Sure.
You mean the concept Apple invented?
Apple was also the first in the electronics industry, to fleece customers wallets by slapping a silly apple logo on a cheap China made product worth 10 % of it's sale price.
Apple, a company that sells products on how you feel, rather than innovation and solid performance. 99% emotion and 1% innovation, yes Apple is great at selling marketing hype!

No worries there mate. If we all liked the same, we would all be married to the same woman. Tough on her eh? So, it all comes down to personal preference and how you use your phone. Sure, it might be a bit expensive but I'll happily pay a couple hundred extra for a device I can rely on. Hell, if I break mine and I'm not at fault apple will give me a new phone. That's pretty much enough for me.

Twice my daughter (7 years old) has been dress coded this month. Once because her shirt slipped off her shoulder, once because she pulled it down while reading and it was distracting the boys. I was called to bring a change of clothes (no mention of what was to be done if I had been working or unable to drop everything and go to the school) and her school day has been interrupted twice because of SHOULDERS.

How about we try not to sexualize what a 7 year old is wearing? How about just telling her not to pull it down, or giving her a t-shirt from lost and found to change into instead of taking her out of class for almost an hour? Oh, because the boys were distracted. That's a mortal sin.

Don't care whether you agree or disagree, you won't change my mind on this. I guarantee if a boys shoulder was showing they wouldn't stop the world for him.

Reminded me of a girl I went to school with, this was the 80s, mind you. She came to school wearing really long corduroy shorts, knee high socks, and a sweater. The shorts came to just the top of her knees. A teacher complained, something about dress code violations, told my friend she was being too promiscuous with her outfit and called her mom about it, my friend was in tears. Her mom couldn't leave work, gave them her opinion of
their ridiculousness. So the teacher took my friend home to change into jeans or pants. That was highly productive, and conducive to her education.... of what bitches be like.

I blame Apple.

So much crap. Showing up in a bikini is one thing, but typical street clothes shouldn't be a problem for anyone

Ok. Here is my opinion, like it or not....

When I went to school, in the 80's like Huck, girls were becoming sexually active in 6th grade. Even then, girls and boys would try to push modest dress codes. Most of us were talking about sex at LEAST by sixth grade. Some before.

While I find it insulting a little girl should be sent home or force a parent to bring clothes over a silly exposed shoulder, I look at our sexualized world we live in. Kids are exposed to sexual innuendo much earlier than most of my generation was.

Girls and boys just are NOT the same. Boys become aware and desire sex, usually before girls do. Today, I'm not sure if that is always necessarily true. But this much I know.....
Girls are taught to be sexual, expose more skin in the name of "freedom" and all that jazz. Boys can't help their desires. No classroom can teach them to not be what they are. While 7 years old is MUCH to young to think about sex, who knows what kids think in today's society.
However, I see so MUCH of teens/women exposing cleavage, midsections, wearing short shorts, yoga pants, etc. and then complain when a man makes a comment about their desirable body. Women expose it and highlight it, then complain when a man makes a natural reaction of a man.

So which way do you want it ladies? If you want a man not to cat call you, make comments about the sexuality you expose and on and on, you can't have it BOTH ways.

Granted, I KNOW this is about a young child, but at least my generation was taught very young, about dressing. Dressing a certain way may attract attention you don't want.

If a guy with a great body was walking around shirtless or wearing tight fitting speedo's showing off his junk, ladies would not look? They would not be distracted? They would not feel the desire to flirt? Pffff!

I remember well it was a big deal on how many piercings one could have 7 9 11 some oddball number was spoken weird days but I miss them
I miss mostly, that men were men, and women were women. There was not so much of the role reversal that there exists today. There was still the air of personal responsibility, and people did the right thing, rather than what they "felt" was right to them.

No offense here, we've had similar discussions before and will have to agree to disagree.

I don't feel someone can call for personal responsibility in all other areas, saying if I dress a certain way I'm asking to be looked at or more (sometimes it's balls hot y'all, I'm not wearing jeans instead of a dress because you can't stop looking or control your "manly urges") but then saying "boys can't help it, we can say whatever we have the urge to say or do whatever we have the urge to do because we are made that way"

Just my 2 cents

All I can say is this: No matter how a women dresses it is not an invitation for sexual harassment. I graduated school in 81. I remember history class. I will never forget this disgusting teacher displaying excitement (hard on). I have no idea who or what was his desire. I just thought to myself the dude was a pig.
