Caring for your eLiquid?

Hello!

I just got my first shipment from my juice store, and got to thinking about this.

I read somewhere that it is a good idea to store liquids in the fridge. Is that a good idea for long-term in plastic bottles? I got A LOT of juice here so it will take a while, and I only vape 2-3ml per day.

Also read on a little card that came in my package that I should shake my bottles once a day. Is that really necessary? I have A LOT of bottles... o_O
Can I get away with just shaking the crap out of them when I'm ready to use them? I only vape on one flavor at a time until the bottle is empty. OCD here is very real.

One more question- when I shake my stuff up, it makes a lot of bubbles. Is it ok to put it in my device with it bubbly or do I have to wait until the bubbles go away? I vape on an eGO AIO. (for now)

Hope you are having a good day <3

Most people store their liquid in a cupboard or drawer. Anywhere that's dark and dry. Your juice will last a couple years I believe.

I've never heard of putting them in the fridge but I don't think it would hurt. It will make them a little thicker and in return, harder for your coil to get saturated if you don't let them get to room temperature before filling your tank.

Shaking your bottles before you use them is just fine. I make my own eliquid and even then, I only shake them right after they're made and then right before I use them.

Don't worry about the bubbles. They don't hurt anything.

I keep all my juice bottles in a holder I bought online right on my end table. Been using them now that way for a year and it hasn't affected the juice at all. By the way, I also use an Ego AIO as one of two back up devices and absolutely love it for ease of use and for the price it's an awesome little unit. Plus, the colored LED's are pretty darn cool too.

The lights are fantastic :D Best $20 I've ever spent... I've only been vaping a few weeks and it's already paid itself off 5 times over.
I'm upgrading soon but like you, it'll be my backup. Actually, I might just use my new device at home and use my AIO when I go out to work or things.
What's that holder thing called?

Well that answers all my questions thoroughly. Thank you so much!
I think I'll pass on the fridge idea I read about. I had the same thoughts on thickness.
& I will stop daily shaking my 15 bottles now. Good riddance to that crap haha

On the other hand... if you store any nicotine for a "long-term stash"... freezer is best, and I keep the bottle that I'm currently using from, in the fridge -- light is nearly as bad for nicotine as exposure to air, so it's good to try and keep light and air to an absolute minimum, and the freezer's cold temps will also keep molecular action to a minimum, retarding oxidation. I'm currently using some nicotine I stored in the freezer in summer 2014, and it's perfectly clear, as good as the day I put it in there.

Most bought ejuice needs to sit a while maybe a couple of weeks or more to be at it's best flavor.

That is what is commonly referred to as steeping time. Look on the bottles to see if they put a birth date on them. When I do my DIY e-juices I keep them in a dark cabinet. The first two weeks, after mixing, I shake the crap out of them every other day. After that I just let them sit and then shake before use.
