Love my Gold Kylin v2 on my Smoke Stack Modz box! Best flavor ive got from an RTA, BY FAR! The wicking on the v2 hasnt been finicky at all like with the v1! What a pleasure to build and wick!

I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I cannot get the SMM to wick properly. This is my first rta. I have to constantly loosen the top to get it to wick. Is my juice to Sweet and baking on the coil and burning the wick? The pics are after 12ml or so of juice. I'm using cotton bacon with advanced Vapes 3mm quad core coils on a g2 at 55w. I've cleaned the coil and rewicked 3 times varying the amount of wicking each time. I'm sure I'm doing something couCouwrong.

Could be and looks like you have the holes stuffed with too cotton. You should just have enough to just fill the holes.

SMM got my vote I only have the one RTA but damn I'm lucky to have got a really good one right off the bat. No problems whatsoever..only con is that it's a juice hog. That's probably the case with all RTA's tho. Can't imagine dual coil lol

Same here. It seems as though juice hog goes hand in hand with sub ohming.

2 questions for all you reload owners
1. does it have jfc?
2. how securely is the glass held on when you open it up to get to the deck? the griffin 25 mini is built similarly and that glass will often pop off teh oring and leak for me
No it doesn't have JFC but I don't think you need it honestly and the glass is tight when you take it apart to get to the deck don't worry about it falling off I haven't had it even wiggle a little bit it's pretty secure. It's definitely one of the best RTA's of 2017. I'm not going to say any particular tank is the best because their are a lot of great tanks that are better for certain things like flavor, ease of use ect... All depending on your taste and what your looking for. But you can't go wrong with the reload RTA. GREAT FLAVOR, DECENT CLOUDS. It only had 3.5ml of juice capacity but that's not too bad it's better than 2ml but I think the experience of the tank might be compromised if they changed anything so. I'm ranting I'm gonna stop now I just meant to answer your questions about the glass and if The Reload had JFC and I drifted but anyway point is give it a try you'll be happy. Plus one more thing... You can get the 1:1 Clone all over eBay right now for around $15 to $21 is your would like to try it before spending a lot on the authentic which is USA Made that's one of the main selling point of this RTA.

I agree, with most every rdta, overwicking is likely the problem. You just want enough wick to pull through with minimal resistance, but some. Just a little tug. Another thing....

STOP stuffing wick down in your tanks. Just enough wick to go 2mm down past the hole, and enough just to cover the holes but inside.

I then take what ever tool I'm using, usually a cut zip tie and poke on the outside of each hold down so you got a little air flow kinda like how you need 2 holes in a gas can to make the flow of gas nice and even. Same principle.

Sorry, I know that sounds weird but that's how I explain it.

Serpent SMM here. I also bought one when it was released and it has been the only RTA that a regularly use. It's kinda changed the way I vape too, I now prefer a lot less airflow even in my RDAs lol

Cleaned and Rewicked with kendo gold. Dropped it to 45w, at least I'm seeing smoky air bubbles in the tank after a hit. Ignore my man purse.

That is def too much cotton. I kinda hard the same problem when I first started with the tank as well. I figured out how to properly wick it by using as little cotton as possible. It leaked the first couple times I did this and I slightly increased the size of the wick until I found the sweetspot. You could use that method but at the very least you need to thin those wicks out a lot. Also, I've found that any wick sticking out the bottom of the deck needs to be extremely thin, seriously like a few strands lol.

The Corona RTA or
/ Korina /Kalora RTA ( clones ) are nice 23mm 4ml or 8ml , fits upto 3.5mm dual build
Great airflow , can be shut down or wide open draws enjoying it more than my SC Supremes 25mm /30mm plus ,
Wicks from tank via 4 ss wire ropes , upto deck then cotton to coils , hits hard Flavour is top notch

I am running with a SMM serpent also and I love it!
I make sure my wicks are long enough to reach the bottom of the tank, where the wick are really combed out. This helps with absorption and liquid flow to the coil.

My top are not on the list.
Reload
Churchill
and considering a Sherman

I rank the Reload at the top because I have been using it for months, but the Churchill is right there with it for flavor imo.

btw hated the Ammit.

I voted Kylin for my fav on the list but since i bought the Sherman and the Churchill my Kylin is now 3rd.
I think , and this is tough but the Churchill tops the Sherman ( by a gnats hair ) for flavor in my humble opinion.
Both are awesome and i use both daily.
Now i have to go order a 55 gallon drum of juice to keep those two babies up and running,,,,,;) ;)

My list has changed too. I purchased a couple Scottua The Tank v3's and they top the list for sure. I use them regularly and my other rta's are neglected.

For me, it's the manta so far. There are alot of quality options out there for customers right now. I honestly can't imagine what can be done to offer a better vape experience than what we already have available.

I haven't tried them all either, by a long shot! :)

I just last week got the Medusa Reborn which is more a glorified rda than an rta to me, but whatever. I'm waiting on some good coils for it but in the meantime, I may have to wind up some simple 26g ss316 coils just to try it out. ;)
The coils your winding up are just as good as any other exotic build. I hate this misconception. If used right they are just as good

All of 2017 I vaped the Boreas, so I guess that gets my vote lol.

Recently bought a Reload clone off ebay, and I'm enjoying it thoroughly. Any Reload owners out there really need to grab a bubble tank for it! Fixes the only flaw without adding any cons.

PHARAOH RTA...SO NICE THAT I PUT ALL MY RTA's AND RDA's on a shelf....it takes mastery and compatibility of coils and amount of cottons....Honestly, i am really disappointed with this tank...until i tried a lot of building and wickings...now i got mine perfectly tuned up with..... .32/28 high voltage twisted wire, 3.5mm guide 1 set apart 5/6 rolls, and just medium amount of cotton...it reads 58 ohms and i set to 30w...clouds and flavor is absolutely i am looking for...and save some juice and battery

Single coil: Geekvape Zeus
Dual coil: Reload RTA

I really enjoy the top airflow on the Zeus,
And that will also be the reason for me to buy the dual coil version of in in the appearance of: Digiflavor Themis RTA

The original Scottua is just a great tank, recently rebuilt one and was in love all over again. Would love a V3 but at 250 and all it does is add top filling and afc that is a tough sell, at that price gotta wait for the clone.

I've got a Kayfun Prime that I use via MTL throughout the day. All day, every day. At home, I've got a Zeus that is slowly overtaking the Prime in usage - that's something that no tank has been able to do so far. I absolutely love the Zeus. I fell asleep with my mod in the bed a few nights ago, woke up in the morning and unburied it - not a single drop of juice anywhere. It's one of the best tanks I've ever had.

I hear ya. Imo they are worth the purchase as I feel no buyers remorse from them. With them being sold out atm the second hand market is rrp also. Really I would like to trade one of the V3's for a v2. I typically bottom fill that rta because I can fill it to the brim by bottom filling and with the top fill section missing from the v2 it takes the height down just a hair. They are the only rta's I have been using and I do recommend them, but not religiously like fanboys do. Not sure if there are clones on the horizon but I have heard there is a Scottua 25mm in the works.

Mine are definitely the:
Boreas V2
Wake by Wake Mod Co

I like the Wake slightly more than the Boreas, but I sport the Boreas more because of juice capacity.

Digiflavor Fuji GTA (dual coil) and Mason Dump Tank 30mm for a tie but for different reasons. Neither of them leak, both create very satisfying flavor and clouds and you can chain vape them both until your soul hurts.

The Digiflavor is a daily driver for me and I literally use it every single day when i leave home and have since I bought it, since teh first one I have purchased at least 10 more so I can rotate them. It lets you build close to the post for big coils, handles having the cotton packed in for a leak free seal, creates big thick smoke and doesn't kill the flavor. Only thing I don't like is you have to look at your slimy cotton after a couple days. I have not found a single fault in this one.

The Dump Tank is great because I can build big coils in 20g for a hot vape and the diameter keeps the heat in the middle. If I am stuck on a flavor or want to finish a bottle, just fill this monster up and carry on for a day or so. It creates great flavor, satisfying clouds and just feels good. Its so big if you wear jeans that fit it is noticeable. I use this at home or on long road trips to avoid fill ups. This one has only ever leaked after coming off an airplane (which all of them do).

Casting my vote for, Oh wait it's not there...

Bellus V2, unfortunately their head of Social Media/Advertising recently changed and are doing a horrible job at it, almost nobody knows it was even released.
I've got one and still haven't put a build in yet, I really need to.

I love my authentic Reload, never leaks and has the best flavor I've experienced for a tank of it's type. Then I bought an authentic Kayfun 5, and don't MTL with it. I'd have to say the flavor on the Kayfun 5 is a league of it's own, but also a different beast. Won't get nearly as much vapor production compared to the Reload, but when I'm wanting to test my recipes and just feel like purely vaping for dense flavor, the Kayfun 5 has it IMO.

However the Reload RTA IMO is better than the SMM although I do love the SMM for a single coil option.

I've just recently got back into vaping and I bought the Wismec Sinuous Ravage230. It came with the Gnome tank. You can but a rda deck for it. I love it. Great flavor and huge clouds. For only $50 for the kit I would recommend it to everyone for a backup or even an all day mod.
