I didn't boil..I soaked them in hot water..I hate to throw away 10 new coils. Have you or anyone heard of bad coils coming out of China..knock offs I guess from the Real Smok coils?

Nope there is no way if there was machine oil on these coils then it spread saturated the cotton etc no boiling will get it out..
contact seller get a refund then clean that tank really well you can use dawn etc or many things just to make sure.. It is possible as well that there was some machine oil in the tank at the bottom once you unscrewed that coil and replaced it .. It spread.. This is the more plausible cause..

Did they even have a scratch off to check authenticity? If they are fakes (quite probable) you may be able to get your money back through PayPal for an eBay purchase.

I just checked boxes the Baby Beast coils have scratch offs but the Cloud beast doesn't have scratch offs on the back of the box. Ill give ebay a call tomorow.I need to pull up the purchase imfo to see..the ebay site probaby didnt have the word AUTHENTIC in it's wording. I need to pay closer attention i guess..thanks for reply

I just returned 2 TFV12 Tanks and 2 packs of coils to VapeNW. The tank and the coils were absolutely "lousy" with machine oil. I thoroughly cleaned the tank, put the first coil from the box in there, loaded tank with liquid and proceeded to cough and get physically ill. Nausea the following morning. This is SMOK's issue and fault. You cannot vape a coil that has been contaminated with machine oil. Vape NW was cool and took the stuff back but SMOK needs a nice little lawsuit about now to get the point across they can't be throwing this crap out on the market.

That's why I'm leery of buying anything from China. Not only does everything take a long time to get here (usually 2-4 weeks in my experience) due to US Customs having their thumbs up their fat cracks, I've also had a few "bad experiences" with Chinese dealers.

This is exactly why i dont buy smok junk anymore. I know I always come off as a hater but people need to know. The 1st time i tasted a bad smok coil i thought it was just me but the next day i went home and dissected a new coil from the same pack if memory serves they were x4s. You cant see the oil till you wipe the wire with a white cloth and alcohol. Neverending black and grey residue come off. Then you know what your breathing. If you think smok coils taste good youve never built your own.

Also, theres only a couple of ways to keep this wire from corroding while being transported across the salty pacific. Seal it and use descicant packs to absorb the moisture or guess what? Coat it in oil!

You bought them off eBay @TeriT so there is what the most probable problem since they are probably not authentic. Just my opinion remember.

I wouldnt of bought them from ebay. I usually poke 2 small safety pin holes in each of the cotton slots.
