Howdy From A New DIY'r

First off I just want to say howdy to everybody. I have been lurking and reading and learning. I have been vaping for about 2 years and I came across a video on YouTube for DIY E Juice and I thought I can do that and save me a lot of money. I currently pay about $33 for 150 ml bottle of my juice. After looking at the prices of making it myself it's a no-brainer. But I do have a few questions for you professionals out there.

I currently Vape on 50/50 red hot cinnamon. I was hoping someone can explain to me the difference between the ratios. I read a lot of people do 70/30 or 60/40. I'm not quite sure the difference is between them all. I will say that I use a amigo driptide tank and an Amigo fp50 2200mah battery if that makes any difference. Would switching from 50/50 make any sense for me or stick with 50/50?

I think that's my only question really I have found everything else I really needed to know so far like getting nicotine that is PG. Using the calculators blah blah blah. It all seems pretty self-explanatory. However I do have one more question about a recipe. I am looking for a decent easy to make red hot Cinnamon recipe. If anyone enjoys vaping this flavor and wants to share their secret recipe with me it would be much appreciated or has experience with the recipe they have tried that is proven. Thank you very much and I look forward to meeting everyone here. If I think of any more questions will be sure to ask.

Everyone here that DIYs will tell you the same thing. It's not as easy as it seems. It's relatively simple to do, but getting the juice to where you want it is difficult. There is a learning curve that is longer than most think and everyone has to go through the process. So, be prepared to be frustrated and disappointed at first. Just keep at it and do some work.

First, welcome to VU!
The different ratios are referring to the amount of VG, and PG in the eJuice. A higher VG ratio gives you less throat hit (TH), where as a higher PG, and/or Nicotine, gives you more TH.
In regards to the VG ratio in your eJuice, the more VG you're utilizing, the "thicker" it will be, which might cause wicking issues, depending on your Atty.
Regarding your Red Hot Cinnamon recipe, I do recommend TFA/TPA's https://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/p-6665-cinnamon-red-hot-flavor.aspx. I'm not sure, how strong, you like the flavor to be, I'd start with a 2% as flavor in your recipe mix. Start mixing just 10-15 ml. Check the flavor at different steeping times. Adjust the flavor's percentage as needed.

I agree strongly with @bobnat you will probably will make some stuff that ain't very good, just keep at it, and you will make some great stuff. I recommend FLV fire cinnamon, but it is really pricey though. Oh and welcome to VU, happy to have you.

I have found four different recipes that sounded kind of yummy. With looking at these which would you recommend for my first batch ever.

Cinnamon Fireball 30ml
---------------------------------------
Nicotine Juice 60mg (100%pg) 6ml
PG dilutant 6ml
VG dilutant 15ml
Cinnamon Red Hot (TPA) 3ml

It makes the 50/50 ratio that I wanted the only problem is it's 12 mg Nic and I do 6mg but from what I read that's an easy fix to dilute it

Mauls Atomic Fireball 30ml
---------------------------------------------
Nicotine Juice 100mg (100%pg) 4.8ml
PG dilutant 12.21ml
VG dilutant 7.29ml
Cinnamon Red Hot (TPA) 3.60ml
Marshmallow (TPA) 1.50ml
Sweet Cream (TPA) 0.60ml

This sounds kind of interesting with the marshmallow in the sweet cream. It strikes my interest. It is a 70/30 ratio but I would try that. Again I would just have to dilute the nicotine.

Red Hots 200ml
----------------------------
Nicotine Juice 100mg (100%vg) 12ml
PG dilutant 46.6ml
VG dilutant 120ml
Cinnamon (TPA) 12ml
Red Licorice (TPA) 4ml
Swedish Gummy (TPA) 5.4ml

Again this one sounds very interesting with the red Licorice and the Swedish gummy. I'm kind of curious about the 100% VG nicotine juice. And the ratio was a little weird but I do like the idea of the flavors kinda.

Red Hot Fireball 30ml
---------------------------
Nicotine Juice 100mg (100% pg) 3ml
PG dilutant 8.1ml
VG dilutant 15ml
Cinnamon Red Hot (TPA) 1.2ml
Cotton Candy (10% Ethyl Maltol)(TPA) .3ml
Fireball Type (FW) 2.4ml

This also sounds very interesting with the cotton candy. Add a little sweetness to it. I'm not sure what the ethyl maltol is though.

These are the four recipes that I picked out that sound really interesting. If anyone has any feedback or advice or anything about these recipes please share. Again this will be my first ever mix so I'm very excited and very nervous. Thanks for your help guys I appreciate it

Ethyl Maltol is a sweetener.

I'm utilizing the online calculator at http://e-liquid-recipes.com/create, in order to make my mixes. We usually use percentages as the measurement, not actual ml.

I'd mix the Red Hot Fireball. However, I would leave out the fireball type (FW), due to not having the flavor, and not knowing, what it tastes like.

welcome to VU :) keep it simple at first. pretty easy flavor to deal with. I know a lot of people who vape TFA cinnamon red hot with no other additions, kinda standard issue stuff. make sure to use a calculator when your mixing and you should be fine. good luck!
