I might have to try that; just checked at BCF and it doesn't have the "caution" background, so apparently diketone-free. TFA's whipped cream is ok, but really really light.

No it has no known bad stuff and is pretty darned good.
think I have 3 big bottles in the freezer.

It's a new day. I think my taste buds are coming back around, I could actually taste something in a RY4 this morning that was soap yesterday.
Moving forward with a Nat 2 tank 1.8 coils, some 50/50 at 12 mg. Can't go back to cigs.

Just wanted to give a big THANKS to all here on the forum. If not for your help and most importantly, encouragement I would have thrown it at the wall.

Glad to hear you can taste better today I am sitting here drinking some fresh brewed coffee and thought I have seen many suggest that smelling coffee grinds helps with vapers tongue. Never tried it so I can't say if it works. Out of curiosity what did you try yesterday?

Yes I did, 3-4 big whiffs a couple times, I ate a some pickles, scrubbed the tongue, and hit it with some Listerine. I've been on the water pretty hard the whole time. Going to pick up a few lemons at the store today. Plus I slowed down the vape.

I found that Fresh Pineapple worked purely by chance as it just smelled so good I ate a few pieces and when I hit my Vape I was like Oh Wow. Whatever works for you is what is best.

A little lemon Sorbet (Sherbet) is also a good Palate cleanser.

There are few things in the world that smell as good as freshly ground coffee. We have lots of roastery shops in this country and I walk in, sniff for a few minutes, then walk out very happy.

Fucking vaping is work...a lot more than cigs ever were. This shit better be worth it.

The saga continues...bought the Nautilus 2 tank and some 50/50 12 mg juice. Running the 1.8 coil at about 13-14 watts. Love the throat hit, love the style but...flavor seems very muted. I think the increase in nic would be apart of that. Can't sub-ohm the 12mg to compare so I put in some good tasting 30PG/70VG 6mg and of course I lost the good throat hit as expected but, flavor still seems muted.
I'm going down the DIY rabbit hole next and think I can tailor the juice to fit the tank but...the hole after that is RTA.
I know it's all so subjective...Just thought I would get better flavor, not worse.

Not read the whole thread, yet. Have you tried an unflavored "base" juice yet? That is to say you only have nicotine, pg, vg in the juice mix. I sometimes get fits where all I can do is vape unflavored base. Got no huge sense of taste yet I'm particular. So, the unflavored helps me when switching out on flavors.

It lets me vape and only get a subtle sweetness from the vg, nothing to write Dixie sugar over but it's a little sweet. That helps draw out any flavors left over in your lungs, don't laugh, some flavors do "hang on" in your lungs. If you've not tried the unflavored, might be a way to see if you can reconcile out.

Besides that I use unflavored to "cut" flavors, like @Rossum does. For example I'm currently using roughly 10% RY4 flavor in a 10ml bottle. The rest is unflavored base. This can save you on having to buy flavors, or flavored juices already mixed up. Make your juice go longer. :) Yep, I'm cheap. :)

I dunno about the Nautilus 2, but I completely hated the original Nautilus; it changed the flavor to something I didn't even recognize.

If you want good flavor, then you need an RDA, preferably one that has a tight draw, so you're not diluting the flavor with a lot of air. And you may need ejuice with a higher-than-normal percentage of flavoring, if you're having trouble getting good flavor from "standard" mixes. It took me until I'd been smoke-free for almost 2 yrs before I could even START reducing my flavoring down from 31%, and after 3 yrs smoke-free, i still use a bit over 25% flavoring -- and I use an RDA with arguably the most saturated flavor possible. Some people's tastebuds are more damaged than others, and take much longer to even begin recuperating. It's necessary to recognize if this is the case, and not throw out the baby with the bathwater -- vaping absolutely works, but one of the BEST things about it is how minutely it can be customized for one's own personal needs. It is NOT one size fits all, never has been, and never will be.

No, my order hasn't arrived yet. Still looking at the top of the DIY hole. Most of the store bought stuff just doesn't seem good to me, low on flavor. I found a good RY4 locally and I have some good DIY made by someone else, both have very good flavor in comparison. I'm past the vapors tongue.

That's kind of what I thought as well. So that's why I question myself (and others here), that maybe I should start making my juice towards something better...like an RDA or RTA

I use the Nautilus 2 with the triton 2 mini clapton coils (1.8). I also diy and use flavor %'s based on my MTL. The clapton coils seem to bring out the flavors. Of course a Kayfun 5 would be better but I don't have time to build or the desire to.

Thanks, knew the triton mini fit but didn't know they were claptons.

An RDA is just not going to be very practical at work. Maybe for home.
Don't really mind the throwing money at it part, haven't bought cigs in a month!!!

If/when you get to wanting an RDA I can suggest a Chinese made clone of a NaRda (They are often called ChiNaRda/s). It does real well even if you do only use it for single coil builds. Also, the Goon clones on Fast Tech seem to do well for me. Enjoying a glass capped Velocity V2 clone today, being klutzy was thinking I would put vaping bands on it, no bands but I've got spare O-ings which serve the purpose. :)
