@Jimi How are you today? I did get a new bank card. I also found out I can set up some mobile alerts though a app. LOL I'm cell phone illeterate so I had them print up instructions. It might take a few days but on the app you can turn off your card so no one can use it and when you want to use it-you just turn on that function. It has a lot of functions related to the app. I'm a medium old phart who needs simple terms to understand things. :) I'll have to go back tomorrow to the bank to file the fraud papers. They said I will get the money back.

Just a heads-up, Sandi... As an added precaution, don't tell anyone you are using that phone application because your phone can be hacked too. If someone else knows your card number and your phone number, they might be able to turn it on and use it. All I am saying is stay cautious in all things financial.

Craig, if you haven't disappeared for the night, come back. There are a couple of us old pharts wandering around the hallways, bumping into things, wondering where we are and who's dogs ate all our biscuits...

Hi Sandi still fighting it, thanks for asking my friend, hope the phone app works out for you and that it goes smoothly at the bank.

Being as sick as you are, don't expect a miracle for about 48 hrs.
If Jimi has the same ... ummmm... "flu" that my wife had, even 48 hours will seem like a miracle. She was in bad shape for two whole weeks. And even though I have Superman's immune system and did not get what she had, I did have a nasty chest congestion for about 10 days. Both of us are OK now, but I had to create and use a lot of capsules (home-stuffed herbs - no, nothing illegal).

Rest is always good when one is sick.

So where are all the biscuit throwers tonight?

Jimi-it took me about 2 weeks to get over what I had. I still don't know if it was the flu but it was the worst shit I have ever experienced in a lifetime. It was worse than having my gallbladder removed.

That is the same thing Lannie (Wifey) said. As a junior in high school, she was out for months with the flu, and she said (even though this didn't last as long) that it felt far worse - the worst she has ever felt.
Don't doubt it...the older we get, the harder it is to shake these illnesses.

Because - typically - our immune systems degrade over time, but I still don't get 99% of the illnesses people all around me have, and I'll be 69 in a couple more days. But maybe that is just because I do not eat junk food...

I'm strictly plant based, NO GMO or junk food...been a couple years since I've had as much as a sneeze.

Additionally....Bought a dehydrator, the recipes are endless, and delicious.

I'm hoping to reverse my auto immune disease though diet and some exercise.
This was the first time I got sick in 7 years. I do consider it a blessing in disguise because it means by body (autoimmune response) is not attacking my liver and I'm presenting normal with external symptoms. I'm feeling like I'm beating it.

This years flu is different, lab made
This is what I have been saying since day one. This is clearly an engineered virus that either escaped the lab or was deliberately introduced to the public. Waaaay too many people are dying from it and the age groups are such that their immune systems should be in prime condition.

I need to get a new one. My old one just isn't up to what needs doing these days. Lannie cans everything from our garden, but I'd like more dehydrated and "long term" foods around here. Canned doesn't seem to last as long.

Funny you mention that. I just suffered a horrible attack of some sort, it was either really bad gas, or gallbladder.... I'm tending to the latter because of the location of the worst of the pain (upper right abdomen) and the fact that it hurt all the way thru to my back. I've had a couple of these, and they always ease off after an hour or so... but I'm guessing the day may come when it doesn't ease off, but maybe gets worse. I just hope I have the 2014 appendectomy paid off before then!
