How long to let the juice saturate?

Hi all, been having an issue lately after i recoil/wick my rta where i predominantly get that nasty burned flavor. How long you all wait AFTER you've done a rebuild to start vaping? I mean just how long do i have to let the juice saturate?

Ive tried single, dual, small diameter and big diameter coils and still i get alot of of that burned taste, or some flavor with a burned after taste even on a new build?

If you soak the coils wick and the tails, then pulse the coil to help with saturize, then repeat till you know everything is fully saturated, there should be no waiting after filling the tank.

personally, I paint my wicks with ejuice right after mounting the coil and new wick, THEN fill the tank. You don't want ejuice oozing out of the wick, but the wick should be good and wet, just not dripping wet. No wait time.

Depends on build and in some cases the device....

My typical builds need about 30 seconds. . Some coil heads I have used need 15 minutes or so to soak up juice..

If i had to guess your using too much power at the start.... if regulated turn down the wattage if non regulated. Use short pulses at startup of new wicks.

If you are getting a bad taste there are a few things you can do.
1. Wash your hand THOUROGHLY.
2. Try wicking a little looser if you are wicking tight, tighter if you are wicking loose.
3. After you have juiced the wick pulse your coils and blow on them. Pulse through 1ml of juice and the flavor should be gone.
4. Make sure none of the wick is touching the outside of the coil. The only place contact should be made with the coil is on the inside of it.

I went to respond and was writing exactly the same thing lol. Glad I read up before posting.

Definitely do those 4 things.

Oil etc on your hands transfers so easily to your wick and a lot of time it'll never come out.

Breaking in your cotton will prevent the crap taste at the beginning.

Making sure the wick isn't too tight or too loose will prevent dry hits down the line.
