So I wanted to try it. Here's my first test piece - a C.O.V. Kindred mech. Interesting to work with, but I'm gonna have to learn to develop a few techniques. And yes, I believe I got in touch with my feminine side with this color combination... :D

Very nice Sonar505! Any tutorials that you suggest?

Sorry do not remember any tutorials, It has been awhile and memory is not what it used to be. But I do remember a few things on how I did it. First I glued a small piece of white felt. (Walmart .25 cents) on a small flat piece of plastic. Then applied the 2 colors one per each end. Then layered each color one at a time starting with brown then green on top. After used the corner of a piece of paper saturated with Alcohol and just barely touching the colors in different places. This caused the colors to blend and swirl in interesting patterns. Or just dropping some on mod can cause different ones. The nice thing about these is that If you don't like how it came out wipe with alcohol and start again a few seconds later.
The only problems I had with them was trying to find a spray on clear coat that would last for a long time. Speaking about clear coat do yourself a favor and pick up some corks to shove into the ends of the mod before working on it. cleaning threads of overspray is a major pain.

@Sonar505
can you do something like that with wood for a mod?

Actually yes I think I can. Just got some new dyes in for my current custom requests. So I guess I can experiment and try and layer some on scrap pieces. If your interested that is?
