But if you don't like those rules, you can leave. Not be punished for not agreeing with them..................................................
yes...like I keep saying..leave these decisions to the state or localities...and if people don't like them they can find a locality more suited to their outllook and needs at the time.

exactlly...that is why I say leave it to the localities.or states.

It is already up the localities and states. People do it anyway because the localities and states are not small.

I can drive to a legal cat house in two hours, but there is still prostitution here even though it's illegal. Too many people to stop it. So, it's a waste of police time and money to try.

Yeah well I have lived in big cities and small towns and I never saw the cops make to big a fuss over hookers. people beat their wives and their is a law against it they beat their kids they steal , and they always will....but we still make those things illegal and have the cops chase them down.

You want a world where you are free to make your own decesions and be resposible for those decisions....unfortunately we live in a world where people want to be free to make their own decesions.. then cry victim.and have society clean up their disasters

first off none of us knows what goes on in other people's households....secondly and this is the problem I have with Libertarians..Libertarians in America are the product of thousands of years of western thought..it didn't spring out of nowhere ..these good parents you talk about come from a culture and tradition that has evolved over a mellinium, and whether you like it or not they are a product of certain moral codes.you imagine a world that works great.....as long as it is a world raised by good parents...guess what good parents are as rare as hen's teeth.

Good parents is a relative term. It means something different to everybody.

The problem with non libertarians is they want to be free to do what they feel is fine and they want me to not do what they don't feel is fine. Well, I don't give a shit what you do or don't do. Why is it you feel compelled to tell me what I can't do?

If the neighbor lady wants to blow me for $20 and I want to be be blown for $20, who got hurt that you feel like it's now your business to tell us we can't do it? :)

The problem with Libertarians is they have never lived in the utopia they lecture us all to strive for..it's a mythical place....and in the places it is not mythical it is usually brutal, deadly and 99% of American Libertarians would be dead within 3 days after having their gold teeth pulled out of their heads and stripped of thier boots...try Somalia

That's because they are used to the nanny state taking care of them.

I can't help what other people do.

That's like saying because some people shoot people, nobody should own a gun. You can't tell people that they can't do something because of what other people did. ;)

I agree I don't have a simple answer, but I don't think Anarchy does either...the thing you keep avoiding is when humans freely organize into a tribe, town,or even a bake sale, they create codes to make living together as smooth as possible...for them it is not a philisophical debate it is a practical solution..it is a balancing act to get the most freedom without friction....

That's not true. Read Rosum's signature.

I hate to tell you, but I don't abide by "laws" that I don't agree with. I'll get stoned if I want. I'll pay for pussy if I want. I break the law daily, in many ways. Hell, I ordered some cloned shit from China today.

It's the scale. Large communities don't work.

If I had my way, each COUNTY would be independant with their own laws. And I'd move to the county with the fewest.

The problem with Libertarians as a party is that there are way too many factions
for them to be able to get together and be a force to contend with.

The other night (last?) when Time said he's a LIbertarian and PV replied
I tried to find a link to a website by The Libertarians Against The Libertarian Party.
I couldn't find the site but found a facebook group with the same name.
I have not messaged them to ask whether they are the same and if so whether they still have a web site.

Last year when I frequented said site I read some interesting articles which showed that
Gary Johnson and his running mate William Weld both are globalists and support gun control.
Most Libertarians I know are against globalism and gun control.

If you search on Google, DuckDuckGo, or even Bing you'll find a myriad Libertarian factions listed.
Some are pro LGBT marriage, some not. Some are hawks and some are doves..ETC.

Yeah so what...who the fuck does live by the law...we do what we think we can get away with......I've known real pirates..I worked on fishing boats when I was young...and there is a breed of people who just find the constraints of society intolerable, and they go to sea..they go out in little boats and play with the big boys, where a mistake or bad judgment will cost you your life when your 500 miles from land..no 911 calls out there boyos....these guys don't feel comfortable around societies and laws, I've known them to go sail to Borneo and hang out with headhunters, or smuggle things for large amounts of money, they live a law unto themselves....if you wanna pee with the big dogs you have to run in the tall grass...nothing is stopping you or anybody else from doing it. but you don't..you live in this society because of the comforts saftey and benifits it provides...

Daily we work toward an over reaching nanny state. If I could... I'd reverse it and work everday more toward a socitey that encouraged personal freedom and resposiblity, but it does not seem to be what people want.

Yes I agree.... I think diversity works I want to see 5,000 different experiments in human societies within America, but we are being pushed toward one single society for the entire planet.

Addendum: I lost the bookmark which was in a computer that died.
I think I posted it at ECF to piss off an asshole who claimed to be Libertarian.

The only thing Johnson had going for him
is that he supports legalization and admits he's a stoner. He loses me with gun control

To me Libertarians don't need to agree on everything.....I grew up in the rural Southwest very few people around...there was one code...you were free to do whatever you wanted except butt your nose into another man;s bussiness, that was considered bad form...but then people also had respect for each other when they were in the public sphere and courtesy was written in stone.....It was about as close to a Libertarian society as I've ever seen....you were free but a breach of courtesy was enough to get you into real trouble.

Wait, is this the same laptop that the FBI reviewed in a matter of a few days last fall and then claimed that there wasn't anything significant there?

Comey didn't realize NYC detectives made an image of the drive and threatened to leak it if Comey didn't prosecute. Wikileaks has had info for a year & will release it in full if Hillary is not charged for her crimes by 10/21

You and I are the same age give or take. We all grew up like that. It wasn't necessary to voice the rules..we knew them
However in order to get a Libertarian, that is somebody who represents and supports most if not all
of the ideals which the Libertarians claim to
they have to get enough people together to
a. Make their voices heard
b. Get elected.

yep and no two agree on the color of the sky......and why should they...it's the only place where you can be yourself and people don't call you "contrary" or malcontent....but what they do agree on is they want everybody to let their freak flag fly...and humanity can only evolve through freedom

Or do you mean like swearing off technology and running through the hills wearing deerskins and shit? :p

I think we might be talking about different things.

There were rumors to that effect last year, that NYC detectives had a copy and would go public if Comey didn't do his job. But since nothing ever came of it, most people assumed that those rumors had no substance.

nooks and cranies, phillipines, Borneo,Thailand,..there's goverments...but no money for cops, so you can buy your own.....We now have half a population who think it is their bussiness to stick their nose in other people's business...they say they are saving the world but really they are just controling assholes, and the other half think the rest of us were put here to wipe their assess and put out the fires they set. cause we are all one big happy faimly dontcha know....we all have that idiot brother or sister...who just can't figure out why we stopped lending them money and won't let them sleep on our couches.

Yes, indeed you did say libertarian with a small l.
But you tend to be weird as well so that doesn't help the profile...but I do apologize
for assuming you were being grammatically incorrect :D

However note I said that you saying you were a Libertarian prompted me to try to find the website link,
that was in response to PV's reply and his comment tonight
about the problem with Libertarians..Big L

"“Operation No Tricks, No Treats” started last Tuesday, October 10 and ran through Monday, October 16. During that time, undercover detectives posted fake ads or profiles online posing as prostitutes or someone who solicits prostitutes. Other detectives responded to profiles and ads posted by prostitutes."
Can't help wonder how many undercover cops responded to other cops' fake ads.
I don't like sting ops unless they target pedos
Considering Halloween is the time of year when more children go missing than any other time of year I'm happy to see that they are proactively cracking down on trafficking.

Yea but they're cracking down on prostitution trafficking. I wanna see pedos put away.
If somebody (adult), even a cop wants to buy a hooker he/she should be able to..If a person (adult) wants to sell their body for sex he/she also should be able to..I am morally and "religiously" opposed to prostitution but think adults should be able to do what they will as long as nobody gets hurt.

Children are another story. Even a wise, smart child is morally and sexually innocent.
That's one of my pet peeves about Islam. Leave the kids alone!

And the way you bust Pedo traffickers is to cast a wide net and bust all traffickers since they are catching them early to indoctrinate them into the life and provide a greater menu to their clients desires. It is naive to believe otherwise.
