I haven't seen a thread like this yet (kill me if there's one please) but I was wondering the different taste in music among the community. This is my current tune playing -

Edit - I think I just found a thread that's already been created like this one :( sorry!

I get Steely Dan songs stuck in my head a lot. Sort of like if you get the Brady Bunch theme song stuck in your head. You don't understand why; it just happens.

I saw this video and can't stop watching it.

The refrigerator hummming, the air conditioner and thinking it a bit chilly, and nothing. Enjoying the silence.

Old Time Radio. Boston Blackie, Suspense, The Black Museum.
It keeps me mellow and it’s entertaining.

For music, Lene Lovich doing Home. Old punk.

Quietness for the moment, not silence because quietness lacks the stillness of silence. :) Keep debating on finding a copy of Crazy Train to listen to in headphones, or not. The whole intro riff and then subsequent solo by Randy Rhodes keeps seeming to resonate in my skull. Maybe I'm just missing a good Randy Rhodes jam session.

There's still quietness. Maybe a screaming electric guitar isn't what I'm desiring to hear. I don't know, possible something on clarinet would suit. Not really sure what I'd enjoy hearing at the moment. Know the feeling I have but that's not so much about sounds as it is a sense of energies. Starting to despise do nothing days that are literal do nothing days. Oh joy, I can watch television.

My ears still listen to quiet.

I love Ozzy and yes Randy Rhodes was one of the greatest metal guitarist ever . I thought you may like to see this You Tube video- I watched that show Ozzy and Jack's World Detour(one of my favorites and I miss it) This was an amazing treat for Ozzy this day, to be able to hear Randy's solo for Crazy Train!

*chuckles* "C'mon let's go listen to it!"

Jack is so great on Portals to Hell. Seeing him like this with his dad too and the obvious realization in his eyes, "Holy Fuck, this, this legend is my dad!" Kicks much ass. I think I'd seen this once before, or maybe another version of it but didn't realize myself Jack was his son.

Hm, kind of strange for me to look at stuff like this, sons and dads. There is probably a lot I missed. At the same time I didn't know it was missing so didn't miss it at the time. Then, look at this kind of stuff and well, see I missed a lot. That stirs frustration, brushes by sorrow. So back to listening to quietness. I'm okay, just drifting along.

And no, unfortunately I cannot be proud of my dad now. He ruined that for me.

yeah, i was like 11th row, $300 1 ticket, beer, t-shirt and autographed Zakk poster. was an expensive show !
and i met a nice girl there also :)

i met OZZY in 85, i almost barfed on him, for real. i barfed like 1 min later, inside the record store. i drank a 5th of Jack in just a few hours waiting to meet him. i bet he still remembers me. i also saw him in concert 85, hardly remeber a lick of it, yep, drunk and stoned. hey, it was the 80's and i lived it ! :giggle::facepalm::bingo:

btw. my sig = song titles.

I just saw Breaking Benjamin and Korn the other night for 18 bucks. Fantastic show, but I wish BB headlined. Been jamming them both

both good ^ i agree on the BB headliner. where did you see em for $18 ? did you have parking lot seats ? :giggle:
I have seen BB headline many times, totally different animal imo. But you can't steal the show right? They can't get anyone to come to our shit hole, murder capital town, so stuff is usually pretty cheap. Place only has 2500 seats, so really not a bad one. I bet at least 1500 were unoccupied, so I sat in about the 15th to 20th row

I'm sure that was a great show- $18.00 is hard to believe, such a fantastic price for tickets!

Haha- those were the 70's and 80's for me- I don't even remember the Nazareth/ Deep Purple concert- in '76 I went to- it was all a blur :teehee:
I met Jack Russell , singer for Great White- I got his autograph- at a small dive bar watching local battle of the bands.Lou Gramm a local here went on to sing for Foreigner- I've met him too when he sang with Black Sheep.

It's sad really. I've seen and done it a bunch before. They start at a price, and no one is buying. They keep dropping the price to try to sell any tickets. There is zero support here for that sort of thing. Oh well, their loss is my gain :) Otep, one of my all time favorites was here a couple of years ago. I got to see them for around $20 as well. I remember counting 42 people there  She said, I don't think I have ever played in a movie theater before, but what the hell....

that could end up being your lose. if nobody shows up, neither will they.

years ago i went to a local "biker bash". HEADS EAST was there on the 2nd stage, about 5 people watching. other than 1 song, they suck.
on the first stage, 1st Lynard Skynard, then the OUTLAWS ! there where about 25 people there. i couldn't believe it.

Speaking of Ozzy's guitarists- Jake E Lee was no slouch either!
One of my favorite Ozzy albums(CD) is the Ultimate Sin- every song on that album is awesome!
