SX Mini G Class + Crown 3

Anybody have experience/tips for this setup? I just recently bought the SX Mini, and upgrade over my previous Alien 220w. I'm still a novice vaper, and the large amount of settings make me feel as if I'm not getting the most out of this box.

I've used that setup a bit- think I was using a TCR of 112 with it. Think around 68W with the power curve turned on; after short coil break in from soft then standard. Worked quite nicely.

Power curve? I don't even know where that's at..

Did you mess with the temp or compensate settings? I have mine on 555/77

I will say My Crown 3 tank does not vape that well on my G and other mods, I can have the same settings take off the Crown and put any other Sub Tank Or RTAs and holy cow a good hit. This is just my personal experience, I know those Crowns look so pretty but might not be the tank for your G....

Thanks!

I'm using the .25 Crown coil that came installed. Also have a .5 coil that came with it. I'm in wattage mode at sitting at 75.7

I'm typically used to the .2 TFV6 coil which was at 120w

Well, I could always put my TFV8 on there. The Crown is really pretty though..

I was running it with TC on 0.5Ohm coil (I'd probably go +10W/J for the 0.25. Temp set 420ish depending on juice/taste. Use the room temp when you lock resistance for the compensate temp, generally 70 or so. Look over some vids, G Class is a very capable mod.

Hi guys, this may have been covered already, but what does this mean, 'I'd probably go +10W/J for the 0.25. Temp set 420ish depending on juice/taste. ' - I am running at 120J as I have no idea what it really means. Any help would be appreciated.

Think of jules as watts in temp control mode. Are you using temp control? Do you know what that is?

I do thanks and yes I am. I'm using a TCR of .112 for a 0.5 coil, which works well at 100J (watts) around 450F and I was wondering whether I should modify the TCR for the 0.25 coil up/down or leave the same. Doesn't feel quite right on .112 and am new to this, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, apologizes if I came off as a dick..

With TC its basically a guessing game. Find the right combo of temp / jules by experimenting and stick with what works best for you.

No you didn't at all, thanks for the advice! There must be a constant for less resistance though? Up or Down? LOL

Why are you using that value for TCR?
TCR has nothing to do with the resistance of a coil.
You can search here for TCR values, or just use the builtin values for common wire. Do you know what material the coils is, SS316, Ni, Ti,?
If you are using temp control, you should get closer to the wattage/joules you would vape in power mode. Else, you'll get rattlesnaking from the mod because the power is heating your coil too quickly and has to be cut off/down then back to the set joules, back down, ad infinitum.

Hi, I was using that value as someone here mentioned it would be a good place to start. I tried using the mod on ss316 setting, but there was very little flavour, so tried the TCR setting and it seemed to work better. The coils are the Crown 3 0.5 SS coils. The mod seems to be doing OK on the TCR setting, not rattlesnaking, unlike my Smok Alien, which did very badly. The vape is smooth on the G Class.
