When I first started DIY a few years ago now, I jumped straight in and bought some concentrates and mixed randomly with very frustrating results and nearly gave up and went back to vendors juice....then stumbled across this very site and mixed a few popular recipes from here. I remember Rocket Puppys RY4, Golden Oreo Cheesecake. White Coconut Cake and HICs Sugary Almond Apple Tart all inspired me to continue mixing and on to flavour art concentrates.

There were also a couple of recipes by a guy called Sully that I loved, one of which I based my recipe on and it is this one http://vapingunderground.com/threads/jays-caramel-apple.23642/ (I used to mix it 1.5-2x the strength)

As soon as I tried VTA golden syrup I wanted to make a toffee apple and I remember Sullys recipe was pretty close to a toffee apple anyway, its just missed that sticky syrupy flavour that vta brings, the sour candy ball is there to add a bit of a shell and candy to the syrup. Apart from that I have just subbed a couple of the original concentrates and altered the percentages to my liking.

Dang! That's the only flavor I'm lacking.
I guess I can mix it up without it.

Its not a big part of the recipe. I used it quite lightly in this actually, usually use it 3-4%. If you have any neutral hard candy like flavour you could just sub it for that and use it lightly.
