Look at all the young hottie redheads :)

Both of my husbands have opined that they loved living in Atlanta because there were more redheaded women per capita than anyplace else they'd ever been. :giggle: Very likely; I think most Georgians hail from scot/irish/celtic forebears.

I graduated high school in 80. But I was working back in 74. My dad died when I was 12 so I made money working with horses.
My dad died when I was 16. I worked 40 hours a week and went to 30 hours a week tech school.
Before then I worked doing farm type labor. working hay, corn, etc.

Isn't it amazing how our age group were such hard workers! We did what we could to put food on the table. And our ancestors probably did even more than that. At least being outside and working works the stress off.

I just got stung by a yellow jacket. I went to turn on the cold faucet in my kitchen and it was hiding behind the handle. Now my ring finger hurts like hell and swollen to twice its normal size.

My hair was dirty blonde. But I always had wanted strawberry blonde hair. Now it's gray hehehe! And I can dye it any color I want LOL

I've been doing that for years -- mine started darkening sometime in my 30s, till now its natural color is such a dark auburn it's damned near black! And of course the damn grays that make me look like Old Smoky, even though I don't even smoke anymore!

I graduated in 79... I had worked the previous summer, though... a waitress at Pizza Hut! Bought my first carton of cigarettes that summer... $7.50. Now they're damn close to that PER PACK!

My husband graduated in '70, so we're at either end of the 70s. :D

Morning fugee's and GFY :)

Gotta get off my lazy ass and mix some juice today.

Been in a funk lately. Had to resign form my job last week. 30 year career ends with a wet fart instead on a bang. :( but at least I am able to roll my retirement over into an IRA now and access it.

Mornin' choppy! I'm sorry you had to resign when you aren't ready. I was looking forward to retiring next year but now it doesn't look like that's going to happen. I had my ducks in a row preparing for retirement until the transmission issue came along. Now it looks like I'll have to work at least 2 more years. :( Oh well though...such is life! I was never promised a rose garden. :)

Really hated hearing about your transmission and your right, no one ever promised life wold be easy.

For years I dreamed of the day I could say fuck it and hang up my wrenches. I always loved my job but like everyone else. after many years of doing it the prospect of not having to go to work was a fun dream. Now that I cant go to work it actually sucks. I been trying to cope with this for a while and the peeps here have been a great support group, but having to resign really brought it all home to me. Never in a million years would I have thought saying "I quit" would be so damn hard.

I'm sorry guys. Life isn't really a Rose Garden is it. But it is a roller coaster ride and I'm sure things will get better soon. I'm glad you got some money at least choppy. Lynn you are still young but I'm sorry that you have to work another 2 years. I don't know when I'm going to retire now because I have a grandbaby coming along soon. As well as lots of stuff to be done to this house. But I also realize the fact that I'm working side-by-side with a sequel coding genius and learning so much that I may be able to do some contract work when I do retire. Ever since I got on my ADHD medication and can concentrate, I'm really hooked on it. More than ever before. Writing code is really addictive. Geez I made this all about me again. Sorry. But I do love you guys and I'm trying to cheer you up.
