Thinking of Dripping......

First of all, let me apologize in advance if this has been covered before......tried the search but never found what i was looking for.

Recently sold my MVP and got an Istick.....loving it for daily use with my aerotank mini, but am thinking about getting an RDA and trying out dripping.

First question, besides copious amounts of vapor, what can i expect out of dripping? More flavor?

Secondly, will the 20 watts the Istick is capable of work decently with a rebuildable?

And last but not least, the inevitable question......which one to get? Need something easy to work on since this will be my first, and don't want to spend a fortune right out of the gate.

Thanks in advance........

  1. Flavor
  2. Yep! It'll work really well.
  3. Lots of people like the Magma. Also, Plume Veil, Trident, Orchid, and a host of others. Myself, i just got a Venturi, which has a Kayfun-like chimney stack inside - this is supposed to help increase flavor.

The istick will work with an RDA, but you will have to build higher ohm coils because I think the minimum the istick will fire at is 1.2 ohms, may be wrong about that though. I would recommend getting some 28 gauge kanthal and a Tugboat clone as your 1st RDA. It has a simple 3 post design and the airflow hole is big enough to not need drilled out. You might also want to get a good ohm meter, but you can use your istick as an ohm meter. Go to you tube and watch a few building videos to learn to build a simple duel coil.

Are some clones better than others?

I've used the little tridents for close to a year and a half to test DIY flavors in.... Set up with a 1.0 ohm single coil.

Btw, +1 on the tugboat with dual coils . It's hard to fuck that one up. It works well, good taste and vapor. Good deep well so you don't have to drip so much.

The others mentioned above are all good ones.

In my experience...stick with Infinite. I will add that Tobeco did a cracking job on the Magma...enough so that I bought two.

Don't forget to lower your nic down for dripping.
I've started vaping 24mg in a clearo. Had to go to 6mg dripping, 12mg RTA

subjectively yes. tugboat, plume veil, & magma pretty much cover all available (and popular) build decks that people use. you can go from there on your dripping journey, magma is something you should definitely get although not a cloud chaser its a damn good rda and a staple in the vape world

edit: sorry i thought you were asking if some rdas are better. sxk, infinite, tobeco make the best clones

Some juices work outstandingly in my Magmas...some prefer a wee bit of abuse in my Tobh V2's or Doge's.....it all comes down to the juice and how much volume you want in your plumeage.
