon per 15ML.

Yeah... it's a good thing for my lungs that i started DIYing a long time ago, since high-PG juice has vanished -- if I vape more than about 15% VG, I literally cannot breathe at all. My most current mix, this afternoon, is 86.5% PG. That guy in the shop is a complete jackass and total moron.. I had to add Flash for a long time, to get ENOUGH throat hit! I've gotten it down to nearly nothing now, .1%, because it started bothering my nose -- I still love the throat and mouth tingle, but it started feeling like the beginning of a sneeze, in my nose... without a sneeze to relieve the feeling, so I've had to gradually work on eliminating it.

Congratulations @nadalama be thankful your mixes do not Taste Like Butt which another member new to DIY has been dealing with~!

Wonder what combination of flavors one would need to come up with the flavor of "Butt." Hmm, will have to ponder that one for a bit. :giggle:

I have now three flavors that are keepers for me, and a fourth that is good but is really too much like one of the others to stand on its own in my rotation. The one I mixed today didn't taste like anything until I added graham cracker and a bunch of extra vanilla to it, and now it tastes like Graham Cracker Butt. The only thing I can think of for it now, if it doesn't improve with steeping, is to throw some coffee into it to cover up the taste of all that graham cracker.

It's an adventure, most definitely. I am thankful, as you suggested, that some of them are working out. :)
