Pharaoh RTA Wicking

So I just received the velocity-style deck for my Pharaoh RTA and I'm wondering if anyone knows how to wick on it? There appears to be 2 holes on top of each feed slot so do I stick the cotton in there or does it just sit on top? Wicking was easy enough on the original deck (just cover the entire feed slot with cotton) but I'm not sure I'd be able to do that with these tiny holes on the velocity-style deck. Any advice on wicking this thing would be greatly appreciated!

If you watch the rip trippers review, he stuffs and folds the cotton into the channels. I've read that doing that causes dry hits so it's best to fill the channels but not stuff them with wick.

Just going by what I've heard others say, I don't own one.

I see your dilemma now, took a better look at your pics. I think nice & fluffy on top of the holes, doesn't make much sense trying top poke them through the tiny holes. A lot of peeps say you don't have to fill the wick holes.

I don't own that particular RDA, but I have some similar ones. I cut the cotton on mine just long enough to reach the hole and barely stick in there without being bunched up too tight. I also cut my wick at an angle to make it taper off at the ends so it's not too fluffy to lay a little bit in that hole. But basically, if you look at any of my rta's from the bottom of the deck, you wouldn't see any cotton sticking out; it is flush with the underside of the deck.

I don't know if that one is much different or not.

Thanks so much for the replies guys! I ended up just laying the cotton/letting it sit on top of the small holes and it seems to be working fine. The tank does appear to be leaking a little bit in the airflow channel and where the black part of the tank meets the silver part. However this has been going on for a couple weeks now (even on the single coil deck). If I grab the tank and pull it lightly, it seems to seperate a bit (which I didn't notice before and is probably not normal?) so that may be the cause of the leaking. I'll just play around with the juice flow control and amount of cotton when wicking and see if it fixes this :)

Yeah, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that's probably not supposed to do that. I'm sure another owner/reviewer will chime in shortly on it and maybe share some insight. Glad it's wicking for you though.

Can u take it apart & fit it over a socket so the 510 pin sits in it & putting another on top to protect it & gently tap with a small hammer?

this RTA is super finnicky with the wicking, it's either dry hit city or seepage. especially with the extra decks. I think thats why rip wicked it how he did. to prevent the leaks, but the issue is it's nothing but dry hits his was

Also I realize now that all the extra/moving parts like juice flow control and interchangeable decks really just creates more opportunities for malfunctions. I may just stick with the original single coil deck (as the dual coil on this gets a bit too warm for me and is a bit more troublesome to wick) until I find another good single or dual coil RTA. I'm open to suggestions if you guys know any decent tanks available now/within the next few months!

Definitely interested in it! I've also had my eye on the Kylin RTA for a while now but wasn't sure how it performed. What are you thoughts on RDTAs like the Medusa/Perseus/Limitless?

Love the medusa, limitless was just ok, don't have a perseus. My kylin should be arriving this week

That's for the input! I think it's down to the Exo, Medusa, or Kylin for me. Let me know your thoughts on the Kylin when you get a chance to try it!
Will do :)
