As you know tracking overseas shipments can be frustrating.

Personally my vaping needs are few but recently I was tracking a shipment from Israel.

So I tried this site.

https://www.17track.net/en

Worked like a charm it did!

The main kicker is that you have to wait for the folks you ordered your stuff from to actually deliver it to the post office.

Which might take a few days to a week or two.

Then for the local post office to accept the package and ship it.

Which might take a few days to a week or two.

But once the package is officially in the system this seems to work great!

I like the site you mentioned UncleRJ, I used it for my FT order. Only thing is it didn't offer any more info than usps tracking did. Maybe because there was limited info available regardless of who was doing the tracking. I had both tracking sites opened up, 17track and usps side by side and updated them at the same time. They were within a min or so of each other.

I think most of the info I was looking for was during wait times for the item on the China side piddling around their post service and then lack of either tracker site suggesting it made it to a boat or plane. Suddenly got a notification that it landed stateside with a big gap in updates so I wasn't sure if it was still tumbling around Beijing or en route. It never did say, just poof from China to stateside.

Obviously, I don't know what you folks are ordering...maybe you just can't get it here from the states...

If it's something one can get here...why would you order it from overseas? Especially China? What a huge PITA just to save a few bucks. I see posts all the time from people ordering from the China sites...stuff you can order from anywhere here in the states and get it in a few days.

Makes no sense to me at all.

HOWEVER! If you can ONLY get it from there...please ignore my rant! :kickbutt:

really depends on how much you order. I have enough stuff coming I don't mind the wait most of the time and when buying large amounts of stuff that money really adds up. I've probably saved well over 1000 dollars in the past 6 months ordering from china. but if I only ordered stuff once or twice a year a few items i'd probably just pay the extra few bucks to get it faster personally.

I always use 17track when I order from e-aromashop in Poland... unfortunately, once the pkg leaves Poland, nada. I usually order "registered airmail", but once it leaves Poland, 17track knows nothing about it, and then USPS tracking never shows it at all... it just mysteriously shows up in my mailbox one day.

My last pkg, at some point the box was almost completely destroyed; there was sufficient pkging remaining to keep the bottle of shisha strawberry together with the packing list, but it was inside another box provided by the USPS, with a note from them regarding the destroyed pkging. I guess registered airmail means they play hackysack with it for a week.

Not in the US but in Canada, My vape budget is about 50$ a month (40$ USD), if I were to order from Canada or the US I wouldn't be able to afford all the stuff I have now.. Shipping isn't that much of a issue, sometimes it's slow yeah, sometimes I have to go to the post office to get a package that should have been delivered to my door but Shipping from FT usually costs me about 1.50$, shipping from most Canadian/US vendors to Canada is about 10$-15$ and when it comes from the US I almost always get dinged with import charges, from FT/China I don't since they label it as low value..

While I'd love to support Canadian Vendor or Even US ones over overseas ones it's just not an option for me if I want to keep up a little with trends...

I'm in Canada too. Vape hardware costs are higher here than in the US as is shipping. I have a B & M store not far from me that's pretty good and I use them every chance I can, but when the cost is ~40% less it's hard to justify. Then there's product selection too.
