Kayfun 5² - 25 mm

Just ordered a Kayfun 5² from germany yesterday. Been searching around but seems like no1 even knows it exists yet xD its basically a kayfun 5 with upgraded airflow. They have a vid on youtube >
To compare> These are the airflow options the k5 has:
  • 1,8mm (Kayfun Lite plus)
  • 2,2mm (Kayfun 4)
  • 2,7mm (Kayfun 4S)
  • 3,2mm (maximum airflow)
These are the airflow options the k5² has:
  • 3 mm
  • 3,5mm
  • 4 mm
the tank is bigger obv but in proportion everything is still the same, only the proportion of the airflow hole in the deck has increased. It seems like you can fit a big staple build in there. I tumbled upon a post on reddit where ppl where talking about the clone and some guy mentioned that the k5² is a limited edition and there will only be 250 authentic pieces, but i find that hard to believe. It did go out of stock on svoemesto.de in like 1 day but i was able to order it from another german store. And since i havent seen any US ppl talking about yet i wonder whats going to happen. I know that with the k5 europe got it a week earlier. They were sold a week later in US. I wonder if this is gonna be just like that. I'd be sad if some of you kayfun lovers werent able to try this one. I'll get it in like 4-5 days so ill keep the post updated. Might drop a review on it. Already using the k5 alot atm but love my goon too now and then. I wonder if this k5² is able to make me put down my goon

edit: put the wrong video url xD sorry, its changed now

Let us know your thoughts, it looks exactly like the v5 ;) except for the airflow, which is hard to see in the vid.

Yh ther arent rlly any decent pics of it out yet. Found this one plateau.jpg
Its not the best picture but you can see that the airflow hole is more oval instead of round. So it can probably cover a big 6 wrap framed staple. But we shall see... i will update this post with some decent pictures once i recieve it.

And tpd shii is only in my country i believe (the netherlands) . Dutch ppl aren't allowed to sell tanks above 2mls anymore. But we are still allowed to buy them. So we can still order them as long as they're being sold from another country. Pretty retarded

Agreed. But it's not surprising when a government makes a mess of things.

its basically the mayor tabacco corporations just trying to do everything they can to block vaping. and since our government makes billions on taxes from cigarretes (1 pack is 6.70 euro here, production cost below 1eu) they kinda go with it or something. I just wish mayor tabacco corporations would all come to a standstill, agree to not create smoking products anymore and invest billions in vape research/development >.> That would be my dream

if a corporation as big as marlboro would put everything they have into creating vaping equipment they would no doubtly create the best vape gear ever made, multiple times

I saw this ... I want one BAD!
after we move, this is probably the first news toy I'm going to try and get.
The K5 authentic is my go to tank, no reason that this won't be as good or better.

Not if they had a monopoly they wouldn't. Or even if there were a few major players they'd more than likely collude to control and stifle the market. I wouldn't trust any tobacco company to do anything. After all, they are truly the Darth Vader of business. Nothing but pure, unabashed evil in the guise of free market capitalism. Fuck Marlboro and their horse.

Just got the message that my kayfun squared is getting delivered tommorow . Made a sloppy high gauge framed staple for it xP

I wonder how many wraps it will fit.
Will upload some pics of it tommorow.

So i just got the squared in for a couple of hours and my god. If i would describe it i would say, its basically what the kayfun v5 should have been for dl vapers. The tank is extremely well made, even better than the v5. The airflow this time, i didnt even need to lube the o rings with vg. Everything was smooth af from the box.

I made alot of pics and didnt know if this site supported the resolution of them and the quantity so i made a album on imgur > https://imgur.com/a/4DVW1

As you can see i fit in a framed staple coil (2x28g ka1 and 8ply .3 ribbon).
In the beginning i was kinda lost a lil bit since i wanted to install it normally past the screws. But since my coil is fairly big/wide the leads of it would kinda get pushed to the coil ( i know from experience this can create nasty hotspots). So instead i chose to wrap em around the hooks and it worked suprisingly well, even though the coil was flat. I didnt get 1 hotspot or uneven firing! (prolly because of the flat connection being OP)
As you can see the driptip seems to be just a tiny touch bigger than the original. Same goes for the neck of the chimney. The Juice flow holes have been made big enough to the point where i can chainvape a whole tank on high wattages without ever getting dryhits.

The original kayfun v5 seemed to be a device that compensated on alot of things to be able to do MTL and DL both. But MTL was kinda airy and DL restricted. This one however is clearly a DL tank (my type of tank). I love how they made single airflow holes on bot sides instead of dual holes. It made the airflow even smoother and even when sucking on it like a madman there is absolutely no whistle, not even a slight sound.

The lowest airflow setting is kinda comparable to the normal kayfun v5. But because this fits a staple build, the flavor i get from it is even BETTER than the normal kayfun v5. YES ITS BETTER (if you're into DL that is).

I found that even with this coil in there it vapes amazing on the lowest airflow setting on just 30w. So you can still buy this tank and use it at work and it will still last you prolly as long as the normal v5 (it has a 6ml capacity with the glass and 7.5 with the stainless steel sleeve). The full open setting is kinda comparable to a goon with 1.5/1 airflow holes open on both sides in dual coil. It is still restricted but if you pump up the wattage to lets say 50 (which is no problem whatsoever) you will get as much vapor production as most high end sub ohm tanks nowadays while still retaining as much flavor (maybe even more since you get rlly dense cloudage and the vape starts getting a little warmer).

I've been rocking it in the second airflow mode which is just a tiny bit airyer than the full open kayfun v5. I've been rocking it at 45w and man, its just incredible. I'd go as far as to say that this is better than any flavor i ever extracted out of my goon OR kayfun v5 or any atty for that sake.
And this is without a doubt the smoothest airflow i have ever experienced. Going from dual holes to single big holes in the airflow really made a HUGE change in smoothness.

As far as the feel, it feels very sturdy. If you own an authentic kayfun v5 you know what i'm talking about. My kayfun v5 is prolly 2 times as heavy as my NRG tank from vaporesso. Yet the NRG tank is 25mm and the k5 22mm... So needless to say, this 25mm is quite heavy. As i mentioned its even better build than the k5 and feels alot sturdier and smoother too. As you can see in the pics the topfill juice holes are a tiny bit larger too.

Conclusion/tl;dr :
-If you are a kayfun v5 owner and you are a DL vaper, or even if you arent a k5 owner and you are a DL vaper and you've been searching for a tank that you can take with you and lasts you a whole day.
-A tank that can perform and produce serious cloudage when you want too.
-A tank that will produce incredible flavor.
-And above all, a tank that feels like i'd prolly lasts till you're 90 years old and ready to pass it to your grandkids.

Then yes this is the tank for you. It's everything the kayfun v5 is but better, ALOT better.
Ofc this only applies to DL vapers, as this isn't a MTL device by any means.
If you are a MTL vaper, i would suggest you check out the Kayfun prime. Heard great things about that one also.

XD it's pretty insane but getting a whole new mod/mech just for this atty i would say its worth it. Which sounds pretty insane, but it is. This tank is the best DL tank i have ever bought in my 2 years of vaping hands down. Even if this tank wouldve been 200 bucks i'd pay that. That should say something about how it performs.

i will continue to post updates along the way, since i've only had it for like 4 hours now. I'll try out alot more builds throughout the week and post my experiences with them. So far tho, i've already chainvaped through 2 full tanks and i've yet to encounter any dry hits. The tank itself also doesnt rlly get warm. Its only at 70w that chainvaping can become uncomfortable (not because of dryhits but because of atty getting warm) But then again you dont ever need to go that high because like i said, this thing at 45w on middle airflow setting is the best flavor i have ever had till this day.

oh and btw, you are able to fit big coils in there but you wont be able to fit a staple staggered fused clapton. The leads will be too thick. You might be able to fit it in with the leads past the screws but if you do that you will limit how wide your coil can be so you'd prolly only fit a 3 wrap in there. I would suggest putting aliens/framed staples in this atty. A normal tri core alien would prolly fit 6/7 wraps. Also i have a 3mm coil in there because i have no 4mm screwdrivers xD but im guessing 4mm would fit just fine also.

Is it a 510 driptip or did they go to the 810?

Its still 510. But honestly, you'd prolly wouldnt want to change it anyway. The driptips have always been my favo part of the kayfuns. (They seem to make it from some sort of plastic composit kinda stuff thats even more heat resistant than ultem and feels incredibly comfortable imo. But yh if you'd want you could put in another 510 driptip without a problem

Also, i dunno if you watched the pic of the spare kit bag but you get like every o ring times 4. Its pretty nice. Thats why i mentioned, it feels like an atty you would pass your grandkids later, thats how long it feels that i'd last xD

Also the inside of driptip seems to be a tiny tad wider than that of the 22mm. Maybe that is also one of the reasons it just feels so smooth

I really pray for you guys that they will be sold in the US too. I'd suck big time if they only release a limited amount of them in Europe. This thing literally just changed the whole 25mm atty game. I'm still waiting for my hadaly to arrive, but i'd expect it to be like this. Maybe this kayfun is even better. All i know is, right now this is the best atty i own and i own 5 sub ohm tanks, 3 rda's, 3 rdta's and 5 rta's atm. All being pretty high end/high priced attys (except for the sub ohm tanks ofc :p). The goon is the cheapest atty i own and was my fav for a long time due to its versatility, but when i got the kayfun v5 it just really blew me away and made me more of a restricted DL vaper. Now i am pleased to say that i have finally found my tank. This thing is a masterpiece.

I made a pic for you to compare driptips. As you can see the left one is smaller but they are still the same from the bottom. Both have 2 o rings and same 510.20170927_150654.jpg

only difference the kayfun v5² driptip seems to be a wide bore model while the normal k5 driptip is more of a conical style

No doubt, didn't even know this was a thing until I saw your post. Having the Kayfun 5 and loving it, I seriously want to own this little beasty. The Kayfun Prime didn't interest me, this one truly does.
