So I managed to kill 2 of my 26650's today in the span of 2 minutes (I think). I was refilling a Kayfun, which I've done a bunch of times. This is probably the 15th tank through this particular coil. After I filled it, I put it on my mod and got nada. Pushed it maybe 5 pulses worth. Threw it on my Luc-V4 to check voltage and it read 0.0v. So I checked all my connections on the mod, ensured nothing came loose. Tried it again on another battery. 1 pulse this time. Nothing. However again it now reads 0.0v on the luc but no heat generated from the battery. Checked the Kayfun and it shorted itself somehow.

Either way, these batteries (MKNE) I believe have short protection that I'm sure was tripped. Is there a way to flip them back? That immediate trip kind of stinks if its not reversible. At least with the VTC4's and 5's they heat up right away and you know to back off and let them do their thing, but an hour later or so they are good to go.

I charge all my batteries on an XTAR VP1/2 Charger. I've vaped my mnke's down to 2v and threw on charger. It restored them back to factory new & now they are normal again!!!

Mine were both nearly full and now on the Luc V4 charger it will quickly flash up to about 4.1 and then go to 0. If I leave it on long enough it will hang at 4.1, but if I take it off and put it back on the charger it goes back to 0v. Neither will vape at all though. So it's not a matter of it running down, they just seem dead. Looking online it looks like they have a short protection, but I can't figure out how to reset the trip.

I had a 18650 that a friend of my son ran down to zero, thought it was toast. If I remember correctly, around the 6th time I put it in the charger it woke up and charged. Now works good. I'd keep trying.

Try putting one in the freezer for a few hours and then let it warm back up and put on the charger. I did that trick for a supposedly dead Orbtronic 18650 and it worked.

I tried this after seeing your post and low and behold it worked. Vaped it down and recharged just fine. Thanks for the tip. Enjoy the day!

I don't know about the LUC. However, most of the XTAR charger have a revive feature, that tries to revive a overly discharged battery.
