Hey all, im using a rx200 and its just big to pack around when im out or even at work.
A friend let me use is coolfire 4 tc 100 and im really digging the size but not the battery life.
I work 10 hour shift and vape around 80 watts and want to know whats a good mod i can use away from the house thats smaller than the rx but can be pocketed better last 10 hours or at least be able to charge on the fly.
Thanks in advance

I just saw the battlestar....is the size smaller on one vs the other? Also the quality?

I believe the Battlestar is larger. The Alien is about the smallest 2 18650 battery mod currently available. The Aspire Archon might be another small solution, but I have no idea of size in relation to the Alien.

They are designed different but it's say they are pretty close in size overall. the battle star is fatter but has less width. they are about the same height

If you could bring a charger and an extra battery to work, you could use the 18650 version of the Cool Fire 4, think it tops out at 75W though

Any of you seen the eleaf pico? Just trying to get the best thing for me. I've researched the alien and battlestar and from what i can tell the difference is really the form and appearance.

Pico is a great starter mod for sure. But it's a single battery mod. The alien and Battlestar are dual

I have both the Pico and the Alien. Vaping at 40 watts on the Pico I can get about 8 Hours on it, I use the Alien at about 60 wats and get around a day and a half battery life.

So I would lean towards the Alien. Have not used a Battlestar so can.
Not give you a good opinion on that.

Ps. I do chain vape when I have the time

I agree, I vape at 42 on Pico and Alien still new so right now I have it set at 52. That is liable to change. I use Pico for work since it is perfect size for me to carry around. Battery last close to 8 hours and I vape a lot during work.

How about the new eLeaf Pico Dual- that takes 2 batteries and looks very small
http://www.istick.org/eleaf-istick-pico-dual-tc200w-box-mod.html
or the asMODus Minikin 2 180w
http://www.asmodus.com/asMODus-Minikin-2-180W-p/asmodus-minikin-2-180-touch.htm
or the asModus Minikin Boost

Dual batteries are nice, I have the Yosta Livepor 160w 2 battery and the battery life is all day. I am looking to get a few more to my collection and really like the ones I posted here for the future,I just would like something a little smaller than the Yosta.

I have a pico. Great mod with no complaints. However at 40 watts, i have to put my cell on my charger every night.

You could order a single cell mod and an extra cell or two. Buy a nitecore charger and you could have several charged cells with you all day. If mod size is what your after.

I do second the alien though. 2 of my family members have them and they are great. My pico is definitely smaller and lighter though.

Smok Alien
Small. Dual 18650 batts. Passthrough balanced charging.

LG HG2 batteries are tough to beat for all day vaping.
I agree on the Alien 220 which is equal to the G-Priv in my experience with both but LG HG2s are last generation 20 amp garbage. 3,000mAH...the Sony VTC5As are 2,600mAH and 25 amps all day baby. I found the "doo doo browns" aka HG2s get warm and just dont cut it. Why not use something like VTC5As even on a triple or quadruple 18650 mod? They have better performance and lasting voltage. Definitely dont suggest 20 amp batteries for a dual battery mod. Unless you still use the original Aspire Cleito tank, they are not at all worth it. 10 bucks for them vs $13.25 a pair of VTC5A s at liionwholesale.com. they give all day vaping as well. I dont get why people still buy HG2s after checking mooch's charts. 2,600mAH is a lot and they're better. But the Marshall G320 mod stand alone mod is the same price as the Alien if you want that kind of power. But yes Smok Alien 220, gpriv 220 and The marshall g320 are great mods.

The newer Pico's with the brass accents are pretty sweet. If I had to choose a single 18650 device I would still take the Joyetech Evic Vtwo mini. The kits are basically the same price, I'm just not a fan of the Melo 3 tank and the Evic V2 has some nice firmware upgrades available. I would take the Alien also just for the battery life from a dual 18650 device.

battery life? if you only vape 120 watts or less the sony's are useless pretty much as you don't need the extra amp limit and you give up battery life (22.2kw/h vs 19.24kw/h) so about 10% more battery life from them.

I use the Sony VTC5a in my mechs and triple mods. it's a great battery but there isn't' an end all be all battery. it depends on what device you use and how many watts you use or for mechs how low you build.

I just got in 6 VTC5a batts form liionwholesale yesterday. a set of 4 for my quad battery mods and a set of 2 for my mechs. In my regulated dual mods i use mostly samsung 30q and LG HG2 batts for the extra life. In my RDTA box i vape it at 100 watts so why would i give up the extra battery life? Vaping has a lot of variety, the best product depends on the user and what they need.

Hg2s get hot and I vape V8t10s at 175W sometimes. My mod says im pulling wa@y more than 20 amps on a dual box mod like the gpriv unless i use HB4s or HB6s

I need to move on from 20 amp bstteries. But we all have different styles of vaping.

Using a TFV8 and Sense Blazer 200 tank as my primary combo now is going to need more. 400mAH is nothing to call a sacrifice when the voltage and power lasts so long and thats not even the amperage Im thinking about for recommendations for all. VTC6s are a few bucks more costly but are also 20amp 3,000mAH batteries with better voltage

what your mod says isn't what the batteries are pulling. at 175 watts you would be overstressing your 20 amp batteries for sure (23.6 amps) resistance doesn't matter in this case for battery amp draw.

If you are vaping 175 watts all the time your batteries are getting warm because you are running too man amps in them. You would be much better off with the VTC5a or using a triple battery mod where you can safely vape at 175 using 20 amp batteries and get really good battery life (33.3kw/h)

I made this video to explain it all. I'd suggest taking a look at it to understand battery safety a little better

Ah.... That's why. You see I stay well within my range at 62.5-63.5 watts. On the Baby beast no less. Every vaper vapes differently, thank God.

Happy vaping and I hope you get better batteries. :vino:

Ok I don't care if they say the charging board works or not..Don't use it just buy 2 extra batteries and a plastic case. Throw it in your lunch bag or whatever. Charge them at home on a good charger.

Hi rchmx-
I don't know if the Yosta Livepor has balanced charging? I always use an external battery charger with all my dual battery mods, so I am not sure on that.
I have had this mod since January and have used it daily with no problems, except the door(sleeve) but just got a new sleeve from FT and everything is great- I only vape using power mode as well. I found this review-
http://cheapvaping.deals/yosta-livepor-160-mod
@SirRichardRear (AnthonyVapes) has a review on this mod and could probably answer your question about balanced charging..

Thanks Snap. According to a post from a review on Youtube, this mod does have balanced charging. Seems like a really nice option for a low cost dual 18650 mod.

Yes I have been using this for many months- very lightweight and because this mod was so affordable, it has become more of a beater mod when I am to afraid to take my more expensive mods, like my stabwoods! Fasttech carries the other color sleeves so you can change out the color for not a lot of money! The Camo looks great on mine and I have the White sleeve also, but also blue, red, tan!

FastTech may be having a sale for Labor Day usually 10% - 15% off

I picked up 5 of the all black from Health Cabin (I have a little vape business in central Mexico). They're running a 20% off coupon atm, so got them for about $25 each. Can't beat that, helps me keep my prices low (vape stuff is expensive in Mexico!).

Wow sounds like a great deal! Hope you like the Yosta as much as I like mine!
