Ok I'm helping out a friend of my daughters
She bought a used Wismec RX200 with Aspire Exo tank & 3 18650's for $90
She's vaping on it after giving the guy the $ once home she didnt know better & tried charging it thru the USB (he should have told her she needed a charger) Anyway the next day she tried to fire it & kept getting the weak battery etc warnings.
So she gives it to me & I take it apart & see these batteries which have 0 markings whatsoever except the green 22F. But if you look at the top of the batteries it looks like they've been desoldered from something. Any clue as to what tho & what Mah and amp they could be ?
Thanks Guys !

Whatever they are dispose of them and spend under $20 on a known quality authentic battery.

Not worth disfigured face or burnt fingers to save $20. The person that sold it either didn't know well enough to charge those cells in an external charger or didn't care to share the info but I would assume those cells have had a rough life and are ready for the trash even if they were a high quality cell to begin with.

Edit: looked at the pics, I wouldn't keep those in the house, let alone vape with them.

^^^ what @fq06 said

As a rule of thumb, if you don't know the battery don't use the battery.

In this case, if you were able to identify it, you don't know the previous person's usage habits. Those appear to have traveled a long road and are ready to be dismissed from service. The cost of keeping them is way to high.

Dispose of them, and replace them with fQ06's suggestion.

Yah I told her she'll need to get new ones plus a external charger after I seen these lol
I've just never seen ones that looked to have been desoldered from something

I've desoldered and replaced new ones in mods that have built in batteries. It does appear to be soldering points. However that does not mean they origanated from a mod. It could have been in a laptop battery pack, another mod, an rf transmitter, lawn equipment or almost anything using a battery pack.

According to the data sheet the 22F is a 5A battery, You want a 20 - 30 amp battery for vaping. You also want 3 of the same batteries. Stick with Sony, Samsung or LG batteries at least 20 amp CDR.

This is why vaping gets a bad rap. I really wish there was a unique battery for vaping. I have seen a million different types of 18650s out there that are total crap. There was a local guy here that's been vaping for years, and all he uses are batteries that he desoldered from packs and re wrapped. I can't believe he's never had one vent on him or worse.

Anyway, you already received your advice and she should be all set. I just had to rant!
