So im getting the feeling were headed down a path of little options, of which will be extremely expensive and as unfun as possible. Is now the time to buy a few mods, and stock up like a prepper on juices with flavor?

Just curious, id gladly spend some serious money to ensure i have flavored juice and some back up mods and tons of coils in case the 2018 deadline turns the vape market into "tobacco flavored or menthol? that will be $50 for 30ML" with juice options and vape mods options like a gas station circa 2007 (crappy pens that look like cigarettes)

Is it really going to be that bad or is this some kind of over reaction type deal? Reading the rules, i could maybe see some major players in the vape industry withstanding, perhaps with drastically reduced options...but i worry most about the vape juice. I dont want to end up having a $50 a week habit like with cigarettes. I LOVE the variety of flavors as well.

Is now the time to start a stockpile of coils, juices, and back up mods? I like just kicked cigarettes just over a month ago, i dont want to be tempted to return.

i have a small stockpile of nicotine
i have mods which i feel are fda proof in case they need repaired. PWM mods that can be easily self repaired or send to a modder all parts to them except the 510 are not strictly vape related so the fda can not stop the sale of things like switches buttons or even the chips since a PWM chip could be used for led lighting among other things
I have several rtas and extra parts for most pf them- even though i am still looking for the perfect rta/rdta
i dont feel vg or flavorings are gonna be seriously impacted if at all since they are used in so many industries
batteries are not going to be able to regulated since they are use din so many devices like laptops

I think it may get bad for a while a year maybe 2 but someone somehow will get the fda to see reason and things will get better after it gets worse. noone knows for sure the future, put I am confident I have enough things to keep me going for many years with only needing to replace some 18650s here and there restock my vg and flavorings

I began stockpiling February 2016 with 8/8 looming over my head. I wouldn't mind trading hardware for a few things I'd like.
Lord knows I have 16 gal of nic, 12 pg and 4 vg. I have plenty of flavors. I just need to put them in that juice database.
Andria, what's the name of that website again? You put all of your flavors in it and it tells you what you can make?

Beats me. I just use ecigvape.com's calculator.

Sounds like you need to start DIY. I started about 6 months ago and now have enough stock to have juice for years. Still stockpiling, but at least now we have a few more years!

My next project, after filing extended taxes and videos, is to learn DIY. I spoke to @AndriaD about this last year. She was most helpful. If I can recall the name of that website database, I'll be sure to let you know. Please see my new thread on "exempt" entities of the FDA Deeming Regs.

Not sure about a database, but I might have recommended this calculator: DIY E-Liquid Calculator Ten Flavors With Nicotine Plus PG/VG Adjusting, which stores recipes online. I've used it since my very beginning efforts with DIY, which were more combining pre-made juices than from-scratch; since it allows you to set a nic level and PG/VG ratio for EVERY SINGLE THING YOU ADD, it works great for either, or if you need to add WTA and want to take account of the "nic" level and 100% VG in the mix.
