Good video I'm glad he's doing this. I like his level headed approach. Thanks for posting it It should be a sticky.

Mooch has a new vid up on his channel.
I consider it another must watch for all vapers, especially those using or interested in using mechs.

As requested we are going to create a new sticky and add moochs vids as he releases them

I’ll keep the thread locked though so it keeps the content clear for people trying to find the right video :)

Will Post the link back in here shortly

No problem the mod team discussed this one and agreed to plonk them up :) mooch might ask to take them down at some point but until he does they are there.

I know some would like to comment but best to keep it clear so it’s easy to find things...we can always use other threads for that ;)

Once there’s a few more in his page might be worth cleaning up (unsticking) some of the other stickies in this sub section I’ll take this to the table once he’s got a few more posted

I got permission from Mooch one time to post his results and such here as long as he got credit for it. He does not have enough time to post stuff everywhere is what he told me.
Plus he will get more subs and become a youtube millionaire! LOL

i love the fact he goes over how using a reg mod is not safe. Then talks about charging in an external charger, but forgets that external chargers suffer the same issues as mods, THEY FAIL. I had a nitecore I4 fail on its reverse polarity protection ad burn up the slot after 2 minutes of a battery being left in there backwards. SO they are safer but they can go wrong too

ahh even Mooch cannot remember everything.
I suspect that he will cover external chargers in a future video.

He is doing great
this is not his specialty
I couldn't imagine myself trying to do something like this.
I think he may be trying to cover too much at once, I personally would break the information up into smaller segments. and refer back to other videos for reference within videos. Because too many people lose interest after 5 minutes in today's world.
But the info he does cover is great, but any of us could nit pick and find things he left out
I commented on his video for him to see that he mentioned PWM mods. PWM mods are mainly custom mods not mass produced. Most mass produced potentionmeter mods are VV. And while Im fairly certain what he said for PWM applies directly to VV, I think he should clarify that

I thought that in the second vid would have liked some other working examples for parralels and focus in a bit more

There are dozens of interrelated topics with every topic I discuss and it will take dozens of videos to cover everything. :)

Nothing we do, nothing we use, is “safe”.

Using a good external charger, IMHO, is safer than charging internal where we can’t easily monitor temperature, voltage, charging status, etc. It’s the lesser of two evils so I recommend using them instead of charging internally.

At a certain point though vapers get tired of hearing how risky everything we do really is and tune out. There is a fine balance between everything that I am always working on. Thanks for your feedback!

I agree with you. as I said in another post, i would find it difficult preparing videos on a subject I am knowledgeable on and having it cover everything for everyone etc, What you are doing is excellent, just trying to point out things to think about for future videos
Please keep up the good work

Has anyone watched the chemistry vid yet? Thoughts?, must admit Ive fell into the trap myself a few times no doubt there are threads about where I’ve said IMR and chemistry in the same sentence

Was an interesting watch For sure! Thanks for the enlightenment @Mooch  ...would you ever consider adding known chemistries against the cells you test? Or in a separate fact sheet somewhere (unless of course this info exists somewhere on your blog already)

He has talked about that trap in a video interview on YouTube once, but I can't remember which one... it could have been the one by Vaping Biker and that was taken down about 7 weeks ago or so. (Some of those interviews I've actually watched 4 or 5 times because that's what was necessary for me to digest everything at the time when I was still a vaping newb.) There's an entry in his blog where he mentioned that trap about "IMR" as well... scroll down to the section titled "Differences in Battery Chemistry Safety" here: https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/b...hat-are-the-differences-in-their-safety.7556/ and there's also this post of his: https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/threads/no-longer-accepting-imr-on-a-battery.804781/ so, thanks to Mooch's continued efforts to educate us all, this whole thing is certainly not new to me... without him, my vaping hobby's future would look pretty grim, even if it's true that Sony has a shill. J/K...
