tried it. It wicks juice well and does not burn (literally!) but it was very hard to wick in a coil.

I get the end damp and twist it to help it poke through a little easier.

just an fyi... the 3mm wick needs a 7/64 drill bit shaft up to a 2.95 mm drill bit shaft...depends on your eliquid, how cozy you want your coil to hug the wick...cut an end at a 45 degree angle to give it a syringe type point and it threads with absolutely no problems...also very steep bends are not good for the wick...

the 2.5 mm wick needs a 5/64 size down to 1/16 (not recommended by me)...and cut the wick at the same 45 degree point and you are good to go...

there are 2 very informative videos by jeremy himself, on the rbasupplies web site and he also posted them on thread here somewhere...

also, after 5 high temperature torchings in 5 months , the wick started to show signs of breaking down, so i replaced it...

to date i am very impressed with the wick...

as a side note...nicotickets gravity eliquid stayed on the wick for about 3 mils of another juice before all traces of gravity were gone...
that has never happened to me when using a dripper and vaping through the remnants...just an fyi side note that it may happen with others...

the wick is not perfect, by any means but, it works well for how and what i vape...sure beats changing cotton out constantly, and doesnt burn...

did i mention, im impressed by this wick...use it in a russian 91%, origin dripper, magma and veritas drippers

I love the stuff. I'm currently giving the cellucotton a good try. I like that, too, but nothing beats the un-burnability of READYxWICK. That wick lasts forever. As long as you dry-burn your coil and torch your wick, you can keep going just about forever and hardly have to worry about carbon-flavored juice.

I love it too!
Another good thing that has not been mentioned is there is no break-in needed.
No taste at all for the very beginning.:p

I love Readyxwick especially in a genny. Wicks great, much better taste than mesh, easier to build with, and lasts a LONG time. I've had the same wicks in my AC9 and RSST for a couple of months now and they are still going strong. I take them out every few tanks, torch it, and the wick is like new. It's not cheap, but considering the performance and longevity, I'm sold on the stuff.

Wicking material is so individual preference based (example above), that what one loves another hates .

Readyxwick is my first choice on everything followed by Rayon. I only use
CelluCotton rayon if I have a leaky atomizer.

I won some samples of this stuff but haven't tried it yet. Anyone use this in high powered drippers or tank builds? 50w -100w?

Yea, works great.
I've got it in a Tohb Atty clone (.21) on a 200W Beast Box and it is my ADV.
I'm about to rebuild my Dark Horse with it around .12, I'll let you know how that goes.

Apparently it has some kind of military application as high-temp wire insulation for some kind of critical machinery. Something like that.

Thanks Jeremy . Yes, I was doing some reading and understand a little better now. It's not readywixx not wanting to ship internationally it's the government. At first it was just silly to me because it was wick.

Yeah, it's just that READYxWICK is made from this Nextel XC-116 and XC-132 stuff that's restricted due to sensitive military applications. Can't have villainous Canadians getting their hands on it! My god, who knows what might happen.

so I have a question about coils for readyxwick. is it possible to use the tight standard/micro coil builds or does it need to be a loose coil build similar to what MoFasterMo posted? I have been looking for videos and/or pictures on how exactly to wick this in either an RDA or a tank, but have come up with nothing so far. Any help in the form of picture and videos is greatly appreciated!

If you go to RBA Supplies website Jeremy gives demonstrations on how to use your readyxwick. There are other vids and pics on the site as well. Basically, you can wick it two ways: build your coil first then run the readyx through it (that would be a tight coil) or wrap your coil around your readyxwick (that would be a looser coil). But watch his vids because there's info you need to know about sizing, etc.

Thanks! saw the vids, and now that makes a bit more sense. I just have to figure out how to rest the wick in the juice well of my RDAs ( I have a Tobh and a Freakshow I wanna test this out on). I've seen it where its just about a 1" piece of wick in either of the coils and they just dip down into the juice well, and others where its wrapped and stuffed into the juice well. At this point, I guess I'm looking for pictures of how people have done this. Love this forum!

Seems plain old silica wick holds up rather well.

A blast from the past.

The rayon works well but it will burn.

One simple way is to shape it like the letter 'C'. More like a flat looking C so that the bottom of the C is resting in the well. You don't want to bend it too much and choke off the inside channel. Sometimes I take a syringe, insert it into the channel and inject the juice. You can see it flow right through the middle to the other end. One of my weird, little thrills:rolleyes:
