Practice makes perfect, 26/32 n80 Fused claptons must produce some decent flavour already.
What u can do to bump it up some more is using thinner outerwrap wire, i'll suggest using 38g for 26g fused claptons.
Ur coil should ramp up/down quicker and produce a little more flavour than with the 32g outerwrap.

You want to learn good builds.. I suggest loosing the claptons..... learn to build a good coil using 1 piece of wire. At low watts... you get that figured out try 2 wires side by side.... learn to wick coils before learning to build self wicking coils.

For me the flavor is mostly in the diameter of the coil. 2mm, placed close to the air outlet. Yes, flavor get's slightly better when I upgrade to more complex wire but it pretty much tops out at Claptons. Anything beyond that in complexitiy only increases clouds. Maybe play around with different guages and materials used as the core & Wrap. I just found a super micro SS316 clapton 28/36, that is fantastic. Blew my previous Kanthal 24/30 out of the water. Instant ramp-up and dense flavor.

Gotta say if your still searching.... you ain't mastered anything.....

Imo fancy builds beyond simple twisted wire are about clouds massive juice consumption and max flavor.. but not about GOOD flavor.....

I hate the taste of EJuice. ... that is what I get from claptons and their like. Max flavor.

I don't really understand the last part of your reply, but personally i like the claptons much more than twisted flavor wise

Claptons give me more flavor... the flavor tastes just like drinking ejuice....yucky

The 3x30 twisted build I'm running right now. I get vapor with flavor.... yep there's the Virginia tobacco. .. there's the burley... there's the latakia. .. a hint of cherries and tropical fruits. Tastes like the pipe my gramps smoked.

Fused claptons are a great everyday build. I will second the earlier suggestion of using much smaller wire for your outer wraps. The biggest gauge for outer wires I would ever recommend would be 36g. If you already have the process down with 32g, order up some 36 or 38g and give it a go, it's a whole world of difference in performance as well as flavor. Cheers!

Speaking of smaller gauge Claptons, does anyone sell pre-made small gauged claptons? Lightning vapes is the only place I found the micro clapton I was referring to earlier. I'm guessing anything smaller might be so specialty that we have to build our own. I'd love to find a 28/38-40 clapton.

I'd suggest trying a parallel contact coil in the same ohm range of the clapton you are used to. I recently moved from a stainless clapton build in my Hadaly to a stainless parallel and the flavor is actually better. The coil actually lasts longer as well. The clapton is 28x3-36 stainless from Advanced Vape Supply in 2.5mm coil and 6 wraps at .25 ohm. The parallel is 26 gauge stainless 2.5mm 6 wraps at .25 ohm.

When I tried it I was amazed that the flavor was better and more consistent.

BTW, this is also using a Coppervape mech squonker.
