DRIP TIP QUESTION

I posted this where I thought it should go - if not - please move it - Thanks.

OK, I have a question; will the drip tip from a Bonza RDA fit a Drop RDA, and visa-versa??!

Any and all help will be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Any 810 drip tip will work, plus both of them have a 510 adapter, just in case you wanted that as well. But to directly answer the question yes its compatible with the drop and vice versa.

eSTORM, thanks so much for the reply.

One more question please, does the Drop RDA produce as much flavor as the Bonza?

Flavor is subjective, if build correctly both have great flavor. I do however prefer the drop due to its "unique" big build deck, giving me the option to run different coil setups and sizes. I also love the airflow and how much you can personalize it. Drop is one of my go to rda's but that doesn't mean that the bonza sucks, its just not my personal favorite.

At the moment I run quad core fused Clapton as single build, 4.0 mm ID with the upper airflow row closed and the flavor is amazing. would have issues getting these coils into the bonza to be honest lol

It’s subjective, but I prefer the Bonza, the quality and design is really great, it’s easily my highest quality RDA.
The drop just doesn’t feel as impressive.

Aesthetically, the Bonza is a beauty and the drop is a little too “robo cop” for me, looks a little futuristic and lacks that eye appeal, my preference anyway.

My goon V1.5 is my most used rda, don’t know why I love it so, it really doesn’t outperform the Bonza, nor does it have perfect tolerances, super easy build deck, stunning detail, or as good an airflow design, but I do love it and it sees the most use.

I love Vandy vapes RDAs, all have an impressive heft and build, the pulse, mesh, and Bonza have delivered much more enjoyment than any other brand or model of rda I have used except for that goon.

I have an apocalypse V2 and for being very hyped, expensive, and recommended by other vapers, I prefer the Bonza or goon.

Thanks eStorm and fightinggoat for the replies.

I have two Bonza RDAs and my Wife has one also - we do like them a lot - and, fightinggoat, they are more eye-pleasing than the Drop.

But the Bonza does have two problems - (1) The negative post to deck fit is really not that good - the post can become slightly loose - but tightening it before every build is no big problem. (2) Sometimes it is hard to get the Bonza off the Mod, when the juices have run down and really greased up the "O" rings - also changing the air-flow without turning the barrel's air-flow out of alignment with the coils is tough.
That is what caught my eye about the Drop RDA - the lil lug on the deck, it meshing with the barrel makes removing the RDA from the mod and changing the air-flow a breeze - SOOOOOOOOOO, I have one on the way - but I will keep my 'Skull and Cross Bones" Bonza!

eStorm, I do think the Drop RDA does have a bit of an advantage (in flavor) over the Bonza, the air flow - because of the height of the "juice well" on the Bonza, it is impossible to get any kind of bottom air-flow - but if built correctly, it appears that one can get a bit of bottom air-flow on the Drop (at least get the side air-flow hitting the bottom of the coil) - many say that this will add flavor.

fightinggoat, the Goon is tough to beat, or so many say - I don't have one, YET (LOL!).

So now I ask you both (or anyone else, cause I am new to the game, but I learn rather quickly, sometime...LOL!) -;
"What kind of coils, wire, number of wraps, ID, etc., do you guys use for 'Flavor Chasing'??!".

I dont adjust my airflow very often, it’s a set it and forget it thing for me so being tight isn’t much issue for me. Now that apocalypse rda I mentioned, is so tight that adjusting the airflow at all was very difficult, felt like the peices were welded together.

I do agree that the Bonzas juice well is a little too large, as it does block some air from getting under the coil, have to mount the coils pretty high in the deck, but hasn’t really had any negative drawbacks that I have noticed other than making the build deck seem a little tight.

I use stainless steel wire, mostly quad, triple fused Clapton's and/or staggered @ 2.5 - 4.0 ID (depending on Atty of course) with 5-8 wraps, again Atty dependent as well as my mood that week (high watt/low watt and all that bs lol) I also swear by kendo vape cotton gold edition and find for me personally these combinations give me the best results. I do diy most of my juices tho nowadays, therefore my experience might be different from people that vape store bought or high end brands. But flavor is always my nr1 priority, I could care less about extreme clouds, however it just so happen that I get immense clouds as well ;)

fightinggoat, I believe with a few tweaks in construction the Bonza would indeed be the bomb - my Bonza seems to seize up after I vape awhile, put it up, and get it out the next day, it could be the juices sticking the "O-ring" between th ebarrel and air-flow control.

eStorm, we just do some simple coils from Kanthal wire we twist ourselves - I think that the cotton does indeed have an effect on the flavor of the juices - my Wife and I ordered some "Native Wick" cotton, have either of you guys ever tried that particular cotton?

I have not tried native wicks, but have tried most of the common B&M vape cotton brands, including cotton bacon, Vandy Vape cotton rope, wizard wicks, various types of Japanese and organic cotton squares.

I like cotton bacon and wizard wicks quite a bit, but all I use anymore is a big bag of organic cotton balls I got from the grocery store, they are sized perfectly for the coils I build, cheap as can be, taste great, and wick very well.

I honestly prefer the cotton balls to any vape cotton I have tried. I have vape cotton sitting around that I don’t even use since trying cotton balls.

Simple coils are my favorite, no need for fancy coils to get a great vape.

I agree about the coils 100% - now I would like to build a 15 wrap alien, staged with fused Clapton, with an inner coil of Helix wire staged with Unobtainable wire, gold plated, Claptoned with solid Uranium wire (that would be so it would glow in the dark) - but all I would do is look at it - and of course sorta show it off LOL! I think maybe concerning coils, "Less is MORE"!

On those cotton balls, don't you have to boil them or something before you wick with them?

Some say it’s best, some don’t boil.
I don’t and won’t boil mine, flavor is awesome right out of the bag, no chemical or out of the ordinary flavors or smells.

Some people just have way too much worry for no reason. I ingest so much that should kill me on the daily basis (I’m a mechanic), that if I worried about things like that I would go nuts.

LOL! How true! If we actually read all the preservatives that we eat with our foods, we might go a real long fast - LOL! Not to mention our vocation - my Dad was also a mechanic/heavy machine operator, I'll never forget how he smelled when he came home from work, sorta like an old shop rag dipped in diesel fuel - I suppose it never hurt him, he passed away when he was 82!

I will have to try the cotton ball thing sometime - if it worked for me, my wife and I could sure save some money on wicks! Thanks for the tip!
