I now own four clones and seven sets of panels and six boros and two insiders (both decks). I had an authentic. But WTF. Clones are so good I'm not spending on authentics anymore. The billet craze is dying down. I sold my authentic for full RRP. Now you can get them for as little as 160 US (was just offered one). And the clones are going cheap second hand as well.

The dyed in the wool billet box boys will keep theirs and likely pick up even more. A lot of people jumped on the bandwagon but found they wanted a stronger heavier vape. For those of us that MTL the billets are going nowhere, lol. I use .7 ohm nautilus and insiders only. Now they have a clone A tank - these will take tobeco super tank coils! So the guys wanting more cloud may get on to them - but the battery life sucks when you vape too high.

I see people jumping on squonks as well. I like my squonks - don't get me wrong - but they are messy. And hassle to fill with the adapter - you are not taking a bottle out but the fill process is still a pita for me. So I generally billet although I use my mini tanks with kabukis as well and my nautilus 2s on occasion. And my hurry jr. and my evl reaper ... well I have too many devices. But I'll still stockpile any billet I can get in trade!

I admit, I thought the BB would be my answer for the near perfect setup, but that hasn't been the case though, for me it doesn't matter what I use, I get leaking, Exocert, Insider, Kanger subtank RTA head, and even when using nautilus coils, it is worse with the rebuildables, and I have tons of builds and wicks and doesn't make much difference. Ordered spare boro tanks, thinking that could be the problem, but tried 3 different ones and still the same.

Wish I could have the love for them as some people, but I hate shit that leaks, and I'm sure no inexperienced builder either, used the Kanger subtanks for years, so know how they like to be wicked, and love the flavor from the exocet, I will keep trying with them for now, but think they will probably out of rotation in time, sure glad I only got the clone and not paid big bugs for the real thing.

I am still using 1 of the 2 I have, just because it is a compact mod, which I like for when I am travelling back home for the weekend.

Sry to hear your billets leak. I use the nautilus bridge with .7 ohm coil. I used to get some condensation so I now have condensation plugs and no issues at all. If you have an extra DNA billet I would trade you a very nice Rage series box mod custom for it, lol.

Just got some 0.7ohm coils a few weeks back, and they have given the least problem, only seems to be when I chain vape with them, I get some leaking.

I did get some condensation plugs too, but not been using them, as they hard plastic, so PITA when want to refill, as have to lossen tank from the top, so can then get the plug out, then can open to fill.

I'm not quite given up on them yet, as do really want them to work good, just not got much hope as everything seems to leak at some point with it.

File those plugs down a bit from the top. Then they are easy to remove ... plugs make a big difference. It is not leaks but condensation that you get.

Been away from the forum a long time, always loved the way the billet box looked. Well now I wait for mine to be delivered from China, placed my order today with an extra tank ,insider, and exocet.
Oh and ordered a pulse 24 for my drone:)

Crazy seeing some still up 12 hours after they got released
I tend to think only the die hard "authentic" people are buying them now. People like me have seen the reviews of people who have authentics and now own a clone say there really is no difference so people are opting for the clones.

they will still have their loyal clientele but for people who just want to try one will opt for the clone.

they are off line now. I have a funny suspicion that they are releasing them and pulling them off line without being sold out. they are still trying to drive the demand by cutting the supply. I'm sure i'm not the only one that thinks that. it makes them "rare" but in the end that is what drove people towards the clone. I guess who ever is saving up to get an authentic can now purchase one.

Hello all, I have a question..
Using the .5 Kanger coils, what's the air flow like on the SKX BB compared to a Kanger subtank?

I thought 40 watts wasn't enough?

Glad you picked it from him in all seriousness. Great mod! Enjoy!

I thought so too, but I was preparing for a lower wattage device and closing down the air flow, so now i'm vaping at 34w so 40w is more than enough.

They rode the wave and they are outstanding all-in-one devices which is why so many ppl swear by them but yeah, for the money a clone works perfectly.

Eventually the hoopla will die down. It has already started, in fact. If I had a couple hundred to spare (haaa!!! Ha ha ha ha!!) I'd get a real one but meh ...don't really need it.

I just got an authentic from Dre on here. It took me a while to buy into trying a BB. But, I'm a believer. This thing is great. It's almost as small and light as an Aspire Plato and certainly built better.

On a related matter, what kind of coil are you guys using in the exocet? Right now I'm running a 2.5mm spaced coil of 26 gauge Kanthal with 8 wraps at about 1.0 ohm. This setup running at about 28 watts seems pretty good. But, I'm curious what others are using to get the best flavor.

Anyone have a authentic billet interested in a blk/red, tip/button combo? Bought them for my sxk but they sent me the wrong connection type tip.

This may have already been asked, but I can't find it.

Is the drip tip adapter for the SXK threaded the same as the authentic?

Thanks,
Chris

Sadly. Though I find regular 510 tips work just fine.

On another line of thought, I am so glad I bought the MF Billet Bridge for the EUC Vaporesso coils. They last (vaping from the same coil almost constantly) about 3 weeks and they are cheap. Perfect vape for me.

Well, I have a green SXK DNA60 coming from 3F along with a couple tanks and exocet clones. Hopefully it works as well as the original.

It looks like most folks have the DNA40 or the SXK 70 watt devices. Anyone already have one of the DNA60 boxes?

Received mine yesterday from fasttech. Unfortunately my exocet came with a stripped negative post.. good thing I ordered the bb with the insider. I also ordered the tank they have not knowing it is only for aspire heads:/

I used ss Kanger heads last night while I built the insider and they seemed to work well. And while my insider is wicking good and has the airflow I like (using the larger chimney) , for some reason it isn't doing temp control. I am using ss 316l spaced clapton. A build I'm familiar with and use in my pulse 22 on top of the drone. I've checked all the connections and everything seems right.

So I am going to get the charging board hooked up tonight and load my profiles in escribe and rotate the screen. Hopefully that'll solve my issues.

Beyond that build quality of the mod itself is good. I have some side to side play on the battery door, and you do really need a piece of tape on the battery to get it out.

Make sure you get a good base reading for the coil. Mine gives me a hard time every now and then, too. Once I get a good base reading I lock my resistance in so I don't have to worry about it changing when I turn the mod off and on.

I don't usually use the lock feature on my DNA devices but I tried it still displays off when I try the temp mode. I rewicked and let the mod get to room temperature checked the tightness of the coil leads and reinstalled everything. Locked the resistance and same issue.

I just got it working again lol. I went to power mode locked it, held up down and turned the temp off. Then turned it back on and now it's working. :) Still need to flip the screen it bugs me every time I look at it. Anyone have the stock firmware from an authentic billet box? 60w

Dang it missed out on bb in the hardware for sale:/ I need one for a buddy of mine. He tried ordering one from efun, they had it on sell for 65. But they cancelled his order said it was sold out. It was a dober 75w

the only two 70W are the purple and black which is in pre-order. I personally would get the DNA unless I get the 70w for dirt cheap.

I escribed the screen to proper orientation. No need to go above 35w although it can go to 60w. All and all a great learning experience. On to the next one. I won't be selling this one. I hacked it up pretty good.

I scored a sxk 75 in black from the person that had the listing I mentioned before. Messaged him and asked if he would sell any other bb's he had. Worked out , it'll ship out today:)

Can't remember if anyone has mentioned this, but does anyone know what orings fit the SXK exocet clones? And who sells good ones?

Thanks,
Chris

ETA: I think the two clones I just got from 3FVape aren't SXK. I think they are yftk. They are the ones with the crappy o-rings. They seem to be all kinds of crappy. Anyone know where to get actual SXK exocet clones?

I bought one from Toolman Texas last week. It’s my first foray into coil building. We’ll see how that all goes.
