DIY menthol crystals flavor

Hi all
I'm about to prepare my own menthol flavoring, by dissolving some menthol crystals in PG - I want to achieve the most powerful, brutal menthol flavoring :)
Doubt: being the crystal a solid form of mint oil, as I understand it, does that mean the resulting flavor concentrate will contain some oil?
Thanks for any hints

Nah, you're good to go. Even if it somehow did have a trace amount of oil, it wouldn't be the type of oil you have to be worried about in regards to 'popcorn lung'.

As I'm sure you are already aware, none of the flavorings we use have been proven to be completely safe for inhalation, however, folks have been using menthol created from the same form as you are using for quite some time without incident. That said, you seem to suggest using menthol in an extreme manner so you may be charting new territory ... use at your own risk, lol. :)

I'm not a menthol user, but crystals have been available from vape suppliers as long as I can remember. Folks would dissolve as much of them as possible in PG and then use the resulting menthol flavoring. Can't ever remember anyone having any reported problems other than making their juice cold. Doubt you're getting any more extreme than others have tried.

I've been using commercial menthol concentrates for years now (mainly FA, inawera, TPA), but I find them all a bit on the weak side these days.
I'd like to make something with more bite than those, like the old inawera from some years ago - extremely powerful.
Not really uncharted territory, anyway

I've got the crystals and made the concentrate. So far, meh.
Filled up 80% of a 30ml bottle with not-very-well-crushed crystals, topped with PG, warm bath to dissolve the crystals. Decent, yet not that much powerful.
Now I'm adding more crystals to that concentrate, a bit at the time, to achieve a saturated solution.
Let's see how that turns out...
Thanks for your support

Actually not. Or should I say not yet, perhaps

It's not so much menthol, as "COLD"
It will almost stop your inhale if mixed to strong..... be careful.
I added some PG to some in a separate bottle to make a 50/50 bottle of it, just to make it easier to work with,
It doesn't have a menthol taste, just "cold", but added to a menthol ... wow what a kick

Koolada, Polar Ice, only a drop or two per 10ml. either are a lot better than Medicine tasting Menthol, cool and refreshing without that heavy Menthol taste.

I do like the menthol taste, but will definitely try koolada or polar ice at my earliest opportunity thanks

I use FW menthol flavoring at 8% and it's just right for me. Once I used 10% and it was just too strong. I don't know what the % of crystals was used, but it's damn sure potent.

It's also diluted in alcohol first, then mixed with PG.
