Hi all, I am not sure why, but after I vape a lot my chest starts to get sore as if I had just worked out when I look down or move my upper body. It has been happening for the past few weeks and It is not a sharp pain or anything, just a little tightness. Any one else have this?? Or know what it is?

First: get to a doctor, vapers are not doctors.

Second: these symptoms are usually related to using too high of a nic level, drop down your nic and/or vape less.

Three: the above is only meant as a possible means of preventing the reported symptoms from recurring. Chest pain is no joke. Go see a doctor.

Can't disagree with the doctor thing.
However what has changed with your vaping in the past few weeks?
Certain flavorings in ejuice gives me various problems.
Vaping more? Different nic level?
Higher wattage?

If nothing changed YES on the doctor.

I had chest tightness from 80% and above with VG. As soon as I went down to 70%. It stopped. But, that's just me tho.

New tank, uped watts from 75 to 85, vaping a lot more and lower nicotine lever

I have been vaping a lot more lately and it kinda just feels like I am the slightest sore from a workout even though I am yet to vape today. I was chatting with my friend about it and he said maybe its just my chest getting use to the strain as its not a natural phenomenon for my lungs to fill with a lot of vapor a lot and I am just adjusting??

Here is what causes it for me:

Max VG, and vaping chain vape style.
Nic has NEVER given me a tightness in my chest. Vaping max VG does. SO I usually vape no higher than 80% VG.

I solved this by ensuring the wicks were soaked using a sqounker... all good now and never out of breath ..i also clean and wick coils every day . I vape way too much around 20ml a day on 80 vg 20pg blend. Also turn down the heat ..heat causes most issues like coughs and sore throat.

Im guessing its nicotine.
I have a 12mg nic juice that really helped me break my cig addiction and eased me into vaping (having a cig would make me sick after vaping this and thats what broke me)

Ive obviously moved to 6mg, but i sometimes fill up with it when i know ill have few opportunities to puff in a day. When i do puff it my chest tightens up noticeably. To the point where ive diluted it with another garbage flavor that was almost done (maybe its a 9mg nic mix?) as sort of a back up that ill probably end up chucking out without using.

Go a tier lower on nicotine. It might be your body telling you its had enough nicotine or its too strong. Everyone who vapes tells me that eventually you just keep needing to lower NIC as you vape so it might be your time to downgrade.

btw everything i vape is 70/30 or 80/20

Oh...one more thing...is it a specific flavor? Ive heard people developing allergies or allergies they didn't know they had coming out when using certain flavors.

As has ben stated already when it comes to chest tightness or pain go see a doctor.

Here we are just getting back into vaping to kick several decades of smoking. I've had chest tightness in the process. So in the process I've figured out what the issue was in my case. Airflow to control the temp, nic level to control bitter aftertaste and mild headaches. frequency, and the style I was using to hit my rig.

Coming off the ciggs I was chain vaping. So I cut that back to 2 - 4 vapes set it down for a few minutes before hitting it again. Nic level in my case was a biggy. in this process I have found one of the tastes in cigarettes that I didn't like was the nicotine bitter taste and aftertaste. So I switched from #6 to #3 level and at times cut those with 0 nic for a smother flavor. Then I worked a day or so dialing in the airflow. Finally set it somewhere around the half way point. That gets me a decent hit and cools the vape down to a comfortable level. Last but probably the biggest was the style I was using to hit the rig. I started with MTL. That worked ok but something was missing in the experience and it kept me chain vaping. I dried direct and that produced serious hacking and chest tightness. Yesterday was fantastic though. Some time during my morning coffee and vape session I came up with a hybrid way of hitting that works for me. I pull the vape in and hold it in my mouth for a split second and then draw it on in while transitioning to direct and don't over draw. That works for me without the coughing or the tightness. I get a good vape flavor that way and it produces a decent cloud if that matters.
