Hi, I joined yesterday. I am from Australia. I have been vaping since 2012 and I kicked a serious smoking addiction. I have a serious autoimmune disease Scleroderma. I smoked to get through the pain and fatigue since I was eighteen. I was treated like a disgusting piece of filth in the autoimmune society of we are going to die folks. I acquired a second autoimmune disease called graves disease about the time I switched to vaping. It was 2012. I don't have graves disease anymore. I am going to put it out there about nicotine. Maybe that's a clue about why I am still alive? Vaping is much gentler, there's something there with nicotine and autoimmune disease.

So, I need a pav recipe. I am thinking that I need to steep my fresh cream in my nic and vg for a month or two, then add the meringue, strawberries and kiwi fruit?
I am after the great Ozzie pav!

Nicotine is prescribed by doctors sometimes to treat several things including Alzheimers & Depression.
I suppose NIC could trigger other problems in some people though.
Maybe like an allergy type of thing...
It's the other chemicals from smoking tobacco are the really bad ones.
Good though you've gotten rid of your disease anyway.
Even vaping non-nic juice is a good thing if it gets more people off the tobacco merry-go-round.
BTW Welcome to VU and have a Happy New Year.

Welcome to VU

And congratulations on beating you AI diseases and smoking - it's not the nic that increases symptoms of various diseases, its the tar and other added chemicals. Food choices and other environmental contacts play a role also - I have RA and a other such maladies also:cloud:

Thanks everyone. I haven't beaten all just one, graves and I had sjrogens syndrome, but apparently that's gone. I still have scleroderma, but not as bad as most with it. I didn't have any trouble going straight to vaping from the smokes. They are expensive in Australia, and I was paying fifty bucks for a pack of 50. They are probably more now. RA isn't nice, I feel for you, Lucy.
