**Full disclosure, contains baddies for those concerned**

Been a minute since I've posted anything new for recipes but I'm quite happy with this one. Now, this is with basically zero steep time other than some hot water bath action. I literally made this earlier today and I was so surprised how well it turned out "fresh" that I wanted to share. Been stuck on straight fruit mixes for far too long and needed a change of pace.

Capella Vanilla Custard V1: 9.5% (don't care for v2 so I won't even try)
Inawera Raspberry: 0.5% (go light on this one, if anything, less is more)
Inawera Biscuit: 1%
FlavourArt Vanilla Classic: 1%
FlavourArt Vienna Cream: 1%

I tend to mix everything 20pg/80vg out of habit if anything else, so that's the only way I've tried this. I did try something like this maybe 6 months ago and I had the INW Rasp at 1% and that's really all I could taste, so again less is more for that one!

As good as this is fresh it should be pretty fantastic once a person gives it time to actually steep.

Enjoy! I know I am :)

Sounds like a winner. Thank for sharing. BTW, I have FA Raspberry, how do you think they compare?

My pleasure buddy! Tbh the INW Raspberry is like a sweet candied raspberry when its used at this percentage. I never have really cared too much for the FA raspberry because it tastes too real if that makes sense. I prefer the candied version that INW has nailed, and just for the record I don't really like real raspberries all that much lol. But if you do chose to use the FA I wouldn't go over 1%, probably even leave it at .5% because it is one of the stronger FA offerings as far as I recall.

Thanks. I like FA Raspberry alright. I've used it in a couple of recipes. I still haven't managed to get my hands on any INW Biscuit, can I assume you're using it to get a bit of a buttery taste? If so I guess I could sub CAP Golden Butter at a small percentage, or just omit it all together.

That's exactly why I use the biscuit, it gives it a nice flaky buttery finish. What I would maybe suggest as an alternative if you got it would be like .5% FA Cookie and like 1%-1.5% golden butter, that actually sounds pretty tasty lol :)

Thanks, that's kinda what I thought. I use FA Cookie a lot. I mixed 840ml of juice the other night, and all except 240ml of it had some in it. I gotta get some Biscuit just to try it since I see it in so many recipes now. I also really need to get some more CAP Simply Vanilla, and NY Cheesecake as I only have about 50ml of Golden Custard left, and I'm starting to panic.:(
I'm gonna try to mix a small batch of the Raspberry Custard sometime this week, I'll let you know how it turns out.

Gonna try this when I get home but with fa raspberry since it's what I have...
I would probably go .25 on the fa since it's also pretty dominant, then take it from there.
Thanks again for the heads up!

Right on, ya the biscuit has been a revelation for real. I was surprised how much I enjoy it in basically any dessert type recipe I make. Speaking of Golden Custard, I need to get me a batch of that together real soon. I got way to stuck on fruit stuff that I forgot how much I missed the custards!

Good call there, I remember it being a pretty damn strong flavor as well. I used it very little in a few recipes a long time ago and it way overpowered some of the things I came up with at the time

I use FA Raspberry at 1% in a Lemon Raspberry Cheesecake recipe, and it's pretty bold, but not overpowering. It does seem to mellow some with steeping. BTW, Golden Custard is still my all time favorite stand alone custard and is the standard for comparison for me.:):ejuice:

If this is even close to the quality of your Golden Custard I'll be very happy!
I just got my Raspberry Cheesecake recipe worked out so a custard would be nice, too.

I'm not going to lie, fresh this is really good! I have no idea how it will steep out but I have high hopes!
I would think with all that Vanilla Custard it would definitely benefit from a good, 2-3 week steep, but sometimes I think the combination of the other flavors may shorten it up a bit.

The last bit of mine is probably 4 months old now, so delicious! I have to force myself not to vape it too often until I can make more. I usually mix it 240ml at a time.

Totally agree there, I can't really see it getting "worse", maybe the candy raspberry will blend in a little better over time but I'm really digging the aftertaste its leaving in my mouth while its fresh. I get plenty of buttery custard on the inhale and all sweet raspberry on the exhale so far

Thanks Deeks! I got this one in my to be mixed list. I'll have to use FA Raspberry since I don't have the INW at the moment. I just love your Deeks'berry Custard. I get nervous if I don't have 100 ml in the steep closet... Note to self, need to try the Golden Custard since I have the flavors now...

Thanks Deeks, adding to the long list .. may have to bump it up .. looks tasty..

Very tasty indeed! This is one I will be mixing by the 250ml, may actually get a properly steeped sample that way lol. My 50 ml sampler is already dead bah!

Made it- Vaped it.
Excellent vape, had to dial down to 40 watts bc throat hit was a bit strong at 45 w/ 3mg/ml NIC & made me cough Also noticed that it tastes best on first hit when the tank is cool.
I imagine this will be even better after a little nap, if it lasts that long! Nice creamy mouth feel, raspberry is a bit too subtle for my taste but it's delicious anyway.
Thanks for this one.

Mixed this recipe as posted, no substitutes used, ratio used was 70VG/30PG, I left it for 2 weeks and it's delicious, a smooth all day vape, I never get tired of it. Deek's Rasperry Custard recipe is a winner for me.

I finally got around to making it & I must say it's really good.
At nine days now, it's better than it was as a shake & vape, probably because I like the custard to steep & the biscuit to calm down a little.
Very nice!:)

I'm now sampling another batch I just made 2 weeks ago. I really liked the original recipe I made in March, but the FA raspberry did fade a little after 3-4 weeks.
I upped it to 1% & left everything else alone. After two weeks on the revision I'm liking it even better. :)

Thanks, Deek!

I made this a few days ago {100% VG base} with 1.5% Flavour Art Raspberry as a substitute & added 1% TFA Sweetener. DAMN! This is one of the best liquids I have ever mixed. I wanted it sweet and it sure is. Out of this world good, and I'm sure the custard note will get even better with time. Thanks, Deeks; much, much appreciated. :inlove:

@Deeks - I'm really enjoying the Deeksberry with FA Cookie and haven't tried it with Inawera biscuit yet. Have you made the Rasberry Custard with Cookie instead of Biscuit? If so, what are your thoughts on that idea?

Thanks

I actually havent but I like the idea! Id go with .5% on the cookie personally. I think what happened is I got on a biscuit kick right about the time I made this raspberry custard and then everything bakery style ended up with that in it lol.

@Deeks - ha - makes sense. I'll give it a shot and let you know. The freshness of the strawberry in the Deeksberry is right on point!

Thank you

I got an 8 day steep on a batch right now. It's the third time I've made it & the second time upping the INW Raspberry to 1% & adding .5% FA Berryl.
Good stuff!
