Tips for Fogger V4

I wanted to share some tips to avoid dry hits on the fogger V4. Don't place any of your wick in the channels. Pull your wicks up and place your chimney on, then tuck the wicks down into chimney careful to avoid clogging the airflow. Much like we started out wicking the kayfun. Fill slowly to avoid forcing juice into chimney. And lastly, do not over tighten the top cap. I love this tank and I think you will too if you follow these tips. You are able to sub ohm with no wicking problems and no leaking.

i like rda,s but the fogger is the first rda that i like a bit tricky to get right but once you do it is the best great airflow like a good rda

Fogger is an RTA not RDA :p

Good tips mtnpaws.

I'll add one more, if you are using very thing juice that is super runny, fill the channels a bit more, the thicker the juice the less inside the channel you want.

I have the 4.3 and it's very picky - either dry hits or leaks. I'll take the leaks, because the flavor is amazing....but it can't leave the house!

I have a fogger v4 and I believe it's what people are calling the 4.3 version. The airflow is very restrictive and I even had my vendor ship me a new base and still same issue. There doesn't appear to be anything restricting in the holes. Has anyone else encountered this? Also, I have the airflow ring removed and while sucking the base, it's restrictive.

The only problem I have with the afc is that it's either wide open or half closed - not much in between. The 4.3 is the one with the reduced capacity, so it only holds 3mls. As I mentioned earlier, it either gives dry hits or leaks - I'll take the leaks, because the flavor is so good, but it's a bit of a pain.

I've been building my Fogger v4.3 kinda like I did my Aqua, but just a bit differently in the channels since they are small. It's been ok, not super-awesome but good..

So, like the OP says there is this different way of wicking it. Something that looks weird but I tried it today and....
holysheep.gif

This sucka rocks now.....same 1.0 ohm DC build, except now it's so much better...loads of wet juicy vapor from hell.

(Loooong talking about it at first...start at about 7:30 to get to the actual build.)

So, props for that....it really makes a difference!

v4 plus is the v4.3? I have the v4 plus and I like it a lot I put a small amount of wick into the channels to prevent a flood and havent had problems with dry hits but i was careful to just barely wick it almost just to slow the juice down but I may try it without any if you say you havent flooded

It will start to flood when your juice level is low as with any bottom coil tank.

I always vape mine till empty and don't leak, I do get very small leakage from air holes if chain vaping, but nothing major, use to take 3 kayfuns to work with me, now I just take 1 fogger and vape most of the tank while at work.

Glad I found this cause I just traded for a fogger and it ended up the v4+. This makes the dry hits I was getting very little

I have a V4, first version I think. Great tip to build like a Kayfun and not put any wick in the channels. yiloong's video was a great help as well. It's vaping like a champ with a Cloupor DNA30 box!

Just got the fogger from angelcigs. Seems much easier to put the bottom chimney on and then cut the wick and stuff that back down in. I next tried to see what happens if I put a drop in each channel and suck through the chimney. Hey look I can tell without putting the thing back together that the wicking works.

So I built this dual coil with 28gauge at .9 ohms, using a cloupor 30watts mod. What watts should I be starting around? This is really different than my Zen2 and Patriot RDA's.

You'll have to go to somewhere around 17.8 to get the Cloupor to regulate and not blink. 4 volts is the minimum regulated output. 4volts at .9 ohms is just under 17.8 watts. That number may vary slightly with the accuracy of the ohms reading in your particular unit.

Thanks. Not so much as to make the device not blink, as to what wattage others are using with their Foggers?

My fogger is set up at 0.52 ohm and I use it mostly on a mechanical mod so at 4.2 volts it is close to 34 watts. I would suggest starting at around 10 watts and move up till you juice tastes good to you. My guess with a 0.9 ohm would be anywhere from 15 watts and up should be good. Everyone is different and every juice is different.

Have any of you tried to top fill while covering the air holes on the side with your fingers?

Yes, but I did get some leaking doing it that way, I sometimes get a bit of leaking filling from fill port, but that is normally because I am trying to get as much juice in as I can, so basically over filling it, I take 1 fogger to work with me, so I need it filled up good to last my 8 hour shift.

Yes, 1 out of the 3 I bought had very restricted airflow! The airholes from the deck to lower base airholes needed the drilling to be completed. I put it on the press and drilled them both out the rest of the way. Great airflow now!!! Beware, I went through almost 2 drill bits.

I think this RTA could REALLY benefit by having an O-ring on the bottom assembly.

Note the O-ring below on the RSBT (between the airflow control and threading for the chimney):

I think it would make top-filling the Fogger a bit less messy.
