Two month builder here, and starting to get the hang of things.
I ordered a bunch of claptons, watched videos of people blowing out massive beautiful clouds of smoke. So, I built with them, in my new Vandy Vape BF squonk box which I love, Vandy vape Pulse RDA.
So, I am coughing my lungs out with a dual coil clapton, and last night built a five coil 24 gauge single coil. Still coughing my lungs out.
Then, I realized, the thinner the wire, the greater the resistance, so, the less smoke.
Tonight I built a 28 gauge Kanthal, five wraps, 1.0 ohm, and god it's so much smoother, no coughing. OK, no massive clouds, but decent ones, and much more flavor.
Does this make sense? I am posting this in case anyone else is having a similar issue, greater resistance, less coughing. (No, I am not an ex smoker, I drink lots of water, but I am no spring chicken maybe that has something to do with it....)
Squonking by the way is so much fun, it's so easy, it's like a pure simple way to vape, just like the old days... lol
